Today was the 2nd warm & sunny one in a row. I had plans to take the RER train from "Charles de Gaulle Etroile" station, west to the "Chateau de Versailles". My pass cont'd to work.
Got there in 40 minutes flat.
Found the Tour Office and paid out 27 Euros for the ticket.
You talk about a zoo! I had mentioned earlier about the crowds, but this was too much. Even with the advance ticket purchase, there were literally 1,00's in front of me.
P.S.: This reflects the fact that France is the No. 1 tourist destination on the planet, at 79 Million per annum. Italy and the rest trail, starting at 40 MM. So essentially double.

Fortunately the line moved quick and I chatted with a doll from Miami, via Jamaica, on vacation while her husband worked. It was quite a spectacule as the photos show.




























After 5+ hours, I couldn't take anymore (both crowd & culture).
Went back to that Internet Cafe and pre-booked a ticket for the "Moulon Rouge" show for 11:00 p.m. that evening.
Made a few calls. On reaching the last of the short list it was either Audrey answering, or Agnia's friend (from Sunday). Audrey answered, I gave her my address, showered, and waited until 5:30 rolled in.

Was wondering how you get such good pics of girls out and about, don't they see you taking their pic ??

They don't mind or are you using a zoom from long range ??

Dr.J, I think you may have saved me several $1,000's as I have wanted to visit Paris (and in a way this was like a mini-journey). But, you bring up good points that Paris is very crowded with tourists and the women mostly look unpleasant despite their outwardly "sophisticated" presentation. I think I would grow tired of all that after about a weekend.
