Nikes are becoming very expensive in the U.S. because that is the hot brand among rappers. I would guess they are dirt cheap in Mexico. It might be worth buying a bunch and bringing them back for sale in the U.S. Where do they sell name brand shoes down there??

they are very hard to find and very expensive. You will find imitations, yet anyone who actually knows a quality pair of shoes will know they are fake. I have been asked more than a few times to take someones money across the border during a saturday afternoon and buy them a pair of shoes.

The best price you will find for REAL Nikes is at the Nike outlet stores - on the US side of the border.
Real Nikes sell for $20-80 MORE per pair in Mexico. Fake ones - often VERY poorly made, BTW - are readily available in Mexico, but often not all that much cheaper than real ones sell for in the USA.
Decent fake Nikes are available at swap meets and such in the USA, and those are often desired in Mexico. If any smuggling was going to make money, it would probably be taking good quality USA fakes INTO Mexico.
Just as with MANY things, often stuff of the same quality costs as much OR MORE in Mexico than in the USA.

I was in Thailand and the Nikes there costs the same as US. Which means up to half a month's salary for the most expensive shoes!!

Roberto anything made outside of Mexico will be a lot more money in Mexico than in the USA.
I have a pair of Limited edition Fila Ferraris that cost me around 130 in the USA. In TJ I only saw 1 pair at a Swap Meat for 180 dollars.
The other pair of kicks that i have are last years Nike air TN's and they cost me 80 fucks and were sold for 120 in TJ when they had them.
You are better off going to Japan were the classic Nikeys will run you hundreds of dollars

You can buy fairly inexpensive Nikes and especially Adidas and Pumas in Brazil, assuming the shoes are made there. Look on the tags of your favorite Nikes and see where they are made. If it doesn't say "Made in Mexico" there's no reason why it would be any cheaper there. The exchange rate doesn't lower the price of goods if they need to be imported. And Nike's have been popular for the last 20 years, lol, I don't think "rappers" have driven the price up...

Bullshit, basic Nike Air Force ones are going for $140 dollars. These are the same shoes popularized 20 years ago.

Why don't you guys shop at Payless Shoes like MrBill? I spend $15 on my shoes and the ladies still love me. All true except that last part.

It's like with any goods it's driving by the prices and the demand for them, same as with the WHORES.

I am specifically responding to Rexxx. The best place to go in the U.S. is Ross stores. They have every major U.S. brand for about $20. The problem is that they don't always have your size.

the Anthem outlets have a Nike store. I bought $120 shoes for about $50. Its a little bit of a drive if you live in the east valley, but it aint that bad. About 15 minutes north of Metrocenter.
