Went to the pool from 10:00 to 11:50, and got a little toasted.
On my return, 3 maids were in the condo, and an air-con technician who had found a burnt out contactor on the condensor motor. Packed and took a shower.
Tony #1 calls from the lobby. I go down and tell him to fuck off, he is not getting any money. Quote: "When I said 4 drinks, you bought 5. That was your tip"
At exactly 1:00 pm, with the aid of the apartment key dude, we took my 2 suitcases across the street to the office. How convenient!
Exchange some leftover $ US and did a final 30 min. at the Internet Cafe. Back to the emerald stores. The 1st was a scam! The 2nd was nice, and more in line with my previous experience. I bought three (3) bare stones for $ 500 USD. Then another $ 620, on diamond, emerald and gold earrings for my GF, and a large raw, unpolished emerald ring for my sister.
Went back to the beach for two Heinekens, and that same langoustine-pulpa dish as earlier in the week. Took a long, last look at the Caribbean coast, and turned around to go retrieve my luggage.
Grabbed a street cab. A quick trip to the aeropuerto was only 20K.
Check-in was smooth.
Had plenty of time on my hands.
Bought a coupla' iced teas, and wrote some notes on the trip.
The flight boards late, and takes off even later. On landing at 10:10 pm; I use the services of an airport porter to get me and the bags to the check-in counter for the last flight home.
Now I also had time to hit the Duty Free and score 'Gucci' "Guilty" for $ 64 and a 1 l. Ron de Medellin for $ 12.
I get a shitty seat this time, but the bottom line is, I didn't care!
The flight lands in -10 C. weather, ahead of schedule, i.e. 5:25 a.m.
My limo home costs $40, and I open the door to my mondo-condo at 6:42, tired, but very, very happy.
