Pros:
* Downtown location near famous Crescent St.
* Low cost for downtown location
* Discounted parking in nearby lot
Cons:
* Elevator closed to visitors at 9pm. (that means you have to meet your date in the lobby)
* Low cost rooms are nice but can be small
Overall this is a nice place to stay. It is a large US chain which gives me more peace of mind when booking with a credit card online. The major problem is the elevator access late at night. After 9pm, the elevator requires you to insert your room pass card to use it. You really don't want to go down to the lobby to pickup your date.

Like the Quality Inn on Crescent, I had "experience" at this hotel and can confirm that it's a nice place. If you schedule an incall, you'll likely end up in this area which appears clean and safe. Current rates appear to start at $104CAN if booked directly. You can get a lower rate at an equivalent hotel via Hotwire or Priceline if you're OK with not knowing exactly which hotel you'll end up at.
According to postings I read on MERB, the issue with the elevator key tends to be annoying and people often prefer to stay at places that don't require it.
