Los llamados "reservados" de todos ‘Taibol dance’ o salones de baile, fueron ‘clausurados’ al descubrirse supuestas prácticas de prostitución.

Un operativo especial proveniente de la capital de la entidad constató que a pesar de la nueva ley estatal que prohíbe los ‘privados’, éstos se seguían usando por lo que el jueves fueron clausurados todos los TDS de esta ciudad.
El operativo estatal que fue acompañado por elementos de la Subdirección de Alcoholes a cargo de Alejandro Peral, también revisó distintos puntos donde presuntamente se vende alcohol después del horario establecido.
La Dirección General de Alco-holes en Hermosillo, concretamente Inspección y Vigilan-cia que dirige Arnoldo Salazar Coker, mantuvo completo hermetismo, sin embargo el hecho fue conformado por distintos propietarios de estos centros nocturnos.

En ésta última oficina se solicitó llamar a la Dirección de Comunicación Social de la Secretaría Hacienda del Estado, pero allí manifestaron carecer de la información requerida, al no enviarla aun la mencionada oficina de Inspección y Vigilancia.

Los reservados son pequeños cubículos donde cada bailarina baila en forma privada al cliente, sin embargo, es conocido que allí se practica la prostitución en un cambio de giro no autorizado por la autoridad competente.

El operativo se presentá luego de la polémica que desatara el caso Giovanna presentado por este medio de comunicación.

Como se recordará dicho reportaje comenzó con la historia de una bebé abandonada por una madre alcoholica y drogadicta.

Luego la información se dirigió hacia los expendios que son causantes de este tipo de problemas, hasta derivar en que fueran cerrados varios de ellos.

Hoy parece rendir frutos los esfuerzos de El Diario.

Is that correct? Any confirmation from poeple on the ground that have been there since Thursday?

No way I can translate this article but it seems the core of the problem is the "Nogales model" of strip clubs operating as wide open on-premises brothels which for whatever reason, doesn't seem acceptable to certain Mexican municipalities which tolerate prostitution in other formats. Nogie TD-type clubs are technically neither legal nor tolerated in TJ either - though it exists in TJ more discreetly (these days) than in the wide open times of Nogales. I would think that the next commercial sex push in Nogie will be an attempt to establish venues following the AB/CC model where the sex takes place in a separate hotel with the bar serving only as a meeting place. The industry isn't going to just roll up and die after getting a hearty sniff of the gringo monger dollar over these last years. In the end, Nogie mongers may end up getting a new deal, and a better deal at that.

i wonder if the smaller bars, like tecolote, protros, and la conga are going to get tons of business now... erip , i agree, i just cant see the nogi sex industry just drying up and fading away.. way tooo much money to be made.. i would love adelitas style bar in nogi, about two or three of them would be great...

I pretty much agree with everything Erip said. However, I have no confidence in the Nogales bar owners to open venues with AB/CC style pricing (which would be reasonable) in the next generation of the Nogales sex scene.

Even recent La Conga prices have been up around the high $70 and $80 mark. I would imagine that if we see the transformation of the Nogales scene to a TJ style setup the prices would still be in the range of the private half hour bedrooms at LB/Placer's/Boliero and that's just ridiculous.

Of course, I could be wrong as well. Guess we'll see. But I've been wishing/hoping for a big shakeup in the Nogales scene for a while now. It should be interesting to see where this leads us. Will sex in Nogie still carry a premium price? Or will the opening of a few more LA Conga type places drive prices down? Will La Conga type places still attract top notch talent like the strip clubs did?

During that time I have been to Phillipines and Thailand.

Now I need to eat crow and take back everything good that I ever said about nogales.

I dropped by Nogales to take a peek around.
I went to Lust and Obsessions. Lust had nothing that I found attractive and Obsessions prices were pretty high.

25$ private
150$ for one of the nicer girls...and that doesn't include the room fee.
