I was taken to this place by Regio a week or so back, and it was truly different than anyplace I have ever been in Mexico. It was very slow there about midnight on a Friday, and oddly quiet as the jukebox was waaay short on usage. But the place looked seriously upscale and the chicas may actually be worth seeking out there.

Outside there were a couple of guys directing traffic for the street parking and greeting potential visitors. There is a disco next door. As we walked in we were greetd by a couple heavy guys in suits, and asked if we were looking for anything in particular. Mi amigo explained that I was new and that we were just going to check things out. We walked through a hallway with a bunch of open doors to get to the lounge area in the back. The doors were for full service rooms, including beds and showers, and for private lounge rooms with sofas and coffee tables. One of the big guys in a suit took our drink orders and went to fetch them. To borrow a line from Good Will Hunting, he looked like he liked to 'putt from the rough'.

Anyway, when we arrived there were MAYBE 2 other dudes in the place talking to girls and a whole bunch of the guys in the suits. There seemed to be about 7 or so chicas when we got there and about 4 more showed up in the next half hour. My amigo told me it looked like a slow night, and later he said it was probably due to a concert in town that night. The chicas that WERE there, though, included some that were rather attractive. They better be, as when my amigo explained the prices I almost FAINTED.

He said that the package deal of a girl for 45 minutes, one of their onsite rooms and a drink for the chica ran 1500 pesos. A HUNDRED AND FIFTY BUCKS FOR FORTY-FIVE MINUTES? WTF? Obviously when I heard THAT it was purely window shopping mode for ME. But my amigo had a regular girl there and we weren't there 5 minutes before she came in in street clothes. She said hello and then went to change. VERY Thin, white skin, young, pretty, as you might expect in a place that charges prices like this.

She was back a few minutes later dressed in the standard working chica costume, and my amigo bought her a drink and then made sure I'd wait for him before whisking her to a room in the hallway. All I could do was resolve to buy an extra lottery ticket the next week!

Some foreigners started to trickle in about 12:30, including a group of a half-dozen or so Japanese guys and some paunchy white dudes. They were seated and served drinks and all chicas present were paraded in front of them for introductions. The Japanese ended up heading for a more private lounge room, while the white guys grabbed two chicas from the lineups and were headed upstairs within 5 minutes of arrival.

At this point the rather dead place seemed totally deserted. I was bored and started falling asleep. Couldn't even really drink to keep entertained as my can of Tecate had already cost 5 bucks (though my amigo ended up paying for that)! If only they knew how poor I really was they would have never let me in in the first place!

But seriously, if you have the money and are looking for an upscale place in Monterrey, you should go and check Divain out. The decor was very nice, the rooms looked clean from what I could see in passing, and there were a couple girls that would blow away the curve at places like Chicago Club in TJ. Of course there were several 5's too, so it's not like this is hottie heaven...

My amigo tells me that you can take chicas into the lounge rooms merely by buying them a drink to 'discuss' the arrangements. He also said that the chicas can get VERY friendly in the lounge rooms trying to close the deal. At those prices they almost have too.

I guess if it's a quality experience with a quality looking chica it's not that bad of a deal in Monterrey. The top girls would be top girls at Obsession strip club, and two 15 minute privados at Obsession would run you 130 bucks... So instead of a bribe to the security guy to fuck off while you screw the girl (assuming she wants no tip, as I think most don't if you buy 2 dances), it's almost the same price and you get slightly more time and a real room with a bed and shower. It's still not something I'll be trying anytime soon. I'll stick with the 15 dollar massage girls and tipping for extras in the 5 dollar privados at places like the Matehuala

Those prices are way, way out of line, unless you are a true high roller. I agree with your strategy, get some decent privados with the girls with braces...

Been here. I agree the girls were hot. The prices are steep as well but if you are a monied local, then a room and a high price girl is seems less expensive.

When you are in a hotel and have a room, it seems like an extravegence. The bar fine alone is a much as the price quoted above.

The girls are agressive, while you negotiate. They do take a credit card with an additional 10% upcharge.

The service is simular to any of the MPs in Monterrey. The quality is higher at Divain but you sometimes luck into someone good looking in the MPs, especially early in the afternoon vs late at night.

You have to consider that a whorehouse is not a lapdancing club or a MP.
Divain proprly speaking is in the middle of the price range.
At a lap dancing club, for example the TVO that my friend Porker mentions around here in the board, they charge you 1800 pesos por 30 minutes, plus the tab. Compare it to the 2000 pesos plus tab that the Obession charges for a VIP privado or the same price you pay at the Poisson.
At Divain I payed 1600, girl, room and drinks.
I prefer the Divain because it's more relaxed and you can find girls that are less fake in the way they act here in this place.
And you get a BED and a private BATHROOM (both clean) that you don't get at the clubs.
the lap dancing joints are good for watching girls and getting hardons... but if you want a good service the Divain is the best.
Respectfuly for all my companions here at the board I do not like the MPs here... I don't like hit and runs. I like my girls naked and horizontal on a bed on clean sheets to cuddle.
You guys should compare prices and try girls at the Divain like my girlfriend Andrea that like her job and cums 3 times and loves to please me in almost all ways...

