Bought a coupla' ice cold Skols and wrote some postcards.
Took a taxi to the hi-end "Village Resto" but it was fuckin' closed.
Sooooo, had him take me to a mall where the "Florentina" restaurant was located. Good, not great. Had 2 gl. red, an OK dish of ravioli Napolitano, and a fair Chateau brand steak with fries, rice & peas & ham, gravy and veggies. Paid 81R.
Back to the hotel to finish packing for the night flight.
NOW! I was warned that this hotel had Guest Fees and that they would be high! BULL-SHIT! No charges but for the mini-bar consumptions and a few few local & LD calls.
A quick ride to the airport for 50. Easy check-in and NO over-weight luggage fee.
Bought some jewelery for the "girls - read: escorts" back home. Right!
Push-off at 1:11 am. Not bad!
Landed on time in Fortaleza, in a driving rain storm.
Only 25 passengers stayed behind. Plane filled up again and we took off at 6:06 and landed in Salvador de Bahia at 7:41. Beauty!
My bags came out quick, but I grabbed a cab even faster.
Too bad the traffic into town was terrible. It took quite awhile. The fare was 99R.
The guy at security had an enevelope with my keys and all this other "stuff".
I started to unpack noting the time as 9:30.
Confirming there was NO phone; the order of the day was to score one.
Found "Shopping Barra" and picked up a "Samsung" for 99R and more airtime for another 12.
On the way back picked up some water, beer and wine.
Relaxed with a few "cold ones" and then strolled around before finding "Tsek Buteca do Farol" a seafood place for lunch. Started with their shrimp platter in garlic and olive oil (for 2 & unpeeled). Then had their filet mignon with bacon, potatoes, rice & peas & tomatoes with lettuce, and a whole lotta gravy. Yum, yum! pretty tasty and all for 56R.
Walked around some more and scored 3 extra large beers for 9R. By this time it was nice and hot and sunny!
Salavador de Bahia apartment, etc.
There is nothing, repeat; nothing, like an oceanfront apartment!
