Last Fling in Medellin?

I haven’t posted on CH in awhile, isn’t that I haven’t been travelling but I really haven’t been mongering that much because of medical problems, work hassles and other hiccups which have cramped my style a little also locally (South Africa) there has been no shortage of talent at reasonable prices. I have not been to Medellin in awhile and I must admit what I’m most looking forward to is a steak at Lenos & Carbon in the food hall in the Santa Fay shopping centre near el Mansion,

Sad but true its not that I'm not looking forward to the ladies, it’s just that it was a really good steak.

Bluelight will be there also, it’s his maiden trip to Medellin and we have been discussing it for quite a wile Last time I was in Medellin it was with a different bunch of guys and we had a really great time . After the hiccups that life has thrown me I could really do with a lost week and that is exactly what I was hoping for.

15/4 I woke at 5am in Connecticut and finished packing, the walk from where I was staying to the local station was only a few minutes so I walked over the weather was brisk and cold and I started looking forward to the warm of Colombia it was still dark but I was feeling good and really optimistic. The station was empty but the platform slowly filled with huddled dark shadows that shuffled onto the train when it arrived. I joined them and warmed up on the 5o minute ride into NY. From the train windows I saw the sun come up on another grey NY morning. It took about 50 minutes to get into New York and then there was a short walk across the platform and a 10 minute wait till 7am for the JFK airport bus, it was a 45 minute bus drive to the airport from Grand Central. JFK is still a disaster, long line everywhere. But there is construction everywhere so maybe they are working on improving things. Checked in at Copa desk there was a bit of a queue but it moved quickly and I thought I would have a little time to grab a quick bite of breakfast no such luck thanks to security. I had to hustle to get to the boarding gate. The plane took off on time, flying time to Panama 4h50. The plane was nice and seemed to be relatively new the air hostesses s were cute, generally friendly and the in-flight meat wasn't bad' but that might be because I was really hungry. The flight was a little choppy and I am not a good flyer, all of a sudden I was really looking forward to a massage at el Mansion. I wish I had time for a stopover in Panama , sadly not this time. The Airport in Panama has improved over the years and it’s a much more comfortable stopover then it use to be, but they really gouge you on food prices.

The flight to Medellin was just under an hour and also a bit bumpy, the airport is undergoing reservations and should be nice when it’s finished. Passport control took about 20 minutes and my bag was waiting when I got through to baggage claim, I was outside within a few minutes the driver was waiting and we where on our way. The drive into town was an education, this place is in a property boom of note with new construction going on everywhere. The drive in took a while the cost was $40 plus tip. Driver didn't speak a word of English. The check in was relatively painless, but then disaster hit, my mistake, I had reserved the wrong room! 9 instead of 10, I was down in the basement under the kitchen, tried to change it but no luck the place was relatively full. So I would spend the rest of the week in the cellar or hovel as I, not so fondly called it. So a quick ss&s (shit, shower and shave) and I headed down to the bar for a drink I was a little insulted when Boyd didn't recognise me but a quick clip to the head and his memory returned there where less than half a dozen girls in the bar, but most of the cuties where already taken .I had a few drinks hooked up with Bluelight and met the usual collection of guys that hanged out at Medellin Plaza (CH Link) (still think of it as the mansion) one guy had been in country for 42 days and there was a serene look of contentment on his face. We had a few drinks and court up with the local gossip then took a taxi down to the supermacado to get some provisions, Boyd came with us and was very helpful, by the time we where heading back I was beginning to hit the wall the guys had ordering pizza so I grabbed a slice or three and headed off to bed. I bombed out as soon as my head hit the pillow.

16/4 The room is noisy so didn't sleep that well went up stair the room was right under the kitchen the staff was new and didn’t know how to fry an egg so I .made my own breakfast waited for Boyd to go to Centro he cancelled, which screwed up my morning plans. We had waited to long to head into Centro now so we headed of to lunch at Lenos at the mall and then back to hotel nap to make up for my lost sleep the night before. I was hoping to hit a few clubs but since they have their own bar (CH Link) now the staff was less then useless and tried to put the fear of god into everyone, the clubs that use to be their bread and butter where now death pits and horrors to be avoided, I was getting a little pissed off the Plaza was not the Mansion of memory. So we headed out to dinner at a near by restaurant. Taxis are cheap it cost less them P $5000 each way. After dinner I went down to the bar at the hotel the selection was truly pitiful I don’t like travelling without a wingman or I would have headed out, also it was getting late. So far this trip was really disappointing.

