Best kept secret is climate & friendly people poor as they are in Atlixco, Puebla at foot of Popocateptl Volcano. Not tourist spoiled beautiful girls in nearby towns where many men left for US & never retured, families now alone.Americans desired for employers & husbands, lovers.

Not to mention that Atlixco is the nearest town to Puebla with a casa de senoritas.
Even more fun is Izucar de Matamoros.
However, Atlixco does possess the best climate in the world.

Seriously, you wouldn't believe me if I told you.

Explorer, I have driven thru Izucar de Matamoros at night, and (being drunk at the time) did not notice any whore houses. Are there any? Where, as I will be in the neighborhood in January.
By The Gnomes of Zurich on Sunday, August 25, 2002 - 06:35 pm: Edit |
Explorer,
The most likely thing is that you work for Conde Nast, which I recall at one point had a magazine called "Explorer."
The most ridiculous thing I can imagine you telling me is that you're with Amnesty International flying around looking for political prisoners.
Barring that, you've posted too many reports in too many different locations for me NOT to believe you.
Generalize, if you must, to conceal your identity. ("I'm a CEO" instead of "I'm the CEO of Volkswagen, Mexico")
But dammit, I want that kind of job.

I'm a retired heavy metal guitar player who now designs spaceships.
I played in a roadhouse in Izucar de Matamoros once, so that's how I know about Atixco and Matamoros.

Wow. I didn't know that Mexicans liked heavy metal.
Did you do all of Mexico on a tour of some kind?

By Explorer8939 on Friday, August 30, 2002 - 07:22 pm: Edit |
Well, in Izucar I was actually playing disco, I am shamed to admit.
However, at the end of the shows, I got to play some metal once the audience was sufficiently drunk. I played a bunch of cities in Mexico, life was great.
Now I just design spaceships for a living, where the only consolation is that I do it in Russia.
By Sexpig2000 on Sunday, November 03, 2002 - 04:12 pm: Edit |
Wow Explorer if you claim you are a Metal Dude Why Did you play Disco? Was it good metal not crap like Poison or winger? Gnomes man What the Hell you think all Mexican people listen to only Salsa and Mariachi music? I lived in Mexico city for 9 months in 1998 and I roadied with the number 1 Famous band in Mexico Transmetal from the Ste of Mexico that is where they are from actually north of Mexico City and Man Did I fuck a lot of groupies and even sign a lot of autographs. I even helped bring two Chicago bands to tour with Transmetal and Luzbel. The Bands were Burnt Offering and Johnny Vomit. Come on again Gnomes Not all Latin people listen to that Salsa and Technocumbia SHIT. In Cuba too there is a Strong Metal scene too. Sorry off Topic on Sex Hunting But I had to clear this stereotypical attitude of Latin people. How about sex hunting info on Tlaxcala? I heard you could get some good young whores there.... Sexpig,
I was in the Df during the same time. Maybe crossed paths. Where did the group you were with play. I saw a couple of metal bands at Rock Stock on Reforma. Ever play there?
All sorts of music in Mexico. All sorts of people in Mexico. Not anything like most gringos imagine it to be.
By Sexpig2000 on Friday, November 22, 2002 - 07:06 pm: Edit |
Yes I was at Rockstock before with a band called Ultratumba. I remember other shows being there but never made it to those shows. Kind of a pretty trendy place on like the 2nd or 3rd floor. Darn 1998 in DF ruled. It was great. I think A German Band Rammstein played at Rockstock too in 98 and Impaled Nazarene but I trully am not in to those Two European bands. I may have been at Rockstock more then once I am not totaaly sure on that. Ultratumba is a Band from DF with very famous metal dudes in the Mexican scene. Alright man Keep me updated on Rockstock and even Atlixco if you know info on that city too,,, SP 2000..
By Batster1 on Thursday, November 28, 2002 - 11:57 am: Edit |
Yeah. It was pretty trendy. Second floor joint just like you remember. They did have lots of good hard rock. But other nights they have techno, house, and other shit like that. I am real bad with names but we used to catch some pretty good rock gigs at a place I think called infusion. It was in a house in Col. Roma over by parque Orizaba. DF is fuckin awesome. I was ther 98-2001 and want to move back.
By Sexpig2000 on Saturday, November 30, 2002 - 12:40 pm: Edit |
Cool Dude I miss Mexico city a lot I am now in Argentina if your ever back in DF check out concerts by Transmetal or Luzbel. They always have there concert flyers posted all over Df. Always shows Fridays and saturdays. A good rock market is Chopo every saturday afternoon by the Df Train station. I used to live a few blocks south from that area in a cheap stink hotel with a few small cockaroaches 5 dollars a night hot shower, Cable with two porno channels a few blocks more south were a few streetwalker areas. I think the Barrio was called Guerro or something like that This was defenitly north of Zona Rosa...

