Cairo has a variety of options, none particularily good unless you have a large bankroll.

Most Gulf Arabs that don't spend their summer in Europe or US will rent a villa / apartment in Egypt or somewhere else for the summer and then hire a local girlfriend (maids) for the summer. Likewise you can often see them at the Casinos with relatively speaking Expensive East European Prostitutes. This covers the market for most of the year for local women that aren't particularily greedy, or willing to run the risk of being arrested with an obvious foreigner, which is the same as irrefutable proof of prostitution (short of a valid marriage contract) in the eyes of the police there.

SubSaharan African refugee Women (prostitutes) can be had at one club or another, wherever police scrutiny is lowest if you like black women. For directions just ask a cab driver, but realize these women are likely there illegally, so may be reluctant to return to your 4 or 5 star hotel (ie through security). However they will have suggestions where to go.

A few local women and quite a few more East Europeans can be had upon occassion at the discos and night clubs, especially in the hotels and casinos, but are difficult to find at the low end unless you live there for some time. Taxi drivers will have good info, but most locals are only available to foreigners through the major hotels where divorcees... ply their trade discretely. Most middle and lower class men here are pretty repressed, as a result of the very few "female" outlets prior to marriage. It is not uncommon to meet male virgins in their early thirties who can not afford to marry (a hefty mandatory price tag that can run in the thousands of dollars US).

Best advice take a short cheap flight to Athens, Romania, Bulgaria, Israel or Turkey for the weekend if you are stationed there where women are readily found and available cheap.

And to think prior to the 1960's Cairo was the established sexual playground of wintering Europeans.

I was in Cairo, Egypt and heard from a British friend that there were 2 establishments where friendly ladies could be found. One was called Africaner. I went there about 10PM one week night and hung around for a couple of hours. It is a bar like place and all I saw at that time were a men drinking and 4 or 5 ladies walking around the rear of the room but none seemed friendly to anyone so I left. I was told later that nothing happened until after midnight.

Another night I went to tho other place called Debafalos after midnight. All I can remember about the location is that it is on the west side on the Nile River and I went through 3 taxi drivers to finally get there. It is also a small bar but was full of European and American men and African women. African women are not my favorite but since it was the only choice in a country with very little options I selected a cute petite lady with light brown color, about a 7, and asked her what we should do. Since my hotel waas very far away and bringing in any lady to the room would not have been allowed, we agreed to go to a place she used. Outside the establishment was a long line of taxi's waiting. We went a few blocks to the place and had some "discussion" with the driver but she handled it. I think he wanted more money which is quite common in Cairo. Inside, the flat was kind of on the dingy side but I was committed by now. The lady, whose name I could not pronounce let alone spell, was very friendly and accomodating. BBBJ and covered full service was just for the asking and with enthusiam. Price was $100 which I understand is the standard going rate.

The place does not compare with the quality of Europe, America or Asia but was ok if you are stuck in Cairo.

My friend was going on about, that with your woman you can hire a horse and go into the desert and ride naked, when your finished you just put your cloths back on and come back to cairo, i took this with a pinch of salt.

I think most of the info mentioned in redbus comments are not true, first the girls never cost that high 200USD,mostly 100 egyptian pound, and you can not ride a horse naked in cairo, even if you go to the desert, it will require you go to far, which is not safe, you may get lost in the desert.

I agree with you sacambo, i got the information second hand from a guy who likes to joke around. and i should imagine you could not ride a horse naked through the desert there.

glad i went to see the pyramids in giza, across the nile, on my 1st day in cairo. next day the uprising erupted in tahrir square near my hotel. internet, mobile phone service, some subway lines were shut down. next morning left cairo at dawn pre-curfew hr. had planned to travel overland to israel, jordan, lebanon, syria, turkey, balkans but too risky due to arab spring revolution. also was told that if my passport contained israel entry/exit stamps iīd be refused entry to syria & lebanon (& gulf countries).