17/4 made my own breakfast, this time Boyd did turn up, if a little late and we headed off to Centro. On the way there Boyd was eager to get one point across, no girls are banned from the Plaza and that the ladies who claim they are, are lying and trying to garner sympathy from gullible punters. We visited Zandalay (CH Link) first were I sessioned with Niccolite, the session was very vanilla but hit all the bases and at ¥32000 plus tip who can complain? Then onto New Life (CH Link) were there was an excellent selection and another smaller place with a very small and mediocre selection, should have had my second dip at New Life. It was almost lunch time so the three of us headed of to Lenos again for a great steak and then back to hotel to catch up on work and do the email thing. I then went for a long walk around the neighbourhood then I got back there was a lovely young lady sitting at the entrance about to call a cab, we chatted for a wile and she seemed to have great attitude so for P$150000 I decided to buy an hour or two of her time, Once in the room the enthusiasm seemed to evaporate and she was all business. It might sound a little mercenary but the value just wasn’t there. Maybe if I had a nicer room or stocked up the bar in the room things would have gone a little better. That’s not to say she didn’t cover all the bases, she did, but she had her eye on the door half the time and was texting on her cell every chance she got, not exactly an inspired session. I still gave her a P$20000 tip but she left she tried to hit me up for some more cash, told her no. She wasn’t a happy camper when she left. Can’t remember her name...really don’t need to. Over the remainder of my stay never saw her again.

18/4 woke up at 8, earplugs and blindfold worked, I actually got ok nights sleep, if you book room 9 I recommend a good pair of earplugs and one of those blindfolds they give you on the plane if you want any sleep at all. Took a long walk the city is interesting and safe, bought some avocados from a street vendor, had half of one for breakfast it was really good. Then hooked up with some fellow travellers and took a taxi to visited the Musio D Antioquia, Situated on a really cool plaza, this museum has an extensive collection of art by Botero , It is also a great ground zero for checking out the city and its close to the Metro and some really cool street markets. Watching the girls go by wile sitting on the steps can be an uplifting experience all on its own.

After the museum we headed over to New Life were I hooked up with Wendy, the coolest session this trip by far no complaints except she wouldn’t let me take her photo , she was seriously cute and really my taste, she gave a great session for P$50 000 + tip she was a great time and a great deal. We then took the metro up the hill to the library. The area around the library is clean safe and interesting, with some great roadside food stalls. Then we took the metro back to a stop near the hotel > It was a little too far to walk so we taxied to mall Santa Faye for dinner, walked back to hotel. Chilled out for an hour. Headed to the bar, no real talent tried to talk some of the guys into hitting a few clubs there was no interest.

19.4 The weather was crap overcast and drizzling decided to head back to Centro and went looking for Wendy she wasn’t working. There were no great girls so I moved onto Zanday and hooked up with Vicky(?), ok session but no GFE . Had a bite to eat did the tourist thing and then headed back to the Hotel, After catching up on work I went down to the bar, one of the girls came over she seemed very sweet bought her a few drinks, was this the GFE I had been looking for? Nope, as soon as we sat down she started the texting thing on her phone after about a half an hour, I was sick of it, so I told her I wasn’t interested she shrugged swore under her breath and headed off. The night was a wash so I headed off to bed.

20/4 after another less then great nights sleep I caught up on emails while waiting for Boyd to turn up for another Centro run, once again he faded so I went on line and got the addresses of a few places in Centro most were pretty useless or it was a little to early in the day for them landed up at New Life again this time sessioned with Vanessa, she was really great spent about two hours with her, she was the best time I had had since getting to Medellin. Got her details planned on calling her the next day, I was a happy camper. Spent the day doing the tourist thing then headed back to the hotel had a nap. Asked the receptionist were the best restaurant in Medellin following her advice headed of to dinner at la Forno across the street from hooters, the food was better then ok but not great, that was nice was that they had English menus, there was some boxing thing on so we went over to hooters to watch it, the place is crap and uncomfortable so it was back to the hotel bar , I’m not much of a boxing fan and the 2 drunk girls swaying half asleep in the back held no interest for me so it was another disappointing night at the Plaza.

