CANBERRA (Reuters) - An Australian brothel is offering retirees a five percent discount in what it boasts is a world first.
Neil Campbell, owner of the Viper Room in the east coast city of Brisbane, said men in their 60s, 70s, and 80s were among regular visitors to the brothel, but many complained it was a drain on their pensions.
"All other businesses offer pensioners a discount, so we thought if we also offered pensioners a discount they might come more often," Campbell told Reuters Monday.
He said the offer of a five percent discount on the usual hourly fee of A$210 ($140) would initially apply only on Sundays, but the offer would be extended if it proved successful.
Prostitution is legal in some parts of Australia but brothels need to meet certain standards to earn a license. An Australia bordello, the Daily Planet, became the world's first publicly owned brothel recently when it listed on the Australian stock exchange.

I was visiting brisbane for a week and did some whore mongering. I would not recomend this place for anyone seeking some fun. I hit several regular clubs and it was not a happening city.
I hit several strip clubs and they were real rip offs. I hit a club called the universal, cover cost AU$20. Recieved a very cold reception from the girl, and a lot of bad vibes. I would not recomend the universal club. The standard cost for private dances are 15 min AUD$50 and the room charge AUD$25. You get to touch the girls breast and nothing more. All these places have a person who monitor your dances in a fairly well lit up room. I found the USA to be alot better place for whore mongering and friendlier women.
I also visited scores, and cabaret in the valley. Both these places had a bad selection of girl with overpriced charges for table dances and poor selection of clubs.
I recomend one club for hot looking girls who dance totally nude. This place is called Bad girls and they have several locations. I visited the location on caxton st and it had a very nice selection of women. I recomend only visiting on thurs,friday and saturday evenings. I visited on a weekday, and had a empty stage show. Australian women are hot but stuck up and not worth the price or chase.
