Set the alarm for 7:00 as the driving tour today was to begin at 8:00
It was a perfect day for some panoramic vistas of the Crimea peninsula, and the Black Sea. Igor was an informative, class guy who used to work for a travel agency. He now does private tours and provides services thru his own agency. We used bribes, descete, his tour badges, whatever it took to beat out the crowds. I sucked out all three (3) video batteries, AND the Nikon battery during the eight hours.
Highlights included:
Lividian Palace - summer home of the Tsars & site of the 1945 Yalta conference
Vorontsov's Palace & Park: All sourced from abroad and the dude's wife, the Csarina, fired three 3 separate architects. That is why the palace is built with three separate styles. Bitch!
And my personnal favourite Swallow's Nest - a magical castle on a cliff, built by another Csar, to fuck his mistress, away from his wife. Stupendous!
He dropped me off and I walked back to my appt,. with a take-out pizza, by 5:57. So it was more like a ten hour, all day tour. I was a little bushed!
