I went to AC for 2 weeks towards the end of high season with a budget of $5000 US, which I brought with me in cash.

I usually just use my ATM card when on a sex vacation, but many people have said that cash is king in AC, and I wasn't about to try to reinvent the wheel. My plan was to spend the entire $5000 on hookers, booze, and secondary expenses around town, and charge my hotel bill (around $1100) on my credit card.

Instead, I paid everything including my hotel bill in cash, and still wound up bringing $2000 back to the US with me. This place is fucking cheap!

Upon arriving in AC, I noticed a few things:

--- The locals exist to separate you from your money, and that's it. There aren't any locals that are just living their lives free from the tourism industry, everyone seems to have their hand in the pot.

--- The girls are very sweet and very friendly, but due to their poor diet of fried foods, popcorn, and sugary snacks, most girls have a very large FUPA (fat upper pussy area) rolling out of their bikini bottoms like a spare tire.

--- While English is an official language, most girls don't stay in school very long, so the better a girl speaks English, the longer she's been in school OR the longer she's been working at a bar. I wanted to go the Blazers route and find a few FOBs, but all of the FOBs I found seemed so timid, and I just didn't want to have to deal with that drama back in the room.

--- Unlike many other mongering locales, the girls are not obligated to fuck you in AC. If they don't want to be around you, they'll accept their lady drink then make up some bullshit story about menstruation or hymen status. I can't imagine walking into New Life in Medellin, picking a girl, and having her tell me she's menstruating...

--- Most of the people that visit AC have a very low social acuity. The scene is very close to the Costa Rica scene in terms of the types of people that choose to venture there.

Okay now that I'm done ranting, on to the good stuff.

Instead of going day by day, I'm just going to try to break my trip down by scenarios, larger bars, smaller bars, Perimeter bars, my time with Sockboy50, and my 'girlfriend experience.'

Very poignant observations that ring true of my experiences...couldn't have said it better myself. However there are hotties to be had for low prices and the fun in the bars is 50% of the reason to go to AC.