21/4 Gave Vanessa’s details to the receptionist asked her to make a date for me in the late afternoon into the evening then headed out to do some shopping. We went to a long market street near plaza Bolivia plaza cool stuff but mostly closed on Sunday. As it was my last day in Medellin and it was a Sunday lunch as per tradition with Bluelight was at McDonald s. I then headed back to hotel to throw up and hook up with Vanessa, I thought everything had been arranged but there was some cock-up and the Plaza staff played dumb and tried to push me into picking one of their “regulars” I was just plain pissed of. Isn’t it amazing that staff who previously spoke fluent English goes dumb then they are fucking you around? Dinner was at la Forno again, after dinner we walked back to the hotel. I was in a foul mood about events and the more I thought about it the more I was convinced that the staff get some kind of kickback from a few select girls, I was also thinking about what Boyd said about no girls being banned from the Plaza.

22/4 Last day in country, went shopping, landed up at El Pueblito Paisa, if your looking for a cheap place to pick up some tourist gifts this is the places it also has great views of the city. After a days shopping and touring I headed back to hotel where I had booked a massage with Olga. She still gives a great massage but I didn’t indulge in any of her extras quick ss&s and I was ready to head out to the airport, I got in early so after a little running around, they put me on an earlier flight to Bogata. The flight was 25 min from Medellin to Bogata but it took 35 minutes to get off the plane and then we had to take a bus to the terminal, another bus to the international terminal, the checks where relatively quick and painless, walked through duty free and did a little shopping to get rid of the last of my pesos then headed over to the lounge to grab some free eats before the flight to NY. The flight was about 8 hours I was business class on Avianca, it was great with fully reclining seats I slept most of the 8 hour flight away.

Some last minute thoughts on Hotel Medellin Plaza...or RIP el Mansion.

Most of us know why the Mansion went through some drastic changes, but for the uninitiated a while back there was a major break in at the place the rooms and guests where robbed so understandably there have been some changes and for me, they have not been for the better.

In the old days girls could just turn up and there where always a nice selection and a nice buzz about the place, now the girls are by invitation only, so you order your company the same way you order your greasy chicken of Domino’s take out. I’m really not into that.

Another change is previously there use to be daily trips into Centro or other areas to visit clubs, it now seems that the owners are trying to drive business to the hotel. The whole time I was there Boyd arranged one trip to Centro and then did a disappearing act. Robert the other in resident owner is involved in other business and although he is still a great guy really friendly and helpful, he is not exactly hands on with the guests any more.

The hotel has opened a bar, this should be a good thing, it isn’t because all of a sudden the evening outings are a thing of the past and actively discouraged. You can see their point, the owners want you to spend your cash with them so why would they arrange outings? Sadly the bar is no club and the few, very few girls that hang out there are leftovers from some guests “order”.

The Sunday pool parties that use to be such fun are sadly a thing of the past and without them Sundays in Medellin can be boring.

There is a strong faction of regulars, normally older guys who come down for months at a time who are calling the shots, they select the girls who are invited and seem to dictate policy in other ways. I get it, these gusts are a large part of the places revenue but it can be disconcerting. It also means that its hard to arrange a group to head out and enjoy the city, These guys, or at leased the ones I met, seem set in their ways are not interested in doing much beside ordering in...pretty much everything.

All in all if you’re a first time player, with limited Spanish visiting I still recommend the Medellin Plaza for your first trip. If you want to camp out like a couch potato and have your girls served up like a KFC and have no interest in the city or anything outside the front door then new improved Medellin Plaza is just the place for you.

I don’t know if I’ll be back to Medellin any time soon, I’m overdue for a trip to SEA and I think if I was to visit Colombia again I would try Cali or hit Cartagena again.

Amigo, I've been struggling my a trip report since being back. It was my first trip to Medellin, my expectations were from this site. Sadly the image formed from CH is not reality. I think you nailed it, the hotel knows their customer and has changed things for those customers. It's not Rio, how anyone could suggest it is a replacement for Rio is beyond me.

One of the really strange things I noticed was I didn't meet one person who was a member here at Club Hombre. Most never even heard of Club Hombre. This is a first for me in my travels. I think that says everything about who the customer is at the Hotel. It's really not us.

