I left PP for Siem Reap by bus. 6 Hour drive. But the driver hit a cow... then shit happened. He parked and call the cambodian cops. A different group of agents were involved and they were confused about who are responsible of what. Very retarded. So i arrived very late ate night at my hotel. www.CityRiverHotel.Com. Very Nice Hotel at a super low season rate, around 50 US.
I took a full 2 day visit of the temples with a guide and a tuk-tuk. The guide was excellent. Walking over sand stone and volcanic stone all day at 35 degrees is very tough, so the great bed and room was appreciated.
Siem Reap airport is really nicer than PP, the tourism dollars are in abundance in Siem Reap.
Chics : 0. The only ones i shot were sculptures at the temple.
I did jump in a tuk-tuk and ask the driver to show me ladies, he brought me to the best joint... ouch... the ladies were dogs. I left, then we went to a disco with an outside bar attached. I saw some cuties leaving with punters but there was nothing good left for me... i left for a good sleep.

Nice report so far and kudos on the PP chicks. I recommend at least 3 days at the temples so can all be seen in a leisurely manner. $50 doesn't jibe with my idea of a low priced hotel for Siem Reap. Plenty of decent digs for $15-20 a night. During low season just have the taxi take you into town and you can bargain a room to a good price easily.
I got a very overpriced massage parlor girl and picked up a cracker of a FL at Zanzibar, down the street from my hotel. Her friend was even hotter but she was gone by the time I pulled the trigger.
My overall impression of Cambo is this: the women may not always be out in large numbers, but there's always a high percentage of good looking ones. I've never seen a bar or club with 100% fuglies ala 50% of Pattaya beer bars. Also places like heart of darkness are filled with people who can either not afford to P4P or are just not there for that so odds are good you will get that hot one out of the three or 4 who may be in the bar, but don't dilly dally on pulling the trigger.

It's great to see some rainy season photos of the temples. That was my first experience and I really missed the torrential rain and brilliant greens in my later trips.
Bigpoppa is right about the off-season rates (is there really an on off season?). If you know how to shop and know how to haggle, twenty clams a night is easily had. Of course the bigger places are quite willing to let you spend a hundred, but there you go.
There are plenty of gals in Seim Reap, but you need to hook up with a local or two to find them. On my last trip, I had a motor bike and was able to explore the back streets more quickly. Taking a taxi, unfortunately, adds another twenty bucks to the whatever you pay the shop; not a good deal.

City River Hotel is a REALLY nice place. Not a 20 bucks kinda place. I booked the guide at front desk and he was excellent. He told me the whole history of the temples and the country.

i think anyone who mongers in SE Asia should spend 3 nights in Siem Reap.
i recommend staying in the Pub Street area. Plenty of places for CHEAP. Personally, i love to stay at http://mollymalonescambodia.com
as for a good guide i've used www.angkorservice.com
other board people have used him too.
