The ride to Bangkok Hualumpong train station was smooth and the steward in my coach was very helpful in setting my 2nd class bed space. it helps been familiar how to set it up. Only drawback was the almost 90' delay in Hatyai; but, still we arrived at around 8:30-9 am next day. taking a taxi from the train station is a no brainer, just keep an eye on your bags.
I made a phone reservation with the World inn hotel and it wasn't a problem. had a hotel deal of THB 850 per night. place has just been renovated and was looking good, only weakness was the internet not up to standards, signal was sometimes too deluted.

I had a few back up choices and just for the record those were the Crown hotel on soi 29 and the Crown hotel on soi 6-8.
Bangkok nowadays tends to remind me a megacity and I would only stay here if i really have too. though, even Thailand is changing I always like to go to Pattaya. good places to go are the World plaza center, Phantip plaza for your dvds/cds and that awesome Gold Bhudda at the Wat trimit in chinatown.
World Inn has in general all the comodities you would expect. even the soi is full of good choices, among them; bars, massage parlors, devils den and a few small inns.
I did went around and check Nana Plaza, patpong and soi cowboy. amazing how innocent they look during the daytime!?!?!?
Wangted to hit Nana Plaza first and after jumping from one gogo bar to another i ended up at Erotica I, and barfine Mei from Isan (lt). she was very upgoing and the only bad commnet i had was that in the morning she was like a dead fish.

Another good choice for medical attention is the Samitivej Sukhumvit hospital, on soi 49. I had been a this private hospital a few times and is top of the line service. cheaper than what you would pay statesides.
Is amazing how thais keep building around Bangkok. the mall at Nana nua is small but not bad.
On one of my forays into Nana Plaza, I saw this beauty at erotica II, kept in mind I had to barfine her before i moved to Pattaya. did get her, Eo was from Surin, one night and she was a honey that could melt an iceberg.

There is also another 2nd Crown hotel by soi 29; big difference is that this hotel has a swimming pool, unlike the Crown hotel on soi 6-8.
There was no need to have any special transportation to Pattaya and just hopped on the MRT and got off at the ekamai station to get to the eastern terminal for the buses to Pattaya. still a steal for only THB 113.

I had almost forgetten about the Crown Hotel, I stayed there years ago on my first trip to Thailand. I enjoyed hearing the locals prounce it "Clown Hotel" and soon found it was easier making myself understood to the tuk tuk drivers if I said it that way too.
Thanks for the reports and the random street shots.
