I only had four days I could take for this trip but had to do Rio because my favorite monger body was down there. This was not my first trip, so I just want to add some updates to what has already been said about this destination.

They finally got me with the fake bird shit trick in Ipanema after four years of problem free mongering. I refused to pay for cleaning and washed my sneakers in the ocean. If nobody paid, the attacks would stop.

Balcony bar is still the main place to pull. You can get R$150-200 deals for a two hour run for the night. Overnights are typically R$400, but the girl will usually leave at dawn without sex, so I don't see much benefit in paying for overnights.

Went to Centaurus. They are expensive but still one of the best. My other favorite is Solarium.

The city has gotten safer over the years. People can freely walk on Copacabana beach at 9 PM. Just make sure to take a cab back.

I always stay in apartments. Hotels are no match for privacy and value.

This was a short but fun trip... Now I'm ready to book Bangkok.

Good luck Bigpoppa. Leblon is the best place to stay, but it is the farthest from Balcony. Ipanema is a great compromise. Bringing a set of roller skates or a skateboard will save a bundle on cab fare. Once you pull a good girl, it is worth keeping her number and asking her about any friends she may have. My best girl on this trip was the friend of another girl my monger buddy pulled from Balcony. Traveling with a friend is more fun and if you rent a 2BR together, it is also cheaper.

There's basically cambios everywhere in Zona Sul. Just look online to find the rates and they won't very much from that since the dollar is shit. About the only time cambios might give you a better rate if you changing $1000 worth or more and they are $100 bills. Even then you might only get 0.05 above the official rate. No one wants Dollars anymore.

I've had quite a few garotas spend the night for 200R or less pulled from Balcony. 400R is way too high and maybe only the norm for a newbie.

I don't see the point of lugging a skateboard around when the vans run along the beach for 2R (I guess 2,20R now) literally every 5 minutes.

Leblon is in fact, but the most expensive place to live in Rio and not sure why anyone would want to stay there if in Rio to monger. I suppose you are closer to the nicer love motels, but there are no termas or mongering venues in Leblon. Unless you don't mind roller-blading down to Copa.