So, anyone ever been to Atlixco?
By Gregorio on Saturday, June 11, 2005 - 07:47 pm: Edit |
I was there almost exactly two years ago. Real indigenous kind of place. Decided to stop there on the bus trip back from Veracruz to D.F. because I'd read about it on this board. It's about a half hour outside Puebla. There is a small boystown area with about four bars. I was unimpressed with the place overall. There is another bar, more in town, called the Three Brothers, another strip joint. I was THE ONLY GRINGO I saw in that town, didn't have any problems though. I never did check out any action in the city of Puebla, just Atlixco.
I won't be going back, but at least I satisfied my curiosity about Veracruz, which is a worthwhile place if you can stand the heat.
By Explorer8939 on Sunday, June 12, 2005 - 07:29 pm: Edit |
What hotel did you stay in?
Funny thing, I lived on the other side of the hill from Atlisco and almost never went there.
By Gregorio on Monday, June 13, 2005 - 03:11 am: Edit |
If someone would give me a list of 10 or so names I could pick it out, but off the top of my head I just can't come up with it. It was on the main highway coming into town from Puebla, on the left hand side (going in). It was a nice, quiet place with cable TV etc. No AC though, but AC is rarely needed there as you well know, the climate is damn near perfect.
Downtown, by the bus station, apparently there are some low-rent joints, but a cabbie advised me against it. Atlixco kinda reminded me of a mini-Oxaca.
I would have never known it even existed if I hadn't read your posts about it on this board before I went. I get the feeling they don't see many gringos there. It's kinda off the beaten path that's for sure.
The last major destination I'd still like to visit in Mexico is Acapulco. I have no desire whatsoever to visit Cancun.

