Review:

Soi LK Metro

I went to Soi LK Metro on several occasions and quite liked the atmosphere but didn't barfine, even though the bars were within walking distance of my place. Next time.

CHAMPAGNE A GOGO (CH Link)

Went here several times in the afternoon for happy hour and they had a decent day lineup. At night, they had the best talent by far on SLKM. One girl with a gorgeous face, large well done bolt on tits and curvy body would make a fortune on Walking Street. They had other bolt on girls too and some hot spinners. Similar uncomfortable seating as you see at some of the bars on Soi Cowboy like Long Gun. Very small bar and packed at night. Get there early or no seats.

THE OFFICE (CH Link)

Thought this place was just ok but seemed fun. Many of the waitress' were dressed in office attire and sometimes they would get onstage to shuffle. Seems like the lines between waitress and dancer are blurred here. Quite a few bull dike waitress'.

MASH A GOGO (CH Link)

Small place, excellent DJ that plays some decent music different than the rest of the gogo bars..even some old school hip hop. Lots of expat looking blokes and average to below average looking girls.

SUGAR SUGAR (CH Link)

A lot of cute girls in the 7 range and always an 8 or two. Barfines seemed expensive for girls that were past their prime IMHO. Zero pressure for ladies drinks the 3 times I was there. Place seemed low key.

SUBMARINE A GOGO (CH Link)

This place is great. It was pouring and flooding out front and it was so weird going through the front hatch and actually going into a submarine essentially. They had three really hot young girls working there regularly. Girls are constantly in motion and they jump from small stage to small stage on high heels which is a neat trick. Girls were wild and friendly. Some serious dogs here also but the average age seemed to be 19 which I like as they have more energy and less inhibitions.

QUEENS A GOGO (CH Link)

This place is completely wild and entertaining. Girls swinging from rings completely naked...seems most of the girls nude actually. Lots of wild girls working here. Great music and sound system. Didn't see a barfineable girl though. Looked to be a great place to take a barfine to be entertained IMHO.

OBSERVATIONS ABOUT PATTAYA NOW

1. If you are a married guy and don't want to get caught, be careful about Walking Street. Armies of Indian and Arab guys and families taking videos and photos to show their friends back home of the places that they were not allowed to go into. I have seen them try to take photos and videos of me walking with my barfine and staring like starved wolves. Its disturbing and rude but they have no clue what is or is not appropriate. Now, everything seems public with higher end camera and video phones.

2. There is less variety in street food and it seems like they are condensing the vendors into several groups that keep having some of the same vendors now. Fruit cart, noodle cart, som tum and grilled meats. You see much less variation in unique dishes now and a lot fewer vendors being pushed out. Seems that Soi Post Office has the most variety and some amazing street food.

3. Soi 6 has horrendous talent during the day. Around 6-7, most of the hotter girls start arriving. Some real stunners at Soho which surprised me. Probably 30% ladyboys now on Soi 6.

4. As stated before, the average age of a monger is significantly less during the last two years. Facebook and the internet have overexposed Pattaya and that includes new mongers 18-23. Even when I first started as a guy 32 years old, I was considered a kid amongst men back then and now I would be considered on the older scale. Discos like Insomnia and Lucifer are discos full of young guys..really young, trying to score freebies with Thai girls who have already barfined or drunk or both. They have the right to monger like anyone else but I still don't understand why someone would take up such an addictive hobbie and bypass the best years to score hot girls your own age for free. I would say the average age of a monger in Pattaya is now a kid in his mid twenties or younger...large packs of them too. I am not bitter but those should know that we have serious competition now as the hot young girls in discos would obviously prefer a young studly guy.

5. There are so many locals and expats on motorbikes going 60mph down an alley now. You have to have your head on a swivel and drivers are more reckless in areas supposedly reserved for walking. It has become where you cannot even walk casually on Soi 6 any more without getting nearly clipped by a motorbike. I now walk against traffic so I can at least see them coming at me.

6. Best talent for me were at Happy, Supergirl, Baccarra, Iron Club, Whats UP, Sapphire and Farenheit.

7. Beers bars have the least amount of talent that I have seen in 12 years. Very tough to find a younger hot girl that hasn't been swooped up by an agency or working at a gogo bar. Hot girls are a commodity now. Sure there are plenty of guys who barfine girls who are a 6, use a nice SLR camera and suddenly the girl looks like an 8. Reality is very much different. There are also a lot fewer beer bars and Soi 8 is a shadow of its former self. The area of beer bars near the Soapy places on Pattaya 2nd road have nearly all disappeared due to construction.

8. Very strange to not see Mehkong "whiskey" in the bars any more. Sang Som is basically the same thing anyways but it is strange that few people drink local beer any more like before and rarely drink Thai whiskey/rum.

9. The Soapies have been taken over by armies of Indian men who hang out there all day. The lobbies now reek like hell. The talent at these places are not catered to these new clientele and the result is fat and old women. Long gone are the days of hot young girls working at Pattaya soapies. I went to 4 soapies and the average age of girls working is now around 32 and half of the girls are the size of farang women.

10. Food and hotels becoming cheaper but pussy becoming more expensive. Still spend less here than in Angeles City for some reason.

And the food and lodging is so much better in Pattaya, in my opinion.

If you are looking for a place to get your drink on before the hunt, try the Triangle bar.

Two for one all day and night til closing.

Trek

While I didn't really have much time to explore/hang in LK, it's going to be my home base in the evening when in Pattaya.

I agree on Pattaya mongers being younger, beer bars have tanked big time, and I also spend less in Pattaya vs AC (I drink far more/drink pressure much higher in AC).

However, I still find soi 6 my primary source of entertainment during the day. Granted they are not stunners, but decent enough looking to suck my sock and talented.

Re sam song, I rarely see anyone now or before drinking it in a bar - they can buy a whole bottle (750ml) for around 200 baht at the store. I often keep a bottle in my room for gals.

Went in to Happy-a-GoGo last night only because Blazers lauded it in an earlier chapter. Saw some nice bottoms, but that #3 is PERFECTION!! Wow! There would be just no possible way to improve her bottom. After I tipped her a few times, some other guys around the stage followed suit. (I also noticed far fewer tattoos than in recent years. I'm not into the truck driver" look.)

But after those dancers left the stage, they were replace by half a dozen less desirable ones. (We'll leave it at that because I don't want to say anything too mean.) If someone had walked in while they were on stage he would think that Blazers and I were crazy.

Blazer, I am just curious - I know Pattaya beats AC hands down from an accommodation perspective and is much nicer place to visit overall, but after AC do you ever find the more hardcore and touristy type of environment in Pattaya frustrating? My problem is that I love to visit Pattaya - don't care too much for BKK - but don't like all the hassle and BS of the girls. I do think Thai girls in general are much more beautiful, but then again I prefer a '5' that is GFE versus a '10' ice cube. I hate AC, but love the girls there. Do you ever feel that?

They are both good for different reasons. Gfe easy to find with stunners in Thailand. I am a sucker for a pretty face and pretty faces are rare in AC or Subic. I dont need a girl to go to the movies with and play pretend girlfriend. The Philippines is great because the girls dont use condoms...thats it! My perspective might be different because I speak Thai.

Under Observations I would have put that Pattaya is absolutely overrun by Russians during the high season (now through January). Substantially more than in recent years. It's like "Red Nightmare." I hear Russian in my sleep. A buddy of mine who lives in the area rented a place in Bangkok for the high season. (Sorry Blazers, I will put my own report up soon.)

I agree 100% Blazers and I only have a vocab of around 100 thai words, so that's not the limiting factor.
