Saturday

I completely forget that I never finished this report, and since I didn't take as many notes towards the end, I've forgotten alot, but then again, the end of the trip wasn't all that eventful.

On Saturday morning I checked out of the Alston and into a nearby hostel. I figured I'd go ahead and meet some "normal" travelers and save a few bucks as well. After dropping my stuff off, I walked over to a coffee place where the pickup for an Otavalo Market tour I scheduled through Gulliver's Travel Agency (Juan Leon Mera and Calama). I wasn't too happy with the tour, it took up most of the day but we spent less than an hour at the market. Some of the time was wasted getting lost (not the regular driver) and visiting a lame biscuit "factory".

When we returned the power was out again. I don't recall what I did that late afternoon/early evening, but with the power out I couldn't get on the Internet. I think I just hung out with some of the hostel people, there was an attractive lady I think I would have had a shot with, unfortunately she had a boyfriend coming in that night. I did write down that I had lasagna for dinner, I'm pretty sure that was at a place on Juan Leon Mera but I'm not sure where.

At 10:30pm I headed to Night Kats. Cover was $5 which included a couple drinks. Several ladies were doable, but busy for the most part. My mind was kind of set on Monica, anyways. After about an hour or so I took a $3 cab to Extasis.

It was a slow Saturday...I was somewhat surprised. That seemed to work in my favor, though, as Monica appeared and was all mine. Monica was a Colombian from Bogota. We spent a good amount of time talking and drinking. She had to get up to dance in a show, but she came back to me when she was done. At the end of the night I had a blast with Monica who provided everything on the menu (at least everything I wanted, I'm not into anal). Total price at Extasis in and out the door was $196.

I took a taxi back to the hostel with only a few hours left before another Gulliver tour.

Sunday

Sunday was completely uneventful from a hobbying perspective.

I had fruit salad for breakfast at the same coffee shop, than went on the Cotopaxi hiking/biking tour. This one was much better than the Otavalo tour. I also met two very lovely ladies, one whom I've occasionally kept in contact with. I doubt that will ever go anywhere, but who knows, anything can happen.

I just lounged around after the tour since I would have only had a short amount of time to visit any of the places open on Sundays. There was a Argentine BBQ dinner at the hostel that night, that was fairly tasty for a good price.
