Last Wednesday and Thursday I was on business in Monterrey. I was traveling with my boss who is a strip club addict, but who in the past has also enjoyed adventures in Adelitas and Hong Kong in TJ, and the whore bars in Germany. So I had a fairly good idea that he was going to want to go out at night.

Even though I lived 11 plus years in various parts of Mexico, I had never been to Monterrey. Unsure of where to take my boss to get his fix, I contacted Club Hombres’ Monterrey expert, Regio. Just let me say that Regio must have a doctorate in the Monterrey pay for play scene. He is a veritable fountain of info. He also happens to be a gentleman and a great guy to boot. He is the man!!!

The following is a short and incomplete report on just three of Monterrey’s many pay for play venues. I have been out of the game for quite a few years since marrying a chilangita and settling down and I no longer fully participate in the hobby, so my report is not long on details, nor does it have any chica ratings. This is just some general info gleaned from my visit and my impressions of the Monterrey scene.

Wednesday Night

Regio warned me to stay away from any and all strip clubs in the Zona Rosa hotel area. But one club, Reno, was just too convenient for my boss to resist. It was directly across the street from the hotel we were staying at. A strip club in such close proximity to my boss’s hotel is analogous to dangling a bag of crack in front of a junkie. I was doing a pretty good job of keeping him out of trouble until a couple of hookers made passes at us in the Lobby bar of the Raddison ( for those guys who like hotel hookers, there seemed to be quite a bit of action at the Radisson and at the Sheraton. Hang out in the lobby bars and you will most likely have an opportunity). That was just enough exposure to temptation to set him off. So he wanted to hit the strip club by the hotel. Even though I warned my boss that it would be a clip joint, he could not resist the temptation to enter. In addition to not speaking a lick of Spanish, he is the kind of guy who needs a wingman. Considering that he was footing the bill, I sacrificed myself and went with him. This is what I learned. STAY AWAY FROM Club Reno, unless you like to spend lots of money for virtually nothing in return: 100 peso cover charge. 230 Peso girl drinks, 230 Peso private dances……by now if you are thinking it sounds like a rip off, YOU ARE RIGHT. But my boss has more money than self control and gets completely retarded in the presence of strippers.

End result of the night. My boss dumped $380 dollars on a few table dances, some drinks, and the company of some very attractive women. He enjoyed himself immensely as always but for those of us on limited budgets I would say stay away. This is how bad the place is: One of the girls told us that there was a three private dance minimum to see the goods, because with one dance they don’t even take their top off!!!!!
230 Pesos for a privado and she won’t even take her top off??? WTF

I will say this. There were some real stunners in the place. One girl in particular had probably the best natural body I have seen anywhere any time. I was going to spend 230 pesos of my boss’s hard earned money just to get her over for a closer look, but she was extremely popular and I could never get her attention. Even though the girls were pushy, they were less pushy than most strippers from TJ, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Mazatlan, and other places I have been in Mexico. Regio had mentioned to me that Monterrey girls were generally nicer than girls in other areas of Mexico. I now fully agree. One of the girls in Reno offered to go out with me the following night to some regular night clubs in Barrio Antiguo, supposedly to show me the town. She seemed sincere, at least I got that vibe, but she was most likely setting up some scam. At any rate I declined her proposition.

THURSDAY NIGHT

I arranged to meet Regio so he could introduce us to some of the good places. As I said before, Regio is a stand up guy. And he knows what’s up. He knows the Monterrey scene and seems to be well known himself. Walking into the clubs with him was like walking into Staples Center with Kobe Bryant. We got rock star treatment from the doormen and wait staff.

Our first destination was Inifinto. Wow. Talk about a great place. This is my kind of bar. For me it was kind of a cross between Bar Tropical and Hong Kong in TJ. I can honestly say that it I have never been in a venue that I enjoyed more. It is a large multi stage place with a good selection of attractive girls: lots of tall thin regias, a good selection of spinners and even a couple of gorditas for our Club H veteran, Masterbates. The place sports a relaxed atmosphere with just a hint of craziness in the air. Girls were flashing their pussies from the stage. While dancing on stage, they let you grab a handful with no tip expected. I saw a dude get a stinky finger from a dancer on stage and another bury his face in a girls crotch while she was on the stage. Regio said that is normal and expected behavior, no tip required. Every time a girl got close to the edge of the stage, 10 guys were trying to grab her. Looked like an octopus. It was a kick to watch. And there are some very attractive girls in here.

Regio said Infinito is considered a working class bar. But I never picked up the tense vibes that I have picked up in other working class dives in Mexico. Everyone was just having a good time. Everyone pretty much ignored the two gringos. So I don’t think this is a kill whitey type of place. Having said that, I am pretty comfortable anywhere in Mexico, so maybe not every one would feel as comfortable as I did. Prices were awesome: $24 peso beers. $50 peso girls drinks. $50 Peso privados. Blow jobs offered for $120 pesos. Full service offered for $300 pesos. The catch to the low prices is it all happens in an open booth in full view of other patrons. Not really my thing. But not a bad deal at all.