Thanks for the firsthand report, Regio, and I agree that if you're looking for a quality experience with a hot girl and you have the money, Divain might be the place for you. I would like to say, though, that when comparing it to the onsite experience at Obsession and TVO and Poisson, I think the prices at those places are out of wack too!

While the girls at a place like the Matehuala are higher volume than the chicas at the more upscale places, the best looking girls there are as attractive as the best looking girls at the more expensive bars. And getting them out of the bar for a salida is going to be a lot less expensive than a short time session at the more expensive places. The quality will depend on the girl, obviously, I don't think Cassandra the RoboBlonde would be anything BUT a robot no matter how much you pay her. But giving the 1000 pesos that the Matehuala girls QUOTE (they don't necessarily GET that much) plus money for the bar to someone like Sol or Leyla or, GULP, maybe even my old friend Elizabeth will get you PLENTY of 'cuddling' at a hotel of your choice. At least an hour more than you'd get at the more expensive places. Hey, I think even AZUL would go on a salida with you if all you wanted was cuddling!!! I bet she'd be good at THAT!!!

And MI AMIGO Regio, re: massage places, I agree that for the standard price you get a rather impersonal experience and it's for at most a half hour. But can you imagine what even a 200 peso tip would mean to chicas in those places? Or maybe offering them 500 pesos to meet you at a hotel? I think cuddling could be arranged! No we just have to find you the right girl there. You didn'tlike Kathy? Maybe I can find Sol's 'sister' again for you! Just think, for the price of a jarra you could have a REALLY good time there!

I am going to Monterrey this week for a couple of days.

What is the current best bet for the late afternoon as well as a toda la noche in my hotel?

Late afternoon, depends on what you want. The nastiest 50 peso lapdances you can imagine from some pretty hot chicas can be had at Club Matehuala. Sex on a folding chair in the privado will cost ~200 pesos tip to the girl, plus the charges for the dances.

All of the massage places advertising in the Sol newspaper (many reviewed here) have afternoon shifts. Hit enough of them and you're bound to find something of interest. Cost starts at 150 pesos for 1/2 hour and goes up -- tips can get 'special' service from the massage chicas, but you'll get laid even without them.

Your best bet re: allnighters might be the upscale strip clubs (Poisson, Obsession, Premiere, etc.) where meeting up with customers after shift is the preferred method of prostitution. This will be expensive, however, both getting to know the chica beforehand and then metting her price for extended time at your hotel. It also may be difficult to accomplish if you only have a day or two.

Regio may be better able to help you re: advice for hooking up with chicas in your hotel. There's a network for passing phone numbers on his yahoo group (in Spanish), but I don't know much about it, or how willing guys are to help out a newbie with the good info.

If you can be a little more specific about what you're looking for (and looking to spend), it might help to point you in the right directions.

Last night about 1 AM this place had about a dozen chicas. 3-4 were very attractive. The rest were for the most part older but slim. But even the very attractive ones (including one that looked like Rubi at Obsession's twin, including the boob job) aren't that much of a cut above the massage parlor girls that you get for 1/10 of the cost.

Oh, and while spending 50 pesos for a Tecate is a little out of line, a friend paying 60 pesos for a 3 peso bottle of soda and a glass of ice was kind of obscene. As he said, it's like a cover charge. I won't be paying one here again any time soon. Skip it unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket and like getting overcharged. It's twice as expensive as Chicago Club in TJ, and the quality is lacking.

Nice decor, though. And we might have stayed longer if they had the A/C cranked up!

I would never contradict my friend Porker, but just to point out,the Divain as its sister place, Casa Blanca, are on the same level as Obsession and Prestige (where you can have hurried sex for 2000 pesos for 30 minutes), but prices are 50% lower at Divain than said places, and contrary to Premiere and Amnesia that are at the top of the scale with no sex on the side.
This is a whorehouse after all... you have sex here with more style than at the MPs.

I liked the set-up of this place. I have never been to a brothel ever before in my life...so it was really neat to finally enter one and see it in operation. The chicas for the most part while attractive were not as attractive as Obsession girls IMHO. I'd say the chicas here fell in the 6-8's range. They were all nice and personable. There is no pressure here. At worst they come over and just introduce themselves to you. It's up to you if you want to talk and/or drink with them. There's a jukebox if you want to listen to something in particular. As you enter there are a few rooms that line the hallway and some couches outside with some sleeping chicas. In the main room are more couches, the jukebox and the bar. In one corner is a door to more rooms. On the plus side, if you end up going back with a girl all your drinks are comp'ed I believe. On the negative side, it's gonna cost you like 140US if I recall correctly which is more than a massage parlor...but from all of our massage parlor research (we went to like 10-20), I would say the calibre of woman in them is far below that of Divain or a lot of the strip clubs so it depends what you are after.

Now if only that AC would have worked better we would have stayed longer and they may have even gotten another 60 pesos out of me for another soda - lol!
