I think I unfairly bashed the New Garden in this report, well, simply because I was too spoiled by the hotels in Asia.

The New Garden Hotel seems like the place to be as far as mongering goes. The hotel is very friendly and understanding in regards to the ladies coming and going. All of the guests are true mongers who have come here for nothing else besides drinking and fucking. When you go on an adventure like this one, then you want to stay at the hotel that is in tune with the "master plan". New Garden is clearly with us on the plan.

If you want to go to Sosua then the New Garden is the place to be...but dont expect it to be a luxury accomodation that you might have experienced in Asia or other place.

Black Beards is a resort that is far away from the street scene. Its a place to go when you want to just relax. There is not much else to do at BlackBeards besides relaxing and fucking. Chances are that you wont get taken for a ride by the ladies at BlackBeards as the management there has some control on what goes on.

BlackBeards vs. New Garden-

Blackbeards-
- Far far away from the street scene. Remote area and you need to take a car to get to the Sosua scene.
- The ladies you get at Blackbeards are the ones the management lets in.
- Relaxing atmosphere.
- Not a whole lot to do.
- Good for the monger who doesnt want a hassle and on vacation to relax and fuck.
- Management has some control over the ladies and scams are less common then in Sosua. If a lady does wrong at Blackbeards, then they will not let her back through the door.
- Walk to the beach.
- After a few days, you might get bored.

New Garden Hotel-
- Party central. Party goes on all night long.
- Access to the Sosua bar scenes along with the ladies who hang out by the pool. Wide assortment.
- Free breakfast, free fast reliable wi-fi, hundreds of cable television channels.
- 5 minute walk to the beach.
- More of a 3rd world urban atmosphere and feel.
- Management doesnt have any control over the ladies.

How reliable and how fast was the internet access at the New Garden? How much are the rooms?

The internet access is better towards the window pool side & lower level rooms...I think the WIFI router is actually located at the check-in office close to the street, hence the closer the better the Internet connnection. There are different rooms available...check out http://www.newgardenhotel.net/

I was able to complete my daily VOIP call (Skype or Vonage) home to my significant other each day without a problem :-)

There is actually an English bar with a good breakfast close by...they also have good Internet access. Once they closed at night, I used the internet connection while standing outside (it was an unsecured WIFI connection), to use my iphone and vonage (or skype) to call home.....no problema :-)

....and no, my iphone did not get stolen!!!!!

LM: Thanks for your post. I notice on their website that they list "EXCLUSIVE TAXI Service to and from the AIRPORT". How much do they charge and is it worth it for the convenience?

The fare I got was $15 one-way. The time it took to get to/from the airport was about 10 minutes by car.

You could probably find a cheaper way to the airport, but for me the $15 was a small negligible amount and I didnt think it was worth it to get into a car with a guy I didnt know who wasnt backed by the hotel.

There are plenty of taxis on the street and at the airport who might take you for less.
