I am visiting relatives in New Mexico, I thought I'd take a little excursion to Juarez, but was told it is dangerous right now because of the drug wars. Any of you veterans care to give me some guidance on the currant safety issue?

There were 1,300 murders there so far this year. They have 1,300,000 living there. When NY was bad we had 2,200 murders out of 8,000,000 peiople.

A few days ago a Police captain was killed.

Its one of the most dangerous places on earth now.

Going down to Juarez to have some denial work done at rio dential. This is my first trip down. I will be staying at a quality resort type hotel, "Hotel Lucerna" in Juarez from 1/28/09 to 2/3/09. (got a great deal)
I know that it is very dangerous right now so do not plan to venture from the hotel much.

I wanted to know if anyone knows a local who can set me up with talent in my room. Massages and more etc. I am looking for quality with low mileage and eager to please who enjoy their work... I would think with so few gringo's going down right now that the deals and quality would be really good at this time.

Is Juarez too dangerous to visit. I am working in El Paso next week and was thinking about running over the border for some action. Is thee anything close to the border worth visiting?

The cops are the ones you should fear walking across the border into Juarez and to the clubs there. You almost surely won't DIE, and you will almost surely get laid CHEAPLY there.

So are the usual clubs listed still happening across the border? Or are SGs a better bet?

I haven't been there in years, but Panama is almost surely the bar to hit. Personally I'd recommend the massage places. Look in the local paper for advertisements. If you take a taxi there (they're not all that close to the border) the taxi driver will likely try and weasel a commission on you.

there are a couple of taxi services I used to use going to Juarez. Justin picks up truckers at the Flying J truck stop exit 37
I10 and takes everyone over and back...only 20.00 cab service. I usually go to the Pink Lady but there a few places you can get laid..its kind of slow now,,,but there are mongers going over now
