On Friday I checked to see if they had a room available at The Magic Bean, a popular restaurant and small hostel, but all the rooms were taken by a group of students that booked the whole place for a month. I ordered a Jalepeno, Mushroom, and Mozzarella Omelet with fresh juice there. I then returned to Alston to pay another $17 for another night.

I spent the rest of the afternoon making tour arrangements for Saturday and Sunday. I walked to a few places which were limited in the information they could provide because of a power outage that lasted much of the day but I finally was able to book a tour to the Otavalo market on Saturday and to Cotopaxi on Sunday at the agency on the corner of Calama and Juan Luis Mera. The female agent there was very helpful and got me into group tours of 8 and 20 respectively, the other three agencies I visited prior were only able to get me on solo tours or with one other person.

I got a late start on hobbying today because of the tour stuff, but I eventually got to Swincito, the daytime club/brothel next to El Swing, at 6pm. The power was still out and I could barely see the women by candlelight in the crowded place. There were about 15 women with the ratio of men to women at least three to one. I found what I thought were at least several women that were attractive enough, but not enough to get me to commit, particularly knowing I'd have to stumble around a dark room if I did. At least it only cost me $2 with a drink included to get in.

I walked over to Club 122 again knowing I'd be able to see better and hoping the talent might be a little better. The lineup was practically the same, of course, but I did find myself more tempted to session with one of the women I saw previously. She was older and a little out-of-shape, but she was cute with a very pretty smile and what appeared to be an attitude better than most of the others. I wandered in the dimly lit club for awhile before deciding to check out a place I didn't check out well enough before...La Sala VIP. On the way I noticed that the brothel at building 200 appeared to be closed. It supposedly was doing well recently...I don't know if it was just closed temporarily because of the power problems or what.

I wouldn't recommend the three block walk from Club 122 to La Sala VIP, especially at night during a power outage. It doesn't appear to be a safe area. On the walk there I actually saw two drunk locals brazenly taking a piss in the middle of the street. When I got there, I didn't like how it looked with the lack of power so I turned around and headed back to 122.

After waiting for a short time at 122 the lights came on and many people cheered. After a little bit of flirting and a short chit-chat with the women I was eyeing I decided to take Nicole from Guayaquil to the room for a triple session at $30 for 30 minutes plus. Nicole still looked pretty in the brighter room late but I was less impressed when her clothes came off. I didn't really want to have intercourse with her so I just had her give me a blowjob. This place looked absolutely miserable with about 6 miserable looking women and a few miserable looking local men. One of the women MIGHT have been acceptable for cheap if I was drunk...but I wasn't. I finished my beer and was out of there within 15 minutes.

I walked back to Swincito to check how it looked with lights...much better for the club, about the same for the women. Actually the dancer that I thought was the best looking of the bunch appeared to be missing so the talent was down a bit. There were a couple that were acceptable, but I decided I had my acceptable fill for the day.

Around 9:50pm I got back near my hotel and walked into a nearby chinese restaurant named El Jardin. I just got there in time because they closed at 10pm. I ordered some Beef in Oyster sauce but couldn't get my spring rolls because they already shut down the fryer. The food was tasty for the price.

I didn't really need to return to the hotel so I decided to check out a couple nearby places that were supposed to be best on weekend nights. Both Cocktel and Office were closed around 10:30pm on Friday night. Again I'm not sure if the closings were permanent or temporary because of the recent power problems.

I walked to the Metro and rode to the Floron stop to check out the Fragata Disco. That place was also closed. It took me a little time but I finally realized most of the power appeared to be off AGAIN.

The Metro then took me to the Carolina stop where I crossed the street to check out 3 star. I paid the $2 cover and accepted a beer. The ratio was relatively close with about 20 women available. The power was out but they had the place pretty well lit up with candles. Fortunatey the power came back on before too long. I spotted a couple of women I wanted to take from here, but one looked like she was going to be busy the whole night and the other got snagged for overtime then disappeared upstairs when she was done. There was a third that was also kind of attractive if you like black women.

From 3 Star I walked the not-recommended few dark blocks to 515 for my third night of splurging. I arrived at approximately 11:30pm and paid $20 to get in with two drinks. Upon entering I immediately traded stares with an attractive blond named Lorena from Medellin. We ended up talking for a long time, first at the bar then at a table. She was less touchy-feely than I normally like, but otherwise we got along really well. There weren't too many women working, maybe around 15, but there were a few I liked. One brunette was attractive enough to tempt me to leave Lorena, but she didn't seem as friendly. I ended up taking Lorena upstairs after our long conversation. My bill for 515 was $178 total.

Lorena was fun, but far less than I had expected given her attitude downstairs. It was too bad because she seemed like someone I would consider keeping in touch with. After the session I called it a night and took a $5 cab back to the hotel since I had an early morning ahead of me.
