Jesse is apparently MIA. I heard everything from "he's in jail" to "he's on vacation" (his brother told me the latter). His brother Gilberto said he's no longer welcome in Obsessions, so that puts him out of business just about everywhere in town. So, who knows. Hopefully he'll be back.

I just found this out right now so maybe some may have already heard......Sorry to report that Jesse is dead!..So I guess we will have to look for another reliable pimp. Like I said I just now found out while talking to my girlfriend on the phone. I wouldn't post this unless I thought it to be very reliable. The fact is that my girlfriend is very close freinds with Jesse's wife (America:Lipsticks) so I believe this to be true. I got a pretty vague story about the details.....had something to do with a fire in his house but i am pretty sure that there was foul play involved. I will revisit this thread if I come across anymore details. I know he was a reliable contact and good friend to allot of us. Sorry to have to report such rotten news.

I read a similar report on "wsg" in which the guy said that Jessy or Yessy was dead. I dont know if its true, but didnt see him this past weekend. The other report stated that he was survived by a wife and 2 small kids.

On a possibly related note, we were goin into Obsessions last Sat. and the doorman would not allow one of the street pimps in(dont remember his name however he use to work out of Placers as well). MrB?

Justdan, I could imagine that once the clubs find out someone is pimping they would be persona non grata. They'd be cutting into the club's business. They love the street pimps as long as they're bringing them business, but when they start taking it away...

Yeah, I heard this too from another source, a girl from Cherries that I see in tucson from time to time. She said that Jessie died last week, no details, but that several of the girls went to a Mass said for him this week.

This sounds a lot like the jessie we all knew.

I only met him once, but from what i can gather, he had a habit of making friends fast, and enemies, faster. Jessie, according to a this chica, made some pretty bad people, angry at him. She doesn't think it had to do with girls, but she wasn;t sure.
My source didn't know what was the cause of his demise , but she, like many others, think it was no accident.

JD, we went to Obsessions with Alex. He's either unrelated to Jesse or a cousin, I'm never sure. Gilberto is Jesse's brother.

I asked Gilberto about Jesse and he said he was "on vacation". Alex and Gilberto BS me all the time, the only pimp who didn't was Jesse.

Jesse does (or did) pimp out of the clubs, but I believe the main reason he was kicked out of the clubs was for selling drugs (inside them). Fighting probably didn't help things, either. But selling drugs in the clubs means big trouble for the clubs, that's why, as far as I can tell, he was kicked out for so long.

If people actually went to a mass for him, then it must be true. Shit, I hope not...

Yes it is true and the report on the streets is an overdose - this is from girls that new him well. I never met him but was trying to met a legend sorry to have missed him - hope he can rest in peace now !

Alondra just called and told me Jesse muy malo. Then the phone ran out of credit. She wouldn't of called unless it was very bad.

Shit... I can't believe this, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised - he did have some enemies. Does anyone know when this happened? Or where it happened? (Nogales? Some other city?) Jesse's brother Gilberto told me he was "out of town" last Saturday. I don't know why he'd lie about something like that, unless it happened after that or he didn't know yet.

I considered Jesse a friend. He's the only "guide" I've ever met down there that didn't lie to me, rip me off, steal from me, etc. I'm sure he wasn't a saint, but he always did right by me, and never took advantage of me. Jesse was always on my side, not trying to play me for anything.

Nogales just won't be the same without him. One of the things I had counted on when going to Nogales was just hanging out with him and having fun, whether I needed his services or not.

Tomarow is the wake for "Yessy" or as we would say Jessy. Actualy his name was Jose. Jessy was 26 years old, Probably the most famous "Street Hawker" if you will, in Nogales.

I have known Yessy for 8 years, he was a good guy deep down inside. He is survived by his wife and two small children. Yessy never stole or took advantage of any American that wandered the streets looking for girls. For those that new Yessy, I dont really know how he died and we wont know for a while.

Nogales Mexico will not be the same without Yessy! God bless you my dear friend.

wow, this comes a sort of a shock...i just saw this guy about two weeks ago.. I let him "borrow" $10 for some drinks... He always had a smile on his face, working angles, bringing in new girls, etc.. I guess this serves as a wake up call that the pimp street life isnt as glamourous as one thinks..god bless jesses family... wow his wife is america??

I am pretty sure that the events were as followed: Jesse returns to his house and is exhausted because he has been high on dope for 2 days straight. He passes out on his bed and falls asleep quickly. Supposedly....There is a gas leak in his house and it is leaking natural gas into the place as he sleeps. There is also a space-heater plugged in....the kind that are set on thermostats. Eventually as the gas has filled the room enough to ignite the heater kicks on and poof! Jesse is burned alive. The only thing I have yet to find out is if there was any foul play involved. I have also heard, from Jesse himself that he had made a few powerful enemies. Though he never discussed the details, I tend to think this may have been a plot. However, I think it is reasonably safe to say we will never know for sure. There will be alot of gossip on the subject but with the quality of law enforcment in Mexico, Coupled with Jesse's known status among them, I would be surprised if there was ever a thorough investigation. Jesse, unfortunately, is just a casualty of the Nogales lifestyle to them.....Never-the-less I will inquire from America on my visit this weekend!

Here is a wierd theory that I have heard. There is a possibility of foul play. Jesse was last seen outside a club waiting for a certain notorious girl that had a bad reputation with guys. Supposedly killed a guy in another town. She was investigated but never charged. This girl has not been seen since Jesse's last public appearance. When Jesse was found, his cellphone was missing and the place was a bit of a mess. He was very protective of his cd's and they were on the floor. His stereo was also moved from the normal position. Possibly there was a robbery.

I have no idea if there is any truth to this but I thought I would pass it along. Most likely he died from some type of a heater malfunction unless there was some type of coverup.