Just as Regio had promised the girls are not at all mercenary. It’s a real kick back place. Regio disappeared with a novia. My boss disappeared with another of Regios novias. And I was left alone for a long time. Only one shark approached. After shoving a huge natural tit in my mouth, grabbing my dick, and asking if I was ready to go, she gracefully accepted my refusal with a kiss on the cheek. No hint of the resentment that you can get in other places. For the most part the girls would not approach unless you called them over. I like that. I am not into high pressure sales.

Regio set my boss up with a couple of bi-sexual girls. They are actually a couple. Evil Regio, he knew these two were going to rock my boss’s world. Afterwards, after his visit to the privados area, Boss man said he felt like he was in the middle of a porno flick: one girl chowing down on the others pussy while playing with his dick, and the whole time he was fingering one in the ass. Perverted bastard said he got two fingers in past the second joint. When they were finished, the other girl sucked his fingers clean. I felt bad for the next guy she kissed. My boss did not want to leave, he thought he had died and gone to pervert heaven. But Regio wanted to make sure we saw another side of Monterry nightlife. Besides he kept getting texts from a girlfriend at another club requesting his presence. So we were soon off to Club Casino.

Casino is a more traditional strip club. Nice place. Nice girls. No pressure. When we walked in, a very attractive girl literally jumped in Regios arms and mauled him to death with hugs and kisses. I assume it was the texting queen. Within 5 minutes of arrival my boss had a very attractive 23 year old swabbing his tonsils out. She had perfect ass and legs and nice pert natural tits, and a great attitude. She never asked for a drink or a dance. She just jumped on and started sucking face. I thought that maybe Regio had something to do with the enthusiastic reception. But then I noticed the same type of activity going on at other tables. I soon had a little spinner chatting me up, Regio had the texting queen wrapped around him, My boss was still being accosted. All was good. It was a great time. Kind of like a party. And it looked like the same party atmosphere at other tables. The girls never pressured for private dances or drinks. Of course we bought them plenty. But they did not suck the drinks down in a race to collect more fichas, they nursed them along. After about an hour of partying with the girls at the table, nobody had offered a Privado, so I had to ask for the details: 60 pesos for a privado, 300 pesos for a CBJ and 1300 pesos for a half hour of full service. I don’t know if that’s negotiable because I did not try, but I doubt it. Seemed like house prices to me.

I know, I know, that’s double what you pay in HK or Adelitas for full service and multiples of what you pay in Asia. But, considering the quality of the girls, the low pressure party atmosphere, and the fact it is a strip club, I thought it was not all that out of line. Much less than I have been quoted in other Mexico strip clubs. Anyway my boss and I both ended up back in the booths several times.

My boss said his girl threw in a hand job with happy finish as part of the first set of privados. He later went back for a BJ and said it was top notch. His girl was so damn cute though I don’t think he could have cared one way or another.

My victim was a little morenita spinner about 5 ft tall. Not the best body around, small tits and a little slab sided. But no extra flesh. Nice flat stomach, nice ass and legs. In the end, and after writing these words, I think I liked the girls attitude so much that if I go back I just might have to fit that 1300 into my budget. Base don her booth efforts I believe she would provide commendable service. She said she does accept off site dates with certain customers, depending on her work schedule. So I am assuming that many of the girls do. She also said she does trios with the girl my boss was with. We did not get into pricing. I will save that for my next trip.

I have no idea why Monterrey does not have a better reputation for pay to play. I only went to three places. The selection of girls was great in all three. The girls of Monterrey are hot, and mostly nice to boot. The clubs are pretty low pressure. Even the rip off Reno Club was low key compared to most strip clubs. Even though I did not investigate other venues I saw massage parlors, streetwalkers, a casa de Citas, hookers working the hotel bars, a taxi cab driver gave us info on escorts, and we passed plenty of strip clubs and bars. I think there is something in Monterrey for everyone at every price point. The city seemed safe even at 3:00 in the morning. I had the best time I have had in a long time. Once caveat. I think you should either speak Spanish or go with a Spanish speaker. I am looking forward to my next trip to Monterrey and hope Regio can show me what else this place has to offer. Is it a destination? No. Is it a great place for business trips? Absolutely. Much better than Mexico Ciy and the DF. I hope I get back soon.

