China. How I have missed you but you have changed¡¦
It¡¯s been almost 6 years since my last trip to China. I enjoyed coming to Changping, Changan, Zuhai very much from 2006, so I was quite excited to go back. But it quickly became a disaster that I have never encountered in my mongering trips. According to my local friend, China is in the process of cleaning up the whole country.

Here is the situation. All, I mean ALL, KTVs, Saunas are closed. No mamasan to be found on the street. In fact, in seems the whole town lacks female presence. You can still find some working girls, mainly using WeChat App (in my previous PANAMA report, I reported that WhatsApp was the primary communication tool with girls. In China, it is WeChat). They are really expensive. Naturally all Hong Kong mongering guys are gone so all other business is suffering and often time I see a store putting up a candle even though there is an electricity, just to save some electric bill. Many hotel expansions have stopped in the middle of construction and many businesses are closed.

Here is a quick comparison.
5 Years ago: KTV (Drink 1000, Girl 500 ST, 800 LT, hundreds of girl choices), Street Girl (100 ST, 500 LT), Sauna 500,
Now: KTV (Drink 2000, Girl N/A), Street Girl (1100 ST, 1600 LT), Sauna girl N/A.

Even a foot massage price went up to 300 for an hour. That is crazy. I mean my Chinese foot massage place back in New York is cheaper than that. Food, Hotel.. all expensive because of price increase, not to mention the exchange ratio is now 6.23 down from 7.80 old days.

Macau: Things are better here but what was expensive then, is more expensive now.

Lisboa walker (old days 800 ST, now 1500 ST), Street Girl (500 then, 1000 to 1500 now), Darling 2 charges 1100 and have only Vietnam girls, VIP charges 700 and have Chinese and Vietnam girls, Hot Spot is closed. Playboy club near Guia hotel has Russian, Indian, Thai, Malaysian girls and charge 1700. This place used to be slow and charge 800 to 1000 depends on the girls but now is packed with Chinese and Hong Kong guys.

I'm not at all surprised to read any of this. I had previously read about massive crackdowns in Changping. It's sad to see a once fun place fall into ruin, but CP got written off my list after my last trip there in early 2011. I had a miserable time and haven't been back since.

And given the boom in Macau, I've been afraid to even venture there for mongering. A 1000 or more for streetwalkers? Wow. Sad to see Hot Spot is closed; I have many fond memories of that place.