The Mansion has been overrun by guys from the CRT site for a few years now, a bunch of ex-Costa Rica guys.

Infacticide you are correct, alway everyone was a regular at CR or DR. A couple had been to Rio or SEA but not many. None had been to a Mexico border town either.

When I was there in December, there were a lot of Mansion regulars there.

There was never alot of girls there and I didn't partake of any of them.

Some guys there never left the house except to go to the mall
It was my newbie trip. I enjoyed the location, but I went and hunted my own girls.

Spent a lot of time in Mayorista and Central, day and night and never felt threatened.
Met some none mansion guys there that knew the city who showed me the ropes.

I would stay at the Mansion again especially for the convenience, but I still would do my own thing.

In LOS now, trying to decide to do a TR.

Hmm. I was a little concerned about the bar when it went in. I was hoping it was going to be a guy's bar, sports on TV and hookers for half time, that eliminated the need to go to buy beer.

Instead it's focused on buying a bottle and typically two girls will surround you and drink it all away in 20 minutes. I miss the poolside setting and here and there a girl will ask for beer, a few guys would get a few bottles and share.

I think the real hang up is 150,000 pesos for starters for a session. It's significant enough that you don't want to choose anyone just on looks and with more than 5 girls in the place being a rarity, it can make things less exciting than the pictures make them seem. That and the constant drama and gossip over who got charged what for the party and it's really not the recipe for a good trip.

To have a good time there, you really need to go when there's a party, like fourth of July or Halloween and there's actually lots of girls present or bring your own group of guys and well, dominate the place. My last trip I met a guy who had done extensive facebook networking and was lining up dates the whole time he was there. Being at the mansion he wasn't going to be judged for having girls there and it seems like most girls are moving to this format too. For me, I like to feel out a girl's vibe as looks alone can't make a good session.

The whole point to the mansion as I see it, is to have girls on tap who will all do BBBJ/CIM without having to go all over town looking for them. What happens though is you end up picking a certain one and wait forever for her to show and IME few girls are really worth waiting around for. Or you choose from a very limited albeit it attractive selection that happens to be around. I have to say I enjoyed meeting other people to roll with out on the town and the fact that you're not going to be judged bringing girls back there. But besides those two qualities...the mansion is been there 4x, done that, too pricey to be back soon.

sounds like the mansion owners have branched out with this bar and the new enterprise and don't much give a shit that the old days are gone in terms of the way the Mansion and Castillo were. they've got tons of regulars from CRT (something that Boyd and Robert know that I helped with back in '07 or so).

Haven't been back in 4 years and to be honest, I don't miss it. Oh sure, those Calle 53 and Mayorista killers can't be replaced. But the Raymond and Santos street girls take care of me just fine and at $25 oer. 150000 Mansion girls + tip and taxi? Fuck that. I can get a Walking Street goddess for less for the same ST.

I'll go back again some day, but it'll never be '07 again.

NW, if I may add my two cents on this topic.

I'm just so glad I did have the feeling one gets from visiting Pattaya for the first time up until about the 10th.

Most men will never get that chance, having married too young or not getting divorced when it's clear their marriage is hell.

There's really no need for me to recreate that first time thrill as I'm not suffering a nagging wife and thinking I should have gone out more often. I could go out tonight if I want, but I'm saving cash for my next trip, so I'm content to ramble on CH for now.

For those expecting a Rio-type experience in Medellin, you likely won't get it (whether you stay at the Mansion or elsewhere). IMO nothing in the Western Hemisphere compares to Rio.

Having said that, Medellin is a much easier trip from the US. and is (still) much less expensive than Brasil. I visited three times this past Winter and enjoyed myself each time. I speak decent Spanish, but I still like staying at the Mansion for the camaraderie with fellow mongers. There were plenty of girls hanging out at the Mansion on my visits and the weather was spectacular. And when I felt like mixing it up, I headed downtown to the Casas or to a Club in the evening.

I think for most mongers, MDE is still a solid destination.

I've never paid more than 150K for a Mansion girl and I've generally gotten very good service from them (though no anal like in Rio). I don't know why you think you need to tip them or pay for their taxi. I'm sure they're happy to take it, but it's not necessary.

Due to economic conditions I have not had a trip ( other then family ) in almost 3 years now... 2014 my wife will give me a furlough...

