It has been over 18 months since Luomo has shut its doors and I have to say that it still makes me sad. Here are some of the many reasons that I miss that place.
Luomo was one of the throwback termas and the girls had to wear costumes that we are defined by the hosue. At this point, I think that Centaurus is the only one that has the girls wear the costumes. This is a thing that is unique to Rio since in Sao Paulo none of the houses have a costume. It was always fun to see when the costumes changes and how the new ones accentuated the figures of your favorite garota.
Luomo also had a decent buffet so if you were torn on whether to eat or monger, you could have it all at Luomo. It was just the standard fare, but I always appreciated the effort and if you are starving after a session, it certainly would hit the spot. Aside from the buffet, the menu at Luomo was surprisingly good and they served the beef in wine sauce and also Frango Passarinho one of my favorites.
There were times that the music was too loud, and also at times they had a lot of American music, but quite often the entire focus would be Brazilian pop music and I probably learned more about Brazilian music from Luomo than any other locale terma or not.
Luomo was always reasonably priced even at the very end. Aside from 4X4, which is defintely a step down in the quality of the facility, Luomo was the least expensive of the tier 1 termas.
Luomo was situated all one floor. This just makes it a little more convenient particularly if you have drank a few.
Which brings me to the last point. Luomo was just a great place to hang out with a lot of very attractive girls. It was always like a party with lots of the girls dancing with the patrons and quite often drinking to excess.
It was a great run and I am sad to see it end.

I loved the fact that L'uomo was located in a regular mall. Loved the walk over there from a beach hotel. Plus it was my first terma.

I agree on all points except maybe the cost near the end of their run. I really miss that place big time.

I loved walking past the church that was located at the top of the escalator near L. They had their place of worship, and I had mine.
The majority of my favorite termas memories took place at L. It was my "Cheers."

Yeah, makes me sad also.
I still look up the Facebook pages of some of the girls just to see how they are doing.

Beefjerky1, do you have the facebook page of the Queen of Luomos? Ingrid!

No, I dont, Thumper. I wish I did. I didnt really know her well. Only once biblically.
Gibletpie seems to have known her pretty well. maybe he could help.
Also, while most of the girls readily adopted Facebook some do not have an online presence at all, including my favorite from 4x4 ![]()

My second terma ever was Luomo. It was a Mother's Day and it was the only one open in 2003. That's another reason to miss Luomo. They were open more days a year and on more holidays than any other terma.
Luomo was also open on Sundays something that doesn't happen any more.
The showers in Luomo were excellent.

My first trip to Rio: for the first 4 days, the only place I showered, shaved, and ate was at Luomo! It was definitely my favorite termas.

Luomo was my first termas ever. First garota was the famous Camilla. The girls there were so friendly it almost felt like family. I felt like everybody knew me and welcomed me, even girls I never sessioned with. It was a great place to kick back relax, have a couple beers, chat with friends, flirt with a bunch of girls and then finally take one to the cabine. 4 X 4 just doesnt have the same ambience.