You are right about that. I already mentioned the fact that prices are expensive compared to TJ. Nothing in Mexico compares to TJ in pricing or set up. Having said that, I only went to 3 venues. Two of which are traditional strip clubs, not whore bars with attached hotels. For that type of venue in Mexico, pricing was reasonable. I did not even attempt to negotiate prices, mostly because I started with zero intention of getting a blow job or getting laid since I have not paid for pussy in many years. I imagine that you can do better at other places in Monterrey. I am sure you can also get bareback if you know where to go or know the girl. My point is that, on the surface, Monterrey compares very well to Mexico City or Guadalajara ( Two cities where I have lived full time)and based on the quality and attitude of the girls has a much better P4P scene than either of those cities. I personally liked it because: 1.I like the thin girls and spinners that seem to be in abundance in Monterrey. 2. I like girls that are a little less hardcore than the typical Adelitas girl. These provincial girls just seemed more relaxed.

I imagine the main reason for Monterrey not being more popular is the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere. Very few gringos are there to drive demand. You have zero reason to go there outside of business. It is not close to the border and does not have good enough connectiions to be a destination site. But I found it way above average for the typical business traveler, and I enjoyed the experience enough that, even with the higher prices, I will probably pay for play there after a multi year hiatus out of the hobby.

If I had your good fortune and could do Rio, Cuba, Colombia, Costa Rica etc, I would probably have a different outlook and a different plan. But we have to work within our means.

Monterrey is a fantastic destination for a few days of fun with working girls, and one of the lasting slams about how lame Tijuana mongers are is that one can FLY from TJ to MTY any weekend they want for 50-150 USD round trip, yet NONE OF YOU SAD FUCKS EVER BOTHERS TO TRY IT.

Regio is inDEED THE MAN, and he's encyclopedic about his knowledge of the MTY P4P scene. Even if he hasn't done it all himself, he knows hundreds of guys that DO and willingly and selflessly passes on that knowledge. And, yeah, he and his guests get royal treatment in his favored venues. Regio is indeed a REGAL monger!

OK, now for the nitty gritty... Infinito will indeed blow the average TJ visitor away, but it is what it is -- onsite raunch. I'd quibble with the looks rating you gave the girls there, IMO, the FOB Tijuana girls are far hotter.

I have NEVER seen the attraction of places like Casino, seems like it's expensive for what you get -- drinks, dances, kisses, "handjobs" -- not my scene. If you want 20-45 minutes in a hotel with a shower with a short time girl, you're gonna overpay for it in MTY unless you like the massage parlor scene (I used to). But if you don't mind spending 100-150 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, you might be blown away by the GFE mileage available. Many strip club girls are hot and if you can get them to the hotel the club rules they set re: covered bj's, etc. tend to melt away.

LAS-MTY .... Vivaaerobus flies 4 times per week between Las Vegas and Monterey airports. Catch it right, and fares are low. For example, the website is showing a roundtrip to MTY on Thurs., June 17 and return to LAS on Sunday, June 20 for $172.62 including all taxes.

I was suprised to have enjoyed myself in Casino Club. Strip clubs are not my thing. If you are looking to get laid, THERE ARE ALWAYS LESS EXPENSIVE OPTIONS. If you just want to be around hot girls there are always regular bars with regular girls to look at. And I have always done ok with amateurs ( although I am getting to damn old now). But I had a fantastic time at Club Casino. I don't know how much of that had to do with Regio. For all I know, he might have pulled over the only friendly girls in the club. It was the lowest pressure strip club I have been in anywhere in Mexico. The girls were attractive and fun. I will definitley go back even with the higher drink prices and the covered Blow Jobs. Thats how much fun I had. And in the end, I am only out to enjoy myself. I am no longer trying to see how many times I can bust my nut or how much money I can save. You may be right about the girls in Tijuana being hotter. You after all are a Monterrey expert. My beer goggles were probably a little thick. But I saw lot's of hot ones. I like thin girls. Hey, thanks go out to Batster for the tip about Casino Club in Monterrey. I just got back from a trip to Monterrey after a two and a half year absence.

I flew into Laredo with plans of driving down 83 to McAllen, spending the night there, driving back to Laredo Monday, then bussing it down to Monterrey Monday night. Those plans went up in smoke upon arrival in Laredo as a tropical front had settled in and it was raining cats and dogs. No way I’m driving all the way to McAllen on that dangerous road. Still decided to drive to Zapata, TX, about 50 miles south—something I hadn’t done in many years.

A big change I noticed was the amount of Border Patrol on that road. In the old days, BP was few and far between. Now they are all over the place, from Laredo to Zapata, and I assume all the way to McAllen and on to Brownsville. Kind of freaky, but just another sign of our changing world.

I drove to Zapata then back to Laredo. I hadn’t planned to cross over to Nuevo Laredo that night, but by the time I got back into town the rain had stopped, so I drove to the bridge, parked my rent a car and walked across.

After a few beers downtown I took a cab out the boys town. Talk about a place that’s gone waaaaay downhill. Yes it was a rainy Sunday night, but a real sign of the times is the fact that Papagayo’s had closed its doors. The most famous and historical of all boys town clubs. There have been some fabulous talent in that place over the years.

