Joseph, I am in fact much more concerned about impregnating a chica than the risk of STDs - which is not to say that I'm unconcerned about STDs. I do use condoms the vast majority of the time to avoid unwanted pregnancy, but if I had a vasectomy, I would surely use them less.

Not to be flip, but the STDs I'm most concerned about are colds and flu. Catch those extremely contagious viruses and you are guaranteed to be miserable for up to a few weeks with no serious relief yet available. On the other hand, if you catch a dose of clap or chlamydia, you will feel fine after you take one dose of antibiotic, and finish the prescription to eliminate the problem from your system entirely. Herpes and warts are easily transmissible with or without condoms. Modern medicine has answers that at least keep them at bay most of the time for most people. Plus, I'm 57 years old and have never had a single episode of social disease ever.

So of course it comes down to HIV. Realistically for heterosexual men who aren't IV drug users, it is pretty damn difficult to contract HIV even if you wanted to (I actually knew a monger like that, and he was a physician with a death wish). Like everybody I was freakishly concerned about it when it first broke out in the 1980's, and maintained a healthy paranoia until recent years when I've come to understand the statistics. I still have respect for it, but I can't anymore be ruled by fear of it. The numbers indicate no need to fear it whatsoever in connection with receiving BBBJ. My fewer than occasional sin condon encounters with panocha don't concern me from that angle. Hello all, I am not sure if anyone is still monitoring this entry, but I will have an unexpected short-term trip to San Diego and am planning to head down to TJ next weekend. I have some questions. This is what I sent to hotel cascadas, but I might get more honest answers from my CH brethern:

Obviously you are aware that there exists a perception in the US, whether deserved or not, that there are security concerns when traveling to Mexico. I wonder if there are key locks from the inside of the hotel rooms, so that only someone with a key can open the door from the inside. This level of security prevents any girls that may be invited to the room from sneaking off with valuables or worse opening the door to un-invited guests that may have dangerous intentions. This is a feature that I saw often when I traveled to other hotels with a similar clientele.

Also, I will be arriving to San Diego late on Friday and wonder about the security of walking with luggage and laptop across the border. I wonder if staying in San Diego on Friday night and then make the border crossing in the light of day on Saturday would be a better, safer strategy. I understand that your desire will be to have a guest as many nights as possible, but I would appreciate information that is as unbiased as you can offer.

Finally, I assume there is a parking lot of some sort near the pedestrian border crossing. Do you have any infomation as to how safe it is for a vehicle to be parked for 2-3 days?

One final question, when arriving in Tijuana and at the Hong Kong Club, are US dollars acceptable or should I be prepared to use Mexican Pesos.

The easiest thing is just to stay close to the border on the US side, leave your luggage and stuff there. It is so easy to take a taxi from the border to the Hong Kong Club, why even bother making the trek with luggage, laptop and all your stuff across. I have stayed at the Best Western Americana Inn, which is about 5 minutes from the border. From there it is only 10 minutes by taxi to the red light district.

Hong Kong, Chicago, etc, and the girls all accept USD. No need to exchange money.

About as easy of a trip as you can make it without any of the security concerns of staying in Tijuana.

Also make sure not to make any deals on the street or do any business with street people period unless you've been around TJ long enough to cultivate some trusted connections.

So best way to go is to get your own overnight room in a hotel like Cascades if you are going to stay in the zona and don't fuck around too far outside the box in short term sessions.
