I have read so many outstanding reports about good times in Nogales. But they are all two years old or better.
What happened? economics? Political upheaval?
Does anybody go to Nogales anymore?

Two words:

Border politics.

In a nutshell, they changed the laws (outlawing "privados"), and when business dropped, in typical Mexicanomics fashion all the clubs and girls raised their prices to outlandish levels to try to compensate - reducing their business even further. Nogi is but a shadow of the fun town it once was.

Is this unique to noglas or have all the border towns shut down?

TJ is about the same as always, Nuevo Laredo I haven't heard of much different. Pretty much just Nogales, as far as places that were good (for Mexico) 5-10 years ago but have gone downhill.

The last time I hopped the fence to TJ was about three years ago, I was in Agua Prieta about 2.5 years ago. Other boards may have more up-to-date info, the Mexico monger crowd fled ClubHombre for the most part 2-3 years ago.

Nogales has gone downhill the most due to one factor: GREED. The dumb owners just kept raising prices and eventually it backfired. Most of the clubs are closed or empty.

If you know you way around, you can still get cheap sex with hot girls.

TJ is by FAR, the best value and selection.

Has anybody from this board actually go anymore to Nogales? On the World board there are still one or two intrepid souls who travel there and actually spend money. Although some were paying over-the-top grigo prices, recently a few that were boasting of getting some of club girls to one of the local hotels for $50-60.

Down to four clubs now...well when I first went to Nogie about 20 years ago, I think there were just two clubs. Maybe when they get down to two, they can start over and this time do it right.

I make a weekly trip when in town. There are still four clubs near the boarder. Lust has reopen with few girls. Eros massage are closed some nights due to slow business. The price has come down a little in the clubs. But you best bet is to talk to a guide who knows some girls working to get a better deal. But most of the better looking one is going to ask for $100 or little more. The trick is to know who is tells the truth and who will go around the corner and get a street girl and charge you double.

There is some work being done to improve the area but because of the perceived violence, it will be awhile before more clubs open. I see some work being done to the old Placers and possibly Lord Black. Basically everything has to go under and then new money can come in and with the cooperation of the city, they could do it right. It used to be such a blast. I miss the good times in all these cities.
