My brother and I are planning a trip to either Nogales or Agua Prieta, for Saturday Oct 1. Please advise as to which would be more "SUCCESSFUL".

Forget about Agua Prieta during midday. Most of the bars do not get going til a lot later. You might troll the bars close to the border for some part-timers, but that is really hit or miss.

Nogales only has Cherries and maybe Rio's open during the day. Slim pickens at Rio's, so Cherries is your best bet. I don't think any of those bars get going much before 2-3pm. Your only other alternative is to check out some of non-strip club bars across the tracks, look for some street girls or, as a last resort, try one of the touts or cabbies.

YOur going to have to go "off" the beaten track to get some action midday at either of those places. If you do, please feel free to publish your findings.

Recently was in nogales about 3,4wks ago. I'm a truck driver and was at a brokerage warehouse on a fri at about 11,12(morning,early afternoon) and wanted to go over the border. After talking to some warehouse workers I changed my mind. They told me there was absolutely no action at that time or during the day period. He told me to go over at night but I could'nt wait. I told these guys I was used to TJ because I live in San Diego and they just snickered. They said nogales is nothing like TJ and that I would be dissapointed. If you find anything daytime please post and I think next time I'll ck out cherrys and rios. Thanks for the info.

JBR, you made the correct decision not to cross. There is no action in Nogales during the daytime, even in it's heyday it was rare. Most of the girls are still sleeping at noon. There is no street scene like TJ. Cherrys followed by Rios was the ticket in the old days.

I would assume you could try La Conga early. Most likely they can summon girls.
