One night during the Gerald Ford administration, I was driven from downtown I de Matamoros to a road house on the outskirts of town, where chicas were available for 100 pesos a throw. Last night I was in Puebla, and I figured, what the heck, I will check out I de Matamoros to see what has changed. Its about a 45 minute drive, I got to downtown, and racked my brain for the directions. After a couple of minutes, I found the bar, or rather, its successor, there are now several bars located on the road to Oaxaca. Unfortunately, the selection of chicas was not too good, so I passed.
The bars all have open fronts, probably so the cops can see inside. They open in late afternoon, and close whenever the last customer leaves, maybe at 4 in the morning.
Master Bates would love this place.

Whoooaaahhh!!
A chica from Puebla informed me that Izucar de Matamoros has a complete zona de tolerancia, except that its the opposite direction from the bars I saw last year - instead of turning left on the road to Oaxaca, turn right towards Cuatla (ie west), after passing south through the town.