I finally made it to Monterrey Tuesday where you get five dollar private dances where they take it all off and play with your tallywacker. You can get that done where I live but it will cost two to four times as much and the girl will most likely be African American.


It’s hard to beat the bang for your buck you get in Monterrey. I am a big fan of Guadalajara, and have been going there a lot more frequently recently due to favorable airfares, but it is generally more expensive than Monterrey.

I wanted to see Regio the master in action, but alas it wasn’t to be. Apparently I arrived about a half hour after he had left on Thursday eveningt. When I inquired if they had seen Regio recently, they said he indeed had been there that night, paid a visit to his special friend and left. All told on the evening I did about 16 five dollar privados and drank about six beers at Casino. I probably dropped about $120 USD, but the bang for the buck factor was off the charts. I had absolutely no complaints. Nobody tried to rip me off, I was treated well and would definitely go back again.

I would never have gone to the Casino if I hadn’t read Batster’s report.

A final thought on Monterrey, there seems to be a lot more visible army and police presence on the street. It didn’t bother me at all and I guess in light of recent violence it’s a good idea. I don’t remember seeing any other gringos while there, which ain’t necessarily a bad thing.

The message parlor scene, which I had participated in years back is still alive and well. Dropped into a couple and saw some pretty damn cute girls. The advertised price is an astonishingly low 150 pesos, which supposedly includes everything. I didn’t partake this time however, which I regret now.

Monterrey is off the beaten path, but if you ever find yourself in South Texas it’s definitely worth a trip. A lot of fun to be had, loads of nice young babes and the cost won’t set you way back.

Do you think Papagayo’s is permanently kaput in NL, or could this have been just a temporary closing - maybe some reconstruction or the roof leaking from all the rain or a momentary problem with the authorities as happens with bars in TJ? Regardless, this is the first report I've seen of this legendary venue being no mas.

Can you give some details about what happens in the $5 privados. That just seems to good to be true if the space is private and comfortable and you can walk out a happy man. I believe Batster reported extras being available for a very moderate propina, but FS for 30 minutes was expensive at $100 U.S. or more. Was this your experience as well? Are these chicas game to meet you the following day away from the club for a more intimate experience?

I would love to hear Regio or Porker (though I know P isn't in Monterrey anymore) or another local resident comment on the present state of violence in Monterrey. I've seen the news reports but knowing how they distorted the real facts about the drug war related violence in TJ over the last few years, I don't particularly trust the news that is coming in about Monterrey. I should say news that came in because I haven't seen or heard anything more recently than a couple of months ago at least. Then there was talk about cartel militias taking over large parts of the city and setting up their own checkpoints - so the government brings in the military to clear them out. Seems like you witnessed the aftermath of that action.

A year or two ago there were reports of random violence in the city that is virtually unknown in TJ, but is happening in Ciudad Juarez, Estado Tamaulipas and some other locations.

Erip, you know sometimes how the intel you get on the other side of the bridge can oftentimes be suspect. But everybody said the owner, Yolanda, had died, and they said it wouldn't be reopening any time soon.

The only time they ever closed Papagayos was on Easter weekend before. Seeing it closed in late September was quite a disappointing surprise.

As far as the Monterrey five-dollar dance, they start off getting you worked up by immediately taking off the top, then stripping down to bikini bottom or nothing at all. They'll pull up your shirt and start running their tits all over your chest. Some start right in on rubbing your male member with plenty of grab ass and titty sucking, and each successive dance gets hotter and hotter. Several times, for five bucks, I was able to, as the Mexicans would say, "check their oil." And believe me, that oil check is waaaay better than anything you'll ever get at Jiffy Lube. I didn't know Porker had left the Monterrey area. Damn he'd been living down there nearly 10 years, which is pretty damn impressive. I've been going there off an on for 25 years. The girls in Monterrey are better looking than most if not all places in Mexico, from what I've experienced.

I live in L.A. and don't like it very much, but one good thing about living here is it is in a sort of golden age of hometown mongering...thanks to lax law enforcement and the bad economy. Many of the prolific strip clubs in this region have crossed the line into providing everything that is available in the Monterrey clubs, and in some of them for even lower cost - though there aren't nearly enough good looking dancers to staff all of these clubs, so an abundance Tier 2 and 3 lookers is the downside.

Last weekend in TJ I clued in one of my nos. 1 (a two way tie for first place at present) that when our spelling of the same spanish word in texts differs, that my spelling is the correct one and she should take a lesson from it.

An amazing report about MTY mid-range strip club fun at the tail-end of its glory days (if Casino is now closed, there are a half-dozen exactly like it). I think those clubs are worth exploring, and the exchange rates are super attractive, they still charge in pesos.
