I stopped at this casa de cita last night around 11:00 PM. It is located 1/2 block east of the corner of Isuaro Alfaro and Tamaulipas in Tampico. The numbers 524 are prominently displayed right next to the door. Upon entry, all of the available girls present themselves and if you are a first timer, they have a list of services and prices on the wall in both Spanish and English. Services started at 275 pesos for 30 minutes with basic service en casa up to 1500 pesos for a home visit. I don't know if these prices are standard for casas in Tampico, although I think they're probably a bit high. I chose the second level of service that went for 400 pesos. At the current exchange rate that works out to about $35.
When I arrived there were only four girls working; 2 - 4s, a 5, and a 7. I obviously chose the 7 - Rubi, a 20 year old from Poza Rica. She's a bottle blonde (and actually pulls it off fairly well for a Mexicana), who's slim with A/B chichis and a nice ass. I could easily bump her up to an 8, except for a couple of tattoos - a big tat of the Angel of Death on her shoulder and "Kane" across the top of her ass - and she was a little soft.
The room she took me to was basic, just a low plastic-covered mattress with a blanket on top. However, it was air-conditioned - a must at this time of the year in Tampico. The walls did not go to the ceiling, but there was a door.
Rubi was a solid performer giving a good, although covered, BJ and allowing multiple positions. She never tried to hit me up for a tip and that is always appreciated. Afterwards, we chatted a little. She told me that they don't see a lot of Americans there, but do see a lot of Chinese, Koreans and Filipinos who work the ships that dock in Tampico.
All-in-all, it was a nice change of pace for me from the SGs I usually target when in Tampico.

Thanks for the Tampico update.
I was there for the very first time about three months back. Flew to McAllen, spent a night in Reynosa, bussed to Monterrey for a couple days there, then bussed the long trip down to Tampico.
I really enjoyed the place, but was only there two days. Those two plaza areas in the centro really conjure up a different time and place in Mexico.
Gringos are few and far between, and I expected that considering the location. To get to Tampico, you have to want to get to Tampico.
I bought several souvenirs including quite a few bootleg CDs in the market area. Ate some good "comida corrida" in the food stalls there as well. Poured down a couple of cauguamas at a big bar down by the pier. In general, had an enjoyable time.
I wish I had more time to explore the nightlife scene. Someone mentioned a place called "El Sotano" but I never made it there. Did hit a strip joint about two blocks down from the market. Not super impressed though.
Hint, the sleazier nightlife area is just down from the market. At night there is a huge well-lit Corona beer sign on an arch over the street that begins the sleaze area.

Yup, Tampico is not on the beaten path. There's really not much of a reason for the average tourist to go there as there are better beaches, architecture, and archeology in other locations in Mexico. However, I work near here so frequent the city quite a bit.
For more adult oriented pursuits, the area around the Plaze de la Libertad has the best action.
If I get bored, I'll write up something about what can be found in Tampico.