I've been struggling with a trip report on this and just can't make one. But I do have experiences to share. Since I was the wing man with Isawal and this trip was my doing I'm just going to add to this report.

The two biggest misconspections I had of Hotel Medellin Plaza and the chica's of Medellin are the Hotel is like a Terma and the chica's have garota-like skills. Neither one is even close. Each day a number of chica's are invited to visit the Hotel, I don't know if they are given a time or not since there didn't seem to be pattern as to when they arrive or leave. Once they get there, they sign in with security. They are allowed to hang out at the pool until 6 or 7pm, then they have to move to the bar in the basement. Most of the chica's are 18-20 with a couple in their mid-20s. About 1/2 have kids. The lowest turnout was 2 girls on Tuesday and the most was 12 or so on Thursday. In the 8 days I was there, I saw the same girl there 4 days, a 4-8 were there 3 days, about 10 were there 2 days, and many were invited or showed up only 1 day. So the varity was great. I was told the current regular guest like different girls each day so they try hard to have big turn over. I was told any girl could be invited if you asked. This didn't work so well for Isawal.

The chica's work effort is very much like the strippers in Mexico. When they are broke they show up and hang around until the last possible minute. Like the Mexicans, very few will approach you. Most just sit there texting on their phone. I can remember only 2 introducing themself. Most of the time there is no conversations between the guys and chica's. The chica's will answer a direct question but usually they just talk to each other or text on their cell phone. (Ladie from Bwana's 6/11 report did this to everyone who tried to talk to her. I never saw anyone session with her. I had her on my to-do list but couldn't get to say anything.) The other different thing about these chica's is they love their weed and drinking. I don't really like hiring someone that's stoned or 1/2 bagged to please me, but that seems to be the norm at the hotel. One night, I select one of Cubanut's photo girls. There was no highlights to this night, she spent more time in the bathroom puking and snoring coke then she did in the bed. After 3 trips to the bathroom I told her to leave. I couldn't even imagine this with a terma girl.

The best story of the week was about the 7" tablet I brought along with me to give/trade with a chica. The first day I was there, I session with a new girl it was her first day at the hotel. She looking at the table like she wanted it. So I asked her, she said yes. I told her it was a present for the first chica I had anal with. She said no. I never mentioned the tablet to anyone else. Saturday night, I was sitting in the basement bar and this chica sits down next to me. She didn't say anything just sits there. I introduce myself and she responded. She asked if I still had a tablet. I said yes. Then she asked if it was a present for someone? I said maybe. This brought a frown to her face. She proceeded to tell me that the girls knew I offered the tablet to the first completa session. She was there to collect the tablet. The chica network works in Medellin also. Of the 5 different chica's from the Hotel, 2 were completa and 3 weren't.

So we have a limited number of chica's available each day, 1/2 of the guests staying at the hotel are there for weeks at a time. They know who is good and who isn't. It seems to me that once a solid performer is found, she gets snapped up on a daily deal for the length of the stay. When that guy leaves, someone else snaps her up. I saw some smoking hot chica's at the hotel but they always were with someone. The odds are really stacked against the short time visitor to the hotel. For me, I liked my trip to Medellin. I would go back and I would stay at the Hotel. But this isn't Rio and the hotel isn't a terma. These chica's are very inexperienced, there is no performance standards, there isn't much difference between them and the average college age girl found here in the states, and I believe the high-performers are not available. I will do things different on the next trip. I would really work hard to find that 1 high performer and lock her up early in the trip. I would spend more time outside of the Hotel looking for her.

Wow Bluelight. In 8 trips to MDE, I've never had a completa chica.
I've never really pushed the issue, but in Rio, about every other GDP was up for it.

On my Mansion visits, I've always found the girls at the pool and now at the bar downstaris to be quite sociable if you're able to break the ice with them. Alot of guests don't speak Spanish so I think the girls are not really accustomed to chatting with us, but if you speak Spanish, they will generally be sociable. It's just that that is not their expectation.

It seems the Rio vets (including myself) are generally pretty hard on other places.

Iawal I want to thank you for the SA reports. They came in handy while in Durbin and Jberg. Although SA is such an overwelming place for mongers not much help is needed. I spent every morning by going to a taxi and asking to be taken to a whorehouse. What a great stay...first customer.

