Has anybody considered renting and apartment? This would be great. Get a couple of guys to split an apartment and it would easily pay for itself. It would be nice to have a place to go and be able to sleep in past noon. A Clubhombre bachelor pad.

Sure but instead of a house I was thinking ofthe second floor of a building overlooking Obregon ave. Something in the area of Coco Loco, has a good view of all the girls going by. Put in 3 or 4 bedrooms, big play area, TV and internet, a couple of live-in housekeepers on a rotating basis. A jecuzzi on the balcony would be nice too.

LOL, you guys... Hey, rent might not be so cheap in the "good" part of town. Why don't you ask Dragoncelt what he's paying. BTW, if you got a 3rd bedroom, I might be interested...

I seriously doubt it. Two real options here..If you want a decent place that is fairly clean in a hospitable part of town you are gonna pay Alot omore than 300/month. Anything nice that is within 1 mile of the border you are looking at around 500/month. Unless you are well connected. The only way you go cheaper without sacrificing cleaniliness or neighborhood is to head out away from the border. The novia has a real nice apartment out past La salida taco stand that is 350/month. It is very clean and actually upper class but Very far from the border. I spent a couple of weeks researching this very topic last summer. Alot of people envision the magical Mexican discount. However, picture in your head what kind of place you will get in Tucson for 350/month and then be prepared to be disappointed when you look at some of what nogales has to offer for the same price.
