For those with a kitchenette, nothing beats preparing your own meals. I eat in most of the time, and have no problem finding quality material.
In terms of a deli, meat, and cheese - I tend to stick to imported goods. Places I source from are as follows:
Brettos and HW Deli. Brettos is more convenient from from and a wider selection of products. You can find fresh bread, meats, cheese, and packaged goos here.
HW: the deli of my preference. Smaller, on friendship highway before the bridge/tony J on the left. I find prices slightly better than Brettos.
Beer/Wine: the "warehouse" - wholesaler for imported packaged goods and beer/wine. On the street immediately after Candybar on the left about 3 minutes down the road.
Here's the Bretto counter and some of my local beer/wine choices.
In terms of basic goods and food, Hypermart at SM Mall has just about everything one needs.
For veggies and fruit, the small market after Al Bacio (near Hotel Eureka) has an excellend choice as is the Thursday market (~4-6PM) by the VFW. Everything else I buy at hypermart.
