But I’ve digressed.

Less than 72 hours after leaving MDE…I was back in Pattaya and looking forward to another session with Sala. Unfortunately, I soon realized she had “flipped”. This is a term I use to describe the transition that occurs with all Thai bargirls. One day they’re working on the farm in Isarn, then for various reasons they end up “working bar”, as they say. How much did you compensate Sala for her time?

Ah, the compensation question. Damn, I stopped keeping notes years ago and I rarely remember what I paid any specific girl, but I can offer these guidelines. For the test drive I usually pay the standard rate...600bt barfine and 1500bt s/t (gogo girls). For subsequent sessions I usually pay 500-1000 s/t and 800-1500 l/t, and no barfine. Exceptions are not unusual because some girls are exceptional.

Compensation is an important topic in forums like this...and for good reason. But for me it isn't just a simple black and white, these are the rates kinda thing. There's dozens of variables to consider, especially when you're a "local". I suspect others who live or spend extended amounts of time in a mongering location have similar considerations. And it explains why the "YMMV" caveat is so frequently used.

In my case, I've been around long enough to know what's appropriate here and I compensate accordingly. I'm very well known in Pattaya and my reputation often precedes me. More often than not, this eliminates the need to discuss compensation in advance. Nor do I discuss or negotiate for specific services in advance. I just enjoy my time and the session as it happens and compensate accordingly.

Because of my circumstances I can relax and enjoy the adventure of unpredictability as opposed to the anxiety of trying to get some predictable ROI. But that's me....I prefer keeping the business element of the relationship to a minimum and I rarely have a problem with this approach. This is probably the single biggest reason why I've mongered so much in Pattaya.

I sure as hell don't have this luxury anywhere else.

Well said, I can appreciate this M.O. Guys that can hang around for longer periods of time usually can arrange for better deals than the short time warrior. It is also important to 'time stamp' info such as pricing. I believe the prices that you quoted for a girl of Sala's quality is in line with what I'd pay for a decent romp in bed with lots of kissing. It is also appreciated that you let us know at which club she can currently be found
