These are strip clubs too, but their reviews are listed under Centro Bars. VERY high-mileage places, and CHEAP. Not upscale, any of them, but can find some very nice looking girls much of the time.

Matehuela is a gold mine and has some of the most beautiful young chicas I have ever seen under one roof.

I usually have always been a upperscale dude, but this is one place that you have not given its due (mainly cuz you want to keep the gringos out of it and the chicas to yourself, I will bet).

The chicas are slender with only a few exceptions. They all rotate through dancing on the stages, for no tips, only gropes, and they don't make money by having drinks bought for them. They are there to go downstairs to the basement with you.

I met two hotties very well and it was like the first time I went to Adelitas in TJ. I could not get enough. Personalities, looks, and a level of nastiness unknown in this part of the world.

HOMBRE: I know I will have to send you a direct request but I want to go on record here and say that the bar Matehuela deserves it's own section because it is not a strip bar, which has connotations entirely different.

How about the section called Privado-Gogo's.

Where Obsession is a upperscale strip club, Matehuela is a down-to-earth, chica-next-door, hardbody gold mine.

It ain't Adelitas when it comes to the room for having sex, but it is one hell of a place to have fun with naked horny gorgeous chicas.

LOL! Well first things first, am glad you enjoyed Monterrey. I doubt anyone with a pulse could have a BAD time there, but it sounds like you had a really good time. You also had the good sense to try and hook up with Regio, the absolutely nicest guy that ever lived, and a true expert on what goes on in the adult entertainment scene in Monterrey.

BUT, I have no idea where you ever got the idea that I have been skimping on the information that Matehuala is anything but the BOMB! I am that places' biggest pimp, and I can't talk for 30 seconds about Monterrey without mentioning it. I go there at least twice weekly and pimp it to everybody I know, whether it be in English here or on the Spanish yahoo group. While this thread could maybe be a little better organized (see the aviso at the top of this particular entry. I Kind of set things up on the Monterrey section here before I really knew my ass from my elbow), there are PLENTY of recommendations for the Matehuala, and to a lesser extent its' sister bar two blocks away the Infinito. And I NEVER said Matehuala or Infinito were Feo. The bathroom at La Cava IS, feo, and none of these bars are as nice inside as Obsession, Premiere or Poisson, but I never called them or the girls 'feo'.

Well, the girls at Obsession and the like need to do something to justify their high prices, right? Well, I HEAR they charge high prices... I have never spent a cent on a girl there. I save my money for the MATEHUALA!

I spent a lot of money there on two girls at one time in the VIP room downstairs a few weeks ago.

I could not resist Jessica and Kenya as they both insisted that we would be able to fuck and suck to our hearts content.

It was way too expensive but I had just gotten back my tax return and felt I deserved a present for being so good all year long.

Now I wish I had saved my money for el Matehualo and the cuties within its walls.

Alright, I live in Monterrey and have just started hitting the strip clubs. Obsession is just way too expensive and some of the other high priced ones kind of sucked when you realize just how much money you spent.

But then a good buddy of mine (who gets VIP status at most clubs) took me to Infinito. This place rocked, tons of girls (who could not keep their hands off us), 15 peso beers and 50 peso semi private lap dances. I have been three times, basically the weekends suck (way too crowded) but the week nights are great. Anyway this is my suggestion if anyone is coming to Mty. Some of my friends keep telling me about eh message parlors hidden away in barrio antigua but I have yet to hit them.

Also, where is Matehualo (anyone know cross streets?)

One more thing, don't drive to the centro late at night. The police there will pull you over (gauranteed) and claim you are drunk and that they will have to call teh medicos to breathalize you. Which of course will take about an hour and a half. Then instead of just paying the 200 pesos to the cop (they usually start out demanding about 2000 pesos) you have to pay another 200 pesos to the medicos too. (My friend got a breathalizer when he was completely sober, not even one drink and it came back .081 - and .08 is the legal limit in MTY. Hence don't think that just because you are sober you will not have to pay.) Nuevo Leon license plates too.

The Matehula bar is more or less 3 blocks to the north of the Infinito. At Bernarndo Reyes, a few feet before intersecting Madero Ave.
You'll find the same kind of activity you liked at the Infinito cause they are from the same owner.

p_lynch, interesting to hear from a local in Monterrey. The Infinito is GREAT, and as Regio says, Matehuala is the same deal all the way around, just different girls. Between the two places can find between 75-100 girls depending on the day and the time.

The best way to get to the Matehuala from the Infinito is to walk the 2 1/2 blocks back up Villagran to Madero, make a left, and then cross the street a block later on B. Reyes. As Regio says, it's aonly a few feet past the corner of B. Reyes and Madero.

Obsession will always be expensive as far as paying for the girls in the bar, and not sure if you ever get free time in the daytime during the week, but it can be a good deal for drinking and eating at the lunch buffet if you can get there before 4:30 or so. And investing in a couple ladies drinks/laps might get you a phone number that will make things a bit more affordable and higher quality by hooking up offsite.

There is a lot of info here about the lower end massage places in Centro. The tough thing is finding truly attractive chicas there, but if you hit enough of them (and there are DOZENS), you should find SOMETHING you like.

I'll probably be at Obsession for lunch this Wednesday as a sort of farewell to MTY before Xmas vacation starts. Not sure if Regio knows it yet or not, but he'll be there too!

My friend, just great. 26 guys from the group plus an American from Atlanta, Georgia that came down just to meet Peshiosa and Debra.

The good news is that Monterrey is much, much better than TJ. The bad news is that it is equally hard to get a chica to spend the night, since they are generally locals, generally married, and if they are strippers, they are excellent at stringing you along until your funds are gone, and they have to go home.

On the other hand, you can go to a Massage Parlor and get FS for $10.

When you get here, I don't think you'll be able to find Porker with change in his pocket. He went to the Phillipines for Easter vacations and he really goes wild over there. I think he returns on the 16th.
And yes, Monterrey in some ways is better than TJ, and yes, Explorer is right: you can get girls for all nighters, but here it really is expensive to get one that can acomodate you.
Cheapest you can find is the Matehuala and Infinito where they'll charge you 3000 pesos plus 350 bar fine for 6 hours.

Regio's guess on all-nighters from the Matehuala and Infinito seems quite high to me, but I would also like to chime in that you shouldn't be shooting for all-nighters in MTY without planning to spend some serious cash. The GOOD news is that 'short times' out of places like the Mate and Infinito last a good 2 hours from door to door, so you do get value for the ~135 bucks it will take to do that.

As Regio mentions, I will arrive home seVERELY broke in 2 weeks. It'll be awhile before I'm ever again going to be able to do MTY properly. I gotta get a 2nd job!

Oh, but Countryjohn, definitely have fun! The Matehuala and the Infinito and the super cheap massage places are unlike anything you will have experienced in TJ.

Monterrey is the center of the Western Hemisphere in regards to cheap lap dances and massage parlors, everything else can be more expensive than TJ. Every mongering site has its specialty; if you want cheap TLN, go to Thailand.