Elgrancombo, I never brought the completa thing up until after the deal was struck and we were in the room. I would lay the agreed upon money down on the desk and ask how much more for completa. 3 said no flat out, 1 said a little more, and 1 one found me in the bar.

As for the conversation thing, my spanish is as good as anyone else's sitting around the pool. Easily good enough to carry a conversation, I just wasn't as interesting as their cell phones.

The cell phone thing interrupted one session, someone can help me the chica's name, she is the 18 yro that worked the streets since she was 14. Great tight little body. Everyone says she is great. Well we went the room one afternoon, she stripped and started dancing on the bed in front of the mirror. Then she came over and ripped off my clothes, I was thinking this girl is good. Once on the bed, her cell phone started going off. She picks it up and reads the text, looks at me and says I don't want to do this. She gets up, gets dressed and leaves. She stopped at the pool for a 1 minute or 2 then leaves. She was back the next night but wouldn't talk to me.

Also I've been thinking about this today, I think there are some really talented chica's at the Hotel. The trick is to find them. I regret not sessioning with the tall moreno with braces, I had 2 chances but we didn't just click at the pool. The last night a little blond chica showed up wearing shorts and V-neck sweat suit. She was hot, she was really good also. I wish I could remember her name. I wish I had met her the first night I was there.

Bluelight -- I'm like you, I rarely remember their names, unless they are a really popular girl that lots of guys talk about. And in that case, I usually stay away from them anyway.

18 year-old girls the World over can't stop looking at their cell phones. But that's pretty bizarre that she would just leave like that.
Maybe she saw your equipment and was intimidated.

I think that's the main point. Medellin was fun to visit, but the sex was variable often times with days between good sessions. Snapping up a keeper would be the way to go, but also pretty expensive. I think living there would be awesome sampling girls until one clicks and then seeing her all the time for a month and then moving on.

I think that the place has changed and not for the better it’s a pity that Bluelight never saw it in its heyday, it was never Rio but it had a charisma that was all it’s own.

They have overreacted to the robbery and the new systems they have must make being there pretty unpleasant for the girls, and it shows. I also miss Aussy Greg, he always kept things interesting.

I also agree that a little bit of Spanish goes a long way in having a fun time , but that is pretty much true of most places in South America...that’s why you should come to South Africa were we have 9 official languages but everyone speaks English

That he did, but not always in a good way. The majority of the times I've seen Greg, he's been stinking drunk and either obnoxious as hell or spoiling for a fight. He could be funny, but more often he was a colossal dick.

I'm saddened to read of the changes. Hanging out by the pool with the chicas, or making runs to centro with Boyd were the major attractions

Afraid I have no news on AC. This year I've been to LOS and Rio multiple times, but no AC trips.

I hope you can locate Rhiza again. She was the best LBFM I've ever had.

As far as mansion charisma goes I think it's best experienced during a party. I've been there for 4th of July and Halloween and both parties, while expensive were pretty damn good, but too short. That's when lots of girls show up too. My theory on this is that part of your party fees go towards taxi money for the girls so it's no risk for them to show up and they'll enjoy free food and booze the whole while even if they're not picked. I don't know if the taxi money is true or not, but it would be a good idea anyway, so girls don't hesitate to show up.

All that said I don't think the mansion is dead, it's just that it does get caught in a rut. It can't be an easy operation to run as the snapping up girls thing works the other way in that if girls think the current set of guys in the place have already made there trip decisions for bed mates then why show up?

The robbery isn't the issue with girls signing in either. After the mariachi band at 3 AM incident the police had a meeting with Gregg and staff and that same day the girls had to sign in with ID as "invitees of hotel guests." That was the worst I've seen it in terms of girl numbers but going out to other venues made up for it.

Long story short, you have to get out and about in Medellin. The mansion is great for meeting guys to hang our with and there's some MDE vets who can show you around the city. Sometimes it's rich for girls, sometimes not but it's always more expensive for sessioning than most venues in town which leads to excessive budget monitoring and for me that can leave a bad taste in my mouth.

It's really not surprising that once the CRT crew moved in, the place went to shit. It's something about that clique that makes them a permanent amateur hour. They're like retirees, sitting in a chair in the corner of the nursing home all day, that someone needs to come by every once in a while and remind them to take their pill and eat their jello. They seem to have no ability to actually do anything on their own, and they have no problem paying top dollar for mediocre service. They're pretty pathetic for the most part, and mongers of the lowest order.

