Just a short trip report on Panama.

Panama city, Panama is such a well known place so not much to report. I have made quick 7 days trip in April. Most of MP is same except Acuarius on Galeria Alvear is now Taekwondo Gym. But the down stair River Club is still there. Carribean, Hawaii, Oasis, Royal Elegance, Golden Time is still there as well. There is new Bar/Room place next to Oasis. It is similar to Miami Club.

Your best bet for Colombian is still Havano in front of Marriot Hotel or Calle Uruguay. Also the Veneto Hotel of course. At around 5:30pm, girls who want to get in to the Veneto hotel now lines up at the back door cross the Hotel Panama. It reminds me Moscow or China KTV lineup. Go there at 6:00pm and you can see at least 30 girls all lined up. A great chance to talk to them and get a phone number to do WHATAPP to call them to your room later on. Price is still same. Now all of them ask for 150 but quickly come down to 100. Some might even do for 80 on a slow night or early day before 7pm when the Hotel let them to get in.

Right around corner of Havano (next to the jewelry shop), there is a quick hotel ($20 for a hour) if you don't want to take the girl to your hotel room.

Try not to do anything close to Veneto hotel (such as massage or eat) since there are usually over priced and the service sucked. Just walk few blocks (for example; via Argentina) and you get much better deal on all things.

Of course Manolo Restaurant cross the Veneto is still a good restaurant but for the same money you can go to Lenos & Carbon in El Dorado and get better steak and seafood. Besides, Golden Times is 5 minute walk from Lenos & Carbon in El Dorado.

Same goes for the Sushi, go to Sushi Express at El Dorado instead of Sushi in Veneto and you pay less for far better food.

These days WHATSAPP plays such a important role in meeting up with girls so get your smartphone ready with Whatsapp, get a sim card, buy a recharge card, sign up for data plan. (You can do all this at the airport once you exit the gate before you hit the custom) You will barely use the phone to actually call anyone. All communication is now done by Whatsapp.

Wow, I'm surprised Royal Elegance is around. Did you visit? I'm curious as to whether they had a decent selection. Which places did you like besides Havana?

Great info on the short time hotel and food tips. I had some great meals on Via Argentina. I'll need to check out Lenos & Carbon and Sushi Express next visit.

How much did you pay in total for the sim card, recharge card, and data plan?

Yes, I went to Royal Elegance once. I like this place because I can find good Panama girl there. (Too many colombian in Panama these days!) The selection are not good but at least you can find Panama girl and they are very friendly. A real GF service.

Besides Havana, I enjoyed getting girls from Veneto. For some reason, there are more unknown city (to me anyway) Colombian girls there then before. Before they were always from Medellin or Cali but now they are from other small cities of Colombia and I think because of that the girls service has been improved. There are less pro like. SIM card only cost $5 that already include some money to spend. Then buy $5 recharge and sing up for Data plan $1.99 for 1 day or $4.99 for 4 days.

I also bought $5 recharge card and save the number in my phone when I left. This way when I go there next time, I can refill when I am landed. Then I am all good to go and already writing to girls in Whatsapp for date line ups.

Also check out the Airbnb site for cheap apartment rental near Veneto Hotel. Veneto hotel is old now and over priced. And some hotels in the area are not girl friendly but if you rent a apartment then you are good to go. They even have washer/dryer, kitchen, wi-fi.

That's an interesting observation about the Colombians. The ones in Panama were starting to get a bad rep by some, although I seemed to mostly find good ones. Hopefully I'll find some good ones my next trip there. At $100 a pop, it is more expensive with fewer ladies than in Colombia, though.

Also interesting that you found a Peruvian. I don't recall ever finding one outside of Peru. That's another place I need to revisit.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Club Capri. Have you been there? It's typically been the best value in terms of price/selection. It's near the Do It Center on Via Espana. When you say "Capri", make sure you stress the first syllable, otherwise the cab driver might get confused. When you say it correctly, it should rhyme with "happy".

Maybe the Lima girl didn't want to hook so close to home. That's why some Paisas go to Bogota and vice versa. I know a few girls who go to Lima for 3 months at a clip - then come back with their pockets full of soles and their pussies throbbing - servicing up to 20 guys a day. But then they take the next three months off.

First time I went to Lima, I had such a good time. They certainly not as pretty as Colombian but generally all of them were sweet. Some Colombian can be nasty and aggressive, specially when they can not come to an agreement on what you can offer them. So it made me to go back to Lima few more times. The seafood was excellent near Mira Flores and the I loved their Ceviche.

Now, even in those years, I never had Colombian and Peruvian side by side although my trip usually made me go through Panama or Colombia on the way to Peru. This time, I could really compare them side by side and it was interesting. Let me just say, it was better when I could have all those selections and variety.

That Lima girl (Joana) had nice clean body and certainly had different attitude. I just can't explain what it is. She certainly took more time although all these Colombian girls (who came from small cities unknown to me) did not rush either.

Joana even asked me if she should go when I finished once, which is different from the usual Colombian who will get ready to leave once the deed is done. I end up doing 2nd round with Joana and she didnt ask for more money. I wanted to take her to dinner or something the next day but I was busy chasing other Chicas. If I had more days, I would certainly have called her again.

If this is not isolated incident but what Panama offers now, I may plan to go to Panama more often.

Just got back from a couple weeks in Panama.
I have been to Medellin also and for some reason, I like Panama more even though it's more expensive. I just seem to enjoy myself more. Don't know why.
Maybe I need to try other parts of Colombia like Cali and see if My opinion changes.

Hi Intoch, great info. I'm going to Panama City (El Cangrejo) for the first time for 10 days over New Years. I've been to Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, etc many times and always rent a phone. I've never done the SIM card thing. Once I replace the SIM card my old phone number won't work, correct? So I'd have to keep switching them in and out correct? Sorry, if that's a dumb ass question. Appreciate your advice.

Yes...while you have a Panama sim chip in your phone you won't be able to use your US number. You may find it cheaper to make long-distance calls using the Panama chip than reinserting the US chip and using it to call to the States. The major US providers rob you blind on international roaming.

Be sure your US provider has unlocked your phone, or you won't be able to use local sim cards.

Bwana, I've been talking to friends about WHATAPP
and many of them use it to text friends around the world for free (since it's internet texting).
Why then would I need to put in a new sim chip at all? Why not just add the app? I'm not concerned about cost of international roaming. It's a company phone and they choose the plan depending on where I'm going. Unfortunately, I always end up working a bit where ever go.

I also use Whatsapp, Line, and Viber (for girls all over the world), but you either need wi-fi access to use it or a sim card and a phone plan with data access. If you're wandering around a town with little free wi-fi access, you'll probably want a sim card for both making calls and using those apps.

I'm a novice and going to Panama late November. Any members be in the area during that period?
