I recently wandered into this place on my mongering trip to Mazatlan. I visited this place two afternoons in a row and both times I was one of only 2 or 3 customers. IT WAS LIKE A TRIP INTO THE TWILIGHT ZONE! A fully stocked bar and well equipped club with no customers!

I sat down at the bar and noticed a very large, and very white, gentleman behind the bar speaking in Spanish to some Mexicans. He turned to me and said "Oh, I didn't see you!" (He initially said it in Spanish and when I didn't answer in Spanish he translated). He called himself Gordo and said he was the proprietor. He served me a Ballena of Pacifico. He asked me what I was doing so far away from the tourist area of Mazatlan.

I told him I was just exploring. I told him that I was an adventurer and that it was my hobby to just explore and find new TD bars. He said he had been living in Mazatlan for over 22 years and very rarely even spoke English. I asked him about his club. He told me that his club used to be called "Dos Gordos" and that it was the "classiest TD club in Mazatlan". I told him about my experiences at El Caballito and he said that that place was "a dump, compared to what Dos Gordos was!". He compared Dos Gordos to clubs in NYC. He said he had the best looking women working in his club, comparable to the most beautiful models in the world. But he also said that it was very wild and said people would be fucking in public at his club. He said Dos Gordo's glory days ended about ten years ago. He said I missed it, and it would never return again.

I asked him: "WHY, GREAT OMNIPOTENT FAT MAN, CAN YOU NOT REBUILD DOS GORDOS TO THE GLORY OF YESTERYEAR?" And the great fat man replied: it cannot be done, because I am in poor health! He then described to me his past life of excessive debauchery and lasciviousness. He described his abuses of all substances known to man. He said he indulged in more sex than I could ever dream of with the most beautiful women in the world. But because of these excesses, he said he is now in very poor health.

Despite what Gordo said, I intend to stop in and say hello to the "Fat Man" with every visit I make to Mazatlan. I have a feeling that he has plans for that place that he is not sharing with me. It has all the booths, tables, dance floor and well stocked bar that a good Mexican TD Bar needs. Except for the all important chicas, it appeared ready to open.

Gordo said that college kids from California used to stop there with their girlfriends so that their girlfriends could give them a BJ in public and he sold TShirts that said "I GOT A BJ AT DOS GORDOS".

There is a very large mural on one wall of naked woman. He said that mural has remained from Dos Gordos hay-days and anyone that had visited his club should remember it. I am emailing a photo of the mural, as well as a current photo of the building to Administrator.

If anyone can verify any of this history and/or can add any personal recollections of Dos Gordos I would much appreciate it. Gordo said he currently has no computer. I promised him that I would search CH for information about his club, but so far I have found very little in the archives. I would very much appreciate any input that any CH members can give. I forgot to add that Gordo said he is an expatriate American, from California. He said he hasn't been back in 22 years.

If its the same place I remember, when it was Dos Gordos, it was rather upscale. I blew a fortune on a stripper who was on the rag that night.

I don't see a thread for Dragon Rojo, so I'm posting here because Dragon Rojo is opposite Tres Gordos. I went there one night. The place has live music most of the time, very loud. It must have been a motel once. The empty pool can be seen from the restroom. The chicas are very average, many are fat and/or older. The prices start from 300 pesos for half an hour in motel-type rooms.

The reason I did not post about Dragon Rojo was because Gordo warned me not to go in there. He said it was full of fagots and people got shot and stabbed in there. I took his word on that as I saw some transvestites walking the street around there. Besides, Gordo has lived accross the street for years so he out to know.