I agree on the Mansion being at it's best for the big parties. I was there for 4th of July in 2011 and it was a blast, and not really all that expensive. I'm curious as to whether the parties are still happening in the same way, or whether all the action is being pushed towards the bar.

Tell us how you really feel about those CRT guys! LOL! Actually, while I would not be quite as brutal as you, there's a great deal of truth in your characterization of many of them. Many seemed to prefer to sit around and talk of their glory years and the conquests of old to actually fucking the hotties around the pool. It was like a scene out of a bad high school reunion.

Dino used to run mini-tours for CRT guys in Rio. I haven't seen them around in several years - not that I'm there a lot these days myself. But, it was almost funny to watch. If one of them went to the back bar at 4x4, they all did. If one went to the relax room at Luomo, they all did. I was in the relax/shower/sauna room at 4x4 and four of them walked in. One of the guys went 'I think I'll try the steam room." Sure enough, the other three dropped their undies and went in the steam sauna with him. At Monte Carlo, a bunch were sitting around. One guy handed his key to a garota and headed to the stairs. Within a minute, the other 2 grabbed fairly random garotas and headed upstairs too. It was like they were afraid to be apart from one another, and this was 3-4 different groups that I saw over a couple of years.

"free food and booze" I don't remember when there wasn't free food and booze the whole time I was there. Everyday, a bottle or two was uncapped at the pool. The regulars ordered in food everynight and I don't remember any of the chica's being turned away. Taxis are $10k pesos to get anywhere, hardly a big risk for them getting there. Weed and texting seemed to be more important then money.

Could someone explain why everyone wants to gets these chica's drunk? You're paying them to perform, how does booze help?

Bwana I was there for 4th of July 2012 party which was actually held the weekend prior to the 4th. The bar just got finished that day and I watched Spain win the Euro cup as some Paisas were putting finishing touches up in the bar. When I got upstairs to the patio the party was in full swing and many of the guys who were there for Halloween 2011 were up there so it was a friendly reunion of sorts and there were at least 20 girls on hand. To me that's what makes it worth staying there although those days are the exception and the downsides mentioned by others are certainly valid.

I think the drinking is sort of a GFE thing. Guys there aren't looking for a straight up wham bam experience per se. I'm not saying it's good, in fact if girls show up for free pot and booze rather than to please the guests for money, they can and do get spoiled. But on the other hand if one is so unpersonable as to treat the entire mongering experience as a 100% business deal, I think he's writing a script for lousy service. You have to establish what will happen and for how much and then go with the flow IMO.

I've never been to Costa Rica, but if Medellin is so much better as everyone says I'm not in a rush to go. The few CRT guys I've met do fit the rep mentioned above and

Regardless of the analysis or theories of how it happens the parties simply attract many more chicas than an average day and people who haven't been to the mansion before or haven't been there for one of the parties would certainly do better to take a trip to the mansion to coincide with super bowl, 4th of July of Halloween parties. IME that is when the pickings and atmosphere are best.

But, because of the tenuous situation with the neighborhood and the police Greg usually pulls the plug by 8 PM. Robert started up an after party up at Castillo which was fun and I'm still kicking myself for not taking Juliette back down the hill with me. I already got laid that day and I was drunkenly content at the time and headed back to room 3 for some aspirin and water.

So summing it up I think for a short time visitor the best way to go if you're thinking about staying at the mansion is to go around the time of a mansion party.

Hope you had some fun. In regards to the medical problems hope that is doing better. Some of us here know exactly what you mean in that regard. Just do what your doctor tells you exactly and live as healthy a lifestyle as possible. For myself, I really increased my activity in the last year and watch exactly what I eat going over and above the doctor's suggestions.

I have been to the mansion 3 times in the last 8 months and will be there again in Sept.
Been going there for about 5 years. Yes it has changed but I still have an awesome time there. I tend to make my own fun happen. Actually think the girls hanging around are much better than 5 years ago.

I agree. Admittedly, it's not as wild as it was a few years back. OTOH some things are better. La Cueva IMO has been a fantastic addition. Pretty seemless experience with the girls outside til 5 or so then moving things indoors to la Cueva.
