This isn't much of a report, but I had a stopover here a couple weeks back to have a few beers and asked a couple questions of the bartender at a bar near the main bus station (Polo's Bar -- NO action unless you want to hit on the waitresses and you could probably buy them beers). He told me that there was indeed a little action in Torreon, but most of it was at a couple of strip clubs and that the Zona de Tolerancia (that ALL cities of any size in Mexico have) was pretty nasty -- very similar to my experiences in Saltillo, 3 hours away, the capitol of Coahuila.
Like Saltillo, Torreon is a dry town on Sundays, and the bartender told me that things were a lot more liberal in their sister city Gomez Palacio, located just across the state line in Durango (it's all the same metro area), where things are quite a bit more lively and open on Sundays.
