Pricing is what you negotiate and depends on many factors. I noticed that different mongers at the New Garden had their own strategy. There were some creative strategies and results varied from monger to monger.
Here is my personal observation on the pricing and other people might have different opinions or experiences. I am not stating any of this as "fact", but just telling you what I experienced. You may have more or less talent then me at these things so results do vary.
Keep in mind, I do not speak Spanish so someone who speaks Spanish might be a better negotiator.
- In the late hours (3am and after) and in the morning hours (before 3pm), the women seemed to be more negotiable with the price. You could easily find the sub-1500 peso quickies.
- The women I met at the bars seemed to always start out at 2000 pesos in regards to short time, but could be negotiated to 1500.
- 1500 seemed to be the minimal basic rate. You cant expect the woman to give you complete full service for that rate. You will probably get basic sex, uncovered blowjob, no GFE and a time limit of 30-60 minutes or until you pop whichever comes first. If you cum quickly and dont care about GFE, then you probably just want the 1500 special.
- The definitions of short and long time varied among the street women. In general, the women want to get back out on the street asap so they can find a new John and make more money. Short time will be as short as they can get away with at times...other times it might mean a few hours. Long time is 6 hours to all night long. Keep in mind, a woman going "long time" might expect you to pay for her meals. I did see quite a few women getting treated to breakfast at the New Garden in the morning...
- Black Beard's Resort has an informal fixed system of $40 short time and $80 long time. Short time at Black Beard's is about 2-3 hours and long time is basically all night. You can see samples of the BlackBeards ladies in previous trip reports by other mongers. Their pictures generally represent what is there. Keep in mind that Black Beard's is away from the Sosua scene and you will need a hired car to take you to that scene. Blackbeard's does have some control over the ladies although they do not admit to having any control. They will from time to time suspend or ban women and there is someone watching to see who goes up to the room with who...Blackbeard's gets a cut from the action.
- I mentioned the La Passion bar which has a set menu of pricing. For AC and Pattaya mongers, you might enjoy a place like this one. Although the pricing is at a hefty premium then the street action, you get a guaranteed time. The bar tells you how much time you have with the lady and during that time almost anything goes. If you pay the hefty premium, then the woman will not run on you and if she does then you can complain to a higher power. You can choose from a menu of ladies. I think this is worth it because I had some experiences with the street ladies running out before it was time. I would pay the premium for a guaranteed time versus the street action.

- The street ladies will go long-time or all night with you for a higher price. That price seemed to be 3000 pesos from my observation.
- Money seemed to talk with the ladies more then anything. If you pay more, then the ladies seem less apt to run out the door. The street ladies want to make as much cash as possible without wearing their pussies out. A guy who pays 3000-4000 pesos will, of course, get better service then a guy who pays just 1500.
- As stated a few times before, speaking Spanish will probably get you better service then if you dont speak it.
- Buddy up with your fellow mongers. If you get into a jam with the price and negotiations, then call in a moderator which will be one of your fellow mongers...preferably one who speaks Spanish. Sometimes having two heads against one is a better strategy. My opinion is the DR is best done as a team sport. Go with a buddy who speaks Spanish and work together at the scene...
- The cheapest entrees at the local restaurants seemed to be in the 180-250 peso neighborhood or about 5-7 dollars. If you want real fine dining then there are restaurants there that will satisfy your tastes. The restaurant at the Tierra Linda Hotel will get you a huge steak meal for about 15-20 dollars. This is one restaurant you want to eat at at least once.

There are other ways to eat even more cheaply like street food and convenience stores. Its up to you...Both the Tierra Linda and New Garden offer free breakfast.
- The pricing of the hotels depend upon the months. When I stayed, the New Garden cost $55 a night with cash and $60 with a credit card. The Tierra Linda, a much much more upscale place, cost $70 a night. If you have the cash, then you probably want to go to the Tierra Linda although my opinion is that you will meet more mongers at the New Garden.
- There are modern supermarkets and pharmacies around the area that will sell certain items much cheaper then at the hotels. For example, you will need to buy those 1.5 liter bottles of water. Dont buy them at the hotel, but at one of the many local supermarkets.