While I was in the Fracaso bar, one of the chicas told me that she used to work in a bar in Atlixco called "Churrasco" or "Cubasco", located near the zocalo, a very small taxi bar.
By Gregorio on Thursday, June 16, 2005 - 11:47 pm: Edit |
Fracaso bar? I think I've been in a lot of those LOL...Where is that, Atlixco? I do remember one of the bars in the zona, I think it was the best bar, was called "El Gato Negro"...I gotta admit, I had spent about five days in Veracruz in brutally hot, muggy heat, plus I had a touch of the flu. I was not in fine form when I went to Atlixco, so my negativity may be totally unwarrented. I'm sure at certain times of the year, it may be a great place to party. You can say that about a lot of mongering destinations.
By Explorer8939 on Friday, June 17, 2005 - 09:36 am: Edit |
Sorry, Fracaso is in TJ, I was talking to chica who used to work at Chubasco, but her padrote moved her to TJ.
Anyway, my plan is to stay at some reasonable hotel by the Zocalo, and check out the bars nearby.
By Gregorio on Friday, June 17, 2005 - 11:18 pm: Edit |
I've never been to TJ, let alone California. There is a new airport in the St. Louis area (on the Illinois side) that offers occasional $160 RT fares to Las Vegas. I was thinking of flying to Vegas, renting a car, and driving to TJ if time permits sometime. I wonder if it's any rougher than Ciudad Juarez. I've hit all the Texas border towns, and never seen a place as rough looking as Juarez, maybe anywhere in the world...
By Explorer8939 on Saturday, June 25, 2005 - 12:08 pm: Edit |
Its the Chubasco Bar, located near the Zocalo. It opens around 1 pm, and closes at 10 pm, so its mostly a daytime place. The chicas are about the quality of Fracaso, and some rotate up there, and prices are similar. A ficha drink is 30 pesos.
I stayed at the Agua Verde hotel, 250 pesos, about 3 blocks north of the bar.
The chicas remembered Veronica, the Fracaso chica. One left the bar with me, gratis, but that is another story. Otherwise, the bar has rooms upstairs, prices are cheap.
By Senor Pauncho on Saturday, August 26, 2006 - 12:44 pm: Edit |
The location of Bar Chubasco is 25 paces west of the intersection of "4 Poniente" and "3 Norte".
If you stand at the Kiosco in the Zocolo facing the municipal building, do a left face. You should see a "Telephonica Moviestar" cell phone store.
If you cross the street at the crosswalk slightly the the left of the "Moviestar" store, you will be on "Avenida Libertad".
Walk one block (West to 4 Poniente/Oriente).
If you turn left it you are on "4 Poniente".
walk on the left side of the street, walk one block plus 25 feet and you can't miss it.
(Or you can do as I did and ask the local constabulary where it is located.)
When you enter, the ambiance might scare you a little. Just buy a drink, tip the bartender 10 pesos, and act like you belong.
Elizabeth (formerly of Hotel Eduardo and Bar Fracaso of Tijuana) works there and if she recognizes you will greet you in a friendly manner.
The girls are fichera/putas, 10 pesos/dance, 15 minutes in the room will cost you 150 pesos (including the room) but they will pull the standard SG shit of wanting more money to take off their top, etc.
Fairly decent looking girls a notch below Tijuana SGs, but with dour expressions on their faces.
If, instead, you turn right, a half block down in the middle of the block is "Hotel Atlixco".
Rooms with private bath and TV 150 pesos.
(without TV and comunal baths cost less.
My second day I changed rooms. As I entered, I walked all of the way back to my room (Number 3) and looked to the left. I and noticed a family group of women sitting around chatting and doing needle work. Or so I thought ....
Turns out that eight chicas work out of this hotel. They are fatter and older than Bar Chubasco chicas (But nobody that would interest Master Bates greatly). It's more of a basic whorehouse setup.
At least one of the chicas (Maribel) provides distinctly superior service.
I have spent several one-hour sessions with her.
The hours are 3 pm to 8 pm, although one less desirable chica (IMHO) comes in earlier.
Negotiated prices usually include the room.
By Senor Pauncho on Saturday, August 26, 2006 - 01:14 pm: Edit |
I've now spent a week here, and the average (non-sex-worker) 20 year-old chica is rather distant to old-fart (60-ish) mongers like myself.
But, like I have mentioned in "Chica Psychology Archive 2 –
August 08, 2002 - 05:21 am: HOW TO MEET GIRLS - IGNORE THEM
Number 30"
Normal Mexican girls are quite proper. They may want to (or be willing to) talk to you, BUT, some kind of proper "excuse" is required.
Several youngish girls (17-23) now talk to me
because they have seen me around a few times and I do business (eat at their restaurant)with them.
All of a sudden it's "Paunchito" or "Guerito" and being teased about not remembering their names.
It's not like they are coming on to me, but more like I'm being accepted. With acceptance comes referrals to family and friends (although not yet).
Mexical females are big-time matchmakers.

A week in Atlixco!! Isn't that the world's record?
By Senor Pauncho on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 - 03:08 pm: Edit |
Atlixco - best climate in the world (so they say)
But that is if you like it nice and warm.
When I made detailed inquiries as to the climate (to the tourism center in the zocalo), they referred me to SOAPAMA (municipal water company).
SOAPAMA referred me to CONAGUA (Nacionàl Comisiòn de las Aguas) in Puebla.
When I went there, they referred me to another office. Where I ended up going was
CONAGUA
Boulevar Mèxico 68 number 5020
Colonia Mèxico 68
Puebla, Puebla
Phone (222) 213-0547
The place does not look like a goverment office, but you can recognize it by the large lawn and the security guard.
The person who helped me was
Srta Juana Marìa Tavares.
The information is not available as a computer file. She has to dig it out, then you take it to the xerox shop across the street to make copies.
They have the information for the State of Puebla only. If you want this information for other states, you would probably have to go to the CONAGUA offices for that state.
Humidity information weas not available.
I imagine that Baja California office would be in the capital - Mexicali.
By Explorer8939 on Thursday, August 31, 2006 - 01:21 pm: Edit |
I thought the best climate in the world was in Tenancingo, and that's why the padrotes live there.
