Blazers, thanks for the report, and I should probably reserve judgement until the bitter end, but I find it ironic that you have for quite a long time touted Pattaya as, on a whole, cheaper than AC, yet, you're paying 90+ USD for short time while getting drink-slutted and gouged by baht bus drivers. And lamenting that the "good ol' days" of 2000 baht LT are long gone, and that, gee, LT is actually kind of hard to find on Walking Street ar any price any more, something that most of us found out half a decade ago. You only go to AC so you really wouldn't know. AC is extremely expensive because you need to go to a ton of bars to find hotties and spend a lot of money on alcohol and sometimes ladies drinks. AC is double the price of Pattaya hotels and triple the price for food. In the end, Pattaya can be expensive if you go for top gogo girls but that is not the only venue.

Plenty of really hot beach road freelancers willing to go 700 for ST. Plenty of hot freelancers at Insomnia and other discos for 1,000-1,500 baht ST and sometimes that price for LT. Beer bar girls will go for 1,500 baht LT and 1,000 baht ST..sometimes less.

Compare top gogo girls in Pattaya to the price you would spend on feature girls in AC. About the same price. Shit, every barfine on Fields is near 2,000 now and even the most hardcore cheap charlies will at least give 500 baht tip. Unfortunately, I may have to go into 20 bars to find a barfineable girl...especially with the Korean weekend warriors.

What I and others are saying is you know Thai, you have been to this country a million times and so we expect you to be able to negotiate through the top end gogos. However, my personal opinion, is no one can really negotiate through those places. Lets say you do negotiate a deal than the ladies have an attitude the entire time you are with them thinking you ripped them off. At the first moment after you cum, they jump out the door and look for someone else. So you really have to pay them top dollar for them to stay with you happily. I liked being at the Secrets and the TQ on Beach Road. Even if those women don't seem to meet your tastes, they treat you better than those at the Airport or other top end go-go bars.

i know you've been around the block a few times in pattaya. no lack of experience but i think you may have missed these two super clubs during your tours.

my memory from my days in pattaya in 06 and 07 is a little foggy. but i remember taking girls from the superbar on the right hand side of soi diamond (not sure if it is super girl or super baby). the bar fine was lower then but it wasn't unusual to pay 2000thb for ST during that time. the place caters to japanese and/or other asians. and it has some hot girls. Another thing to consider is that this is a single venue, unless it is surrounded by other bars that have a similar setup then Soi 6 is more attractive. You just need to keep your radar on!

Just for perspective's sake, I dug out some old travel notes. Those who know me are aware I keep pretty meticulous notes to document my trips.

In November of 2001 I barfined a top girl out of Happy GoGo on Walking Street, a top gogo at the time. Her name was Jaul, a girl that Blazers also barfined, by coincidence.

I paid her 1500 baht for short time. That was 11 years ago. For top-tier talent, a 500 baht change in prices over 11 years ain't too shabby.

like i noted above, the ST rate at the superclubs hasn't changed in years. so our reporter goes to the high end club and pays the market rate. he also goes to the bottom of the barrel with a massage lady. i believe i also saw a pick up from soi 7. so that covers several steps on the ladder in including the top the bottom and one in the middle. and somehow this effort is criticized. i'm not sure too many guys run the full spectrum on a trip. i know i don't.

As I discussed with another Hombre (who may or may not want me to mention his fake name here) while watching the girls file into some of the Soi Cowboy bars last night, one of the things that probably is going on here is that we have a tendency to remember what we paid in the good old days, and then that becomes the standard in our minds. For example, the places on Rua Augusta in Sao Paulo used to all charge 50 or 60 reais an hour maybe six or seven years ago. So when I go back and the charge is now 100 reais I wince notwithstanding that the increase is to be expected given the Brazilian inflation rate (of course the wince also reflects the effect of the weak dollar on what I am really paying).

Similarly, I still think (in the back of my mind) in terms of around 1500 short-time and 2000 long-time, because at one time that was around what it was. But then I get back to current reality.

Not to say bargains can't still be negotiated, but that is a different issue than what constitutes a gross overpayment.

Yes, Kinaree is a great alternative to soi 6. I believe I mentioned these new venues of big homes turned into mini soi 6's earlier in this report by Blazers. My friend who live there has been introducing me to a few of them, but I think Kinaree is the best. Better talent than soi 6 without having to walk up and down that street getting sweaty. I spent 5 of my last 10 days in Pattaya there barfining a different girl each day.

Still, Soi 6 is still fun if you're willing to dig for the gems. Kinaree is just for lazy days/mongers; sort of like the Mansion in Medellin.

Blazers' taste in young women is well... pretty frickin good. She looks good enough to eat. I would salivate if I was in the same room with her.

I have never been to Thailand but hope to make up for that in two years when I retire. I have made four trips to the Philippines but I am disappointed in what Angeles has become. It is far too dangerous and such a con game atmosphere there now.

If I were never to return to Angeles, it would not be a great loss to me.
