The routine was getting to be pretty much the same everyday here. I should mention it got to 40 degrees C. everyday, sunny, hot & sometimes humid if the breeze from the Med wasn't blowing. It was so hot it was still 34, at 9 p.m.
Today bought another oil painting. Then some postcards. Next boarded the "Le Grand Tour" tourist bus for a 2-1/2 hour spin around the city. I liked what I saw! That was 20 Euros. Time for some lunch. On the street parallel to the main drag called "Cours Saleya' I found a table in the shade at "Chez Freddy". Another salad Nocoise (why do I order this so regularly? It's the anchovies!), a ribeye steak with a side salad & fries , a litre of Evian, and a carafe of Muscadet Lie. That plus a creme brule set me back 42.30 E.
On my way home scored a bottle of champagne for 17 more. It clouded over in the late p.m. likem it was gonna pour; but nothing.
I went to my list. It had 11 names. One by one I knocked them off. Either not in service, or I left a message. Connected with this Nicol for Wednesday. Relaxed some more and got ready for dinner. Found a bunch in around "Place Massena". This one was called "Pizzeria Villa Sorriso". I had a deluxe meal there consisting of a different type of salad incl. potatoe slices and then a huge fettucine carbonara with a 0.5 l. white, a banana split and Irish coffee. The bill came to 47.50.
Went looking for this jazz club named "Bar des Oiseaux". No luck. But I did find option #2 which was "Les Trois Diables" It was really just a fancy watering hole on 2 levels, with a patio. Had a drink, looked around but no working girls there. By now it was after 1:00 so I jumped in a cab for a 15 Euro ride back.
