hi, and after reading the posts that have been posted to date, i have a few questions if anyone could help me out. i am going to la paz on 2-15-05 ( with the wife )but i will have some time to play by myself plus she likes to lay around the pool most of the day ( lucky me!!!! ). it seems to me that the places, Lord Black & Vickys are the one's to visit, they may cost more then Mi Ranchities but i pefer hassle- free fun. does anyone know the correct address's for Lord Black & Vickys ( near a VW dealership )????? or do they have e-mail/web site. wheres the best seafood in town both cheap and more dollors????. also, if anyone as comments on hotels to stay and cost is not a big deal, we want a nice place to kick back and enjoy life. thanks guys- party on, baby.

Ok. La Paz is one of my favorite towns. Places to stay. I recommend the La Concha Hotel. Go all the way through town on the Malecon (walk way along the water) and go out towards Tecelote (the penincola). It will be on your left about a mile out of town. Pleasant pool, restaurant, bar, beach, snorkelling right in front of the Hotel. For more upscale go Crown Royal just as you enter town from the south/west. Beautiful pool and absolutely gorgeous restaurant but almost always empty because of the high price and poor beach. If you eat there in the day (and I recommend it) tell the waitress Maribel that Haj says Hello. For food I have several recommendation. Take the drive out to the beach at Tecolote. Almost no gringos go there but its beatiful with a couple restaurant right on the beach. I like the one that has a boat built into it. The chocolate clams (almejas) and the Camorones (shrimp) diabla are great. The Perla restaurant on the Malecon is great for breakfast more for the atmosphere than the food. Kiwi is a nice little restaurant on the Malecon but my favorite in town is called La Bistrot. From the Malecon go south on 16 de Septiembre one block and park.At the corner is a great coffee shop. Very European. Above is a good chinese restaurant. Turn right at the corner. YOn your right you will see Scotia Bank, an Italian Restaurant and La Bistrot next (yellow building). Does not look like much outside but inside has tables around an inner courtyard. Check out the town plaza in front of the mission on Sunday especially. Also check out the Malecon ot sunset. Half the town come out just to stroll. If your up for a drive head out to Todos Santos. Charming little town on the way to Cabo (Pacific route). Art galleries, restaurants.
I checked out Vickys last week. Nine or ten girls but nothing outstanding and it is out service. Check it out though. Ocassionally has some real pearls. Lord Black is on the main highway headed towards Cabo on the right as you go south. MIxed experiences there. The zona is on the same highway further out. Take a cab, no problem cathching one back. Mi Ranchito is the biggest and most well known but kinda grubby. There is club just around the corner from that one that has really imoproved. About 25 girls there on a Friday some 8s and 9s.
Have fun!

Correction on Lord Blacks. It is on the left as you go south. Pink building. Nothing much before 11pm.
