The Ukraine is a very addictive place for hobbyists, preferably those with a little cash and command of the Russian language.
I love the way the women dress, how tall they are and how they change from cool to so very sexy; especially after a few drinks. And DO NOT fear the hotties; they luv foreigners!
I had booked the main flight, way back in August 2010. It was a direct to Kiev, on Aerosvit. Also at that time the hotel in Istanbul I wanted was having a promo: Book 5 nights, pay for 4. A $ 320 saving, but with the caveat that ALL monies up-front, and no refunds. What the hell! I knew I was gonna' go!
All other connecting flights and apartment rentals were completed in April of this year.
My buddy "Peter" drove me to the airport in the afternoon of a lazy day in June. The trip was going to be 3 solid weeks, to explore 4 destinations. 2 repeats (Kiev & Odessa) and 2 new (Yalta & Istanbul).
The airline was giving a promo on Biz class seats for a $ 500 upcharge. But with no individual entertainment systems, and non-fully reclining seats, I passed. I did request an Emergency exit row seat for a paltry $ 45. They gave it to me for free.
Scored a 1 l. bottle of Bacardi at the duty-free.
Flight took off early, and landed early. My seat was fine, but way too many young kids around. Biz, as I expected was MT.
Customs was fast & easy this time; and my luggage roared out like nobody's business.
My man "Dimitri" was waiting and we were off. An easy drive into the city.
Got to the apartment by 12:20 local. Paid him the balance & a $ 100 security deposit.
Went out to get some supplies & mix. The plan was to have a few cocktails and then sleep-off the jet lag (I had dozed for no more than an hour on the jet).
Found my favourite radio station and already the place was feeling so comfortable.
So, went out to score a litle bite to eat for later, sushi to-go.
As my i-phone worked here, made a few calls, and arranged for Tuesday, to have Liliana visit.
Went out at 10:00 p.m.
Taxi to Avalon was 70 UAH.
Place totaly MT. Had 1 drink for 55, and split.
Private car to Decadence, noew called Touch was 50.
A very sexy club. Had 1 Red Bull & vodka for 65.
Stayed an hour, talked to a few dolls, but needed to move.
To Rio. Spent 250 UAH there including 100 as a cover. Had 2 cocktails. The place was sexy, but very small. Some girls were hot but not really any stunners. Don't know what the hype was all about.
Another private car got me to Buddha Bar, near the appt. Had one Chivas there and just loved the joint. Huge, sexy place, and maybe 12 to 15 working girls. Some were off-the-scale and started at $ 500 USD. But that was just baiting. Most really wanted $ 300 or 200 Euros. The last busty bombe I gabbed with, would have come for $ 200 USD and 200 UAH taxi fare.
I was too wasted to waste any money at this point.
So went back to the apartment at 3:00 a.m.
At 3:30 decided to go for a walk.
Took some money, but not my wallet.
A dumb move.
Police pulled me into their car asking for "dokuments". I had none so they took me for a ride. Thought that maybe they were gonna "kick the shit outta me", but no, just a ride to the station. The desk sargeant and I had a few laughts, and it boiled down to "Sczkolka" i.e. how much? He wanted a bribe of 300 UAH, I countered with 200, and he laughed again, took the money and told them to drive me home.
By this time it was 4:20 and time to truly crash!
