It is getting to be very expensive down there. Unfortunately by now I seem to know all the girls in Nogales after the last year of mongering. They alway want drinks too. The fucking drinks seem to be as much as $12 for a dixie cup of nothing and the waiters really push them. That needs to stop.

If you know all the girls why dont you try and set up a time outside of the bar and add the $10 to what you pay (or half of it anyway)

I know. I do get together with them outside the bars for regular dates or even allnighters often. I think they are under some pressure by the house inside. I have had girls even buy me shit outside of the t.d's. It is definitely different when they are at work.

I'll say they are under pressure.
1. The club gets a % of all table dances ($3.00 per), vip tickets($10.oo per), and fake drinks ($5.00 per) you buy for girls. All of the $$ of cover charges ($3.00 per) and drink sales ($2.50 per).
2. The girls are not on salary but make their living from a % of dances ($5.00), vip ($10.00) & fake drinks ($5.00) plus all of what they get in "tips".
3. Waiters & waitresses work for peanuts almost.
4. Ticket sellers get a small % of ticket sales (50 cents per) but no salary.
The more the club gets, the more they want.
Recently, the "mayordomo" at Cherry's quit and opened up a restaurant. Yikes! Anyway, his replacement is a younger, more driven type that pushes these "house" money makers all he can. He's probably getting some nice incentives (based on his predecessor.)
I agree with Roberto, it's not only expensive, it's annoying.
My experience around this, though, is to offer the girl the entire amount (if you really want her to sit with you), do this discreetly though.
I also buy a ticket (any type) and give it to them while we sit, when they ask when I want the dance (or whatever) I say, not yet.
You think that $2.50 per beer with a room full of drinkers would be enough for the house, I guess not.
They should take advantage of what they have. They are the only "daytime" club, people pile in there by the hoards, people who want to be home by dinner time stop by, it's a good thing. They also do not have to compete with the other 30 night clubs (exaggerating, of course).

I don't drink, and I have to pay $2.50 for a glass of mineral water that is 2/3rds ice.

On my one night out with Diabetic, I would guess he had 8-10 of those mineral water drinks. I am also a non drinker and wish they had the bottled water in Nogales.

Also, I think some of the more popular women "charge" $12 per lady drink instead of $10 and also a dollar more for table dances. Anyone else noticed this?

I've never done Nogales. But, on my last trip to TJ, I was running low on money and sitting with my friends and a chica I know pretty well. I told her how much money I had in my wallet. I told her we could sit and drink and she'd get half my money or we could go upstairs and she'd get all of it.
Up we went!

info on jose requested. everytime i cross into nogales a tall slim dark skinned gent named jose, always dressed in a long trench coat, greets me and try's to set me up with a girl outside of the club that he alleges is better looking than any club girl. he quotes a $80 price plus $15 for a room for one half hour. jose once worked at either lord blacks or lipsticks. one of those. does anyone know if this guy is for real. is seeing chica's outside of the clubs safe and a better deal? any thoughts or actual experiences would be appreciated

some of the reviews are mixed..there have been posts of all nighters for $150 with waitresses that went well, so stories of street girls for $50 that were rushed and uninspired...I am not sure about Jose, but Jessie, who works at lord black and placers, may be able to assist you...Just ask for Jessie, he also has gotten mixed reviews, YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY...Also, please proceed with caution..but i know that jessie has some connections with street girls...
