Club located in downtown MTY. Went during business trip. Offers a fair mid-day buffet included in the 60peso cover charge. I was there in the afternoon, about 3 o´clock. 5-7 chicas, very few guys (Wednesday) Chicas were very aggressive. Went with Layla(?) for a couple of dances. Excellent with witty conversation the whole time. I would have liked to explore other options with her but had to catch an evening flight. I will be back in January though and will be back. Dances were 150pesos.

Cheloco: be forwarned that the girls at the Amnesia are geared to squeeze you out of money via double drinks that cost 150 pesos and to force you to pay dances.
If you hesitate for a second in paying another round of drinks and or a dance, she'll leave you with the classic excuse that she needs to go the the ladies room.
The girls at the lap dancing joints here en Monterrey have been presured to get more money from the clients due to the Christmas season, so maybe after the holidays you might find them more accesible, with more options of "extras".
Remember when you get down here that the Amnesia, Mitote, Premiere and Colorados are of the same owner, so they operate in the same way.

I visited the Amnesia club for the second time last week with my friend. Amnesia is a very upscale club, and they have a tasty buffet in the afternoon. They do not play the music too loud in this club, and it is a good place to go with a friend for an afternoon of fun. The buffet is excellent and it is a very, very, comfortable environment. They have nice big comfortable chairs and couches, and it is not so noisy that if you go with friends, or if you want to talk to the girls, your conversation is dampened by the noise levels, which I find very annoying in most of the clubs in Monterrey.

This noise level thing is an issue for me because it is difficult to get to know the girls better due to the music being played so loudly that you can't hear yourself think.

Do you other guys in Monterrey feel the same way? Maybe we can somehow convey this to the club owners to "turn it down" so we can get to know these girls better. It is very difficult to talk to the girls with the music being played so loudly. In many of the clubs in Monterrey the noise levels are like sitting next to an F18 Hornet. Anyway, enough bitching...sorry.

Back to Amnesia. The women are almost all perfect in just about every way. I didn't see any women who were not less than centerfold material. But, this was only my second visit. I am wondering now what the lineup looks like during the evening hours. The first time I visited Amnesia, two months ago, I saw a gorgeous creature named Vanessa. Vanessa is medium height, dark (almost black) hair, and she looks even better than most of the girls there, who are all centerfold types.

The last time I was in Amnesia I was only able to put my arms around her for about two seconds before leaving for day. She was very alluring and I couldn't stop thinking about her. So, when I returned this month to Monterrey, I wanted to get to know her a little better.

The result of this months visit was kind of disappointing. After building her up in my mind for about a month, I found her have the coldness of a consumate professional, and it became too obvious that her primary purpose was to seperate me from my money. Now, I'm not under any schoolboy illusions. Of course, I realize that it is her job to seperate me from my money, but...I kind of want the girl to at least act like it is more than just the money. She was trying every way possible to light a fire, but she just didn't get to me. I got no good vibes off of her. Too bad there was no chemistry there because she is really gorgeous.

I found something kind of interesting, and I mentioned it to my friend. Behind where we were sitting is a big mirrored wall. I think it runs the entire length of the club. Anyway, she was sitting on my lap facing me, and all she could do was continually look in the mirror behind me at herself. She is so strikingly beautiful that I think she can not take her eyes off herself. It was very distracting to me.

It was so distracting, I wasn't sure whether she liked me, and her continually looking in the mirror at herself was a turnoff. I like the girl to pay more attention to me, and for that reason I wasn't sure if she liked me. However, my friend, a seasoned veteran of the scene in Monterrey, told me he thought she liked me very much. Oh well, too bad, "no vibes."

My friend and I stayed at Amnesia for maybe 45 minutes total, and the cost for our buffet & drink, along with a drink for the girls, totaled $38.00 each (I think). An afternoon at Amnesia can be very, very, expensive.

According to my friend, the policy on privados has changed from (5) privados to (3) privados for the same amount of money. I don't remember what the privados cost. Perhaps my friend will enlighten everyone, or perhaps it is already written here on the board somewhere. It is probably more expensive than some of the other clubs offer their privados for too, but I don't remember the exact price.

I was interersted in possibly having a privado with Vanessa when I first came in, but after determining that there was no chemistry between us, I decided not to. The problem is, it just costs too much, and the prospect of a privado with Vanessa just seemed like I would be throwing good money after bad. Besides, I figured I had already spent too much money on the buffet and drinks.

As my friend has told me, we can get a lot more for the money at some of the other clubs in town. But, Amnesia offers the "cream of the crop." The women are all perfect. Don't get me wrong, Amnesia offers a very enjoyable afternoon, and I will be visiting again, but you must be prepared to spend a little more than you would spend at some of the other clubs in town.

Personal dances at the Amnesia go for 150 pesos for one dance.
To get into a private booth, you must pay a minimum of 3 privados (450 pesos) in the afternoon.
At night the minimum goes up to 10 dances just to step into a "private" booth.
