Subject: 2011/05 Bangkok & Pattaya Notes

I flew to BKK on Quatar Airways for the firs time: NYC -> Doha -> BKK. This is a bit of a shortcut over NYC -> Tokyo -> BKK. Quatar economy is a superb experience with more leg room, extra large touch screen and a great web site, but the primitive Doha airport and the smelly Middle Eastern clientele ruined the fun. I will be back on ANA next time.

The airport transfer has completely changed. Suvarnabhumi airport now has a new rail link which brought me to downtown in 20 minutes for a mere 150 THB. The hotel was only a short 60 THB cab ride. No need to take a car from the airport ever.

Low season offerings were great. I stayed at the President Solitaire (www.presidentsolitaire.com) for $630/ten days in a basic suite. Even this suite is very spacious. The hotel is five stars and offers free, unlimited entrance to Q Bar and the Bed Supper club for all residents.

My Pattaya hotel was the Amari Nova (www.amari.com/novasuites/). About the same price as the Solitaire, it is on a backroad, so I rented a scooter. Next time, I'd stay closer to the main drag and use the shuttle vans to get around.

The Pattaya mall next to the Hilton has a lot to offer, especially food. Pattaya prices are slightly lower than Bangkok's, and stunners are a bit more rare, but the uninhibited naked bar girls are definitely worth a visit, and the Pattaya Walking Street zone is bigger than all of Bankok's red light districts put together.

I pulled a freelancer from Lucifer's Disco. Another stunner I pulled from the street turned out to be a post-op. Street game is not recommended.

A Corolla from BKK to Pattya is 1200 THB; a Camri is 1500. The hotel arranges the best deals.

BKK girls are trying to charge 4000 THB for long time, but you can still find 3000 THB deals. Club Eden at soi 7/1 has also raised the price for an ovenighter to 4000 THB. Short time is not worth it because those girls will leave after 20 minutes or when you cum -- whichever is sooner.

Paragon Center still has a huge food selection, but my favorite remains the Indian place in Soi 3.

I got a regular massage woman to give me a hand job, and a friend got full sex from another massage girl for a tip. Most massage places will send you a girl to your hotel room if you prefer, and you can take it from there.

All in all another great vacation. Thailand never disappoints. I have already done Rio and BKK this year and am looking forward to more fun in the Fall.

The airport train is silent, cheap, super fast and empty. Most of the people are still lining up for $50 cab rides at the airport.



The Lumpini Park night market is been bulldozed to make way for boring condos. A great loss for us.
