Chapter Four: Winding Down
--------------------------

Flew from Bangkok to Manila on Philippine airlines and have to say it was a smooth flight and service was 1st class!!! on time on departure and arrival. right away i got me a taxi ride to the Victory liner bus station on EDSA for my a/c bus to subic. got there in no time and hopped on a jeepney for my rude to Barrio Barreto and my reservation at treasure island on baloy beach.

I saw these cops in olongapo and i thought it was funny the term "law and order" (maybe).

My stay was brief on Barrio but had the opportunity to see some of the bars; one of them was catwalk (changes name like socks!!!). place is across the now RIP bart's hotel; got me this sultry sexy gal and PHP 1,500/2,000 was a steal, sexy all the way.

When to see this army buddy of mine and had the time to share some drinks at the good old reliable sit ' bull restaurant, on Del pilar street. excellent place to eat, a true "feeder".

Barrio has always been an acceptable place to wind ddown and relax, considering you have a beach area to enjoy some sun.
When it was time to head to angeles city, there is this shuttle van service just close to the victory liner station., for just under PHP 200 and using SCTEX highway, it only takes a little over 50' and you're there. beats taking the bus.

My stay in angeles city was this time Mustang suites;

Mustang suites is just on the other side of McArthur highway (away from fields ave). a good leisure walk if you don't have a ton of bags.

Small but worth your stay there. not many amenities but hope it will improve over time. rooms are spacious and clean with the regular comodities such as a/c, fridge, big bed, full bath, cable tv, etc...
no restaurant on premises but it doesn't matter to me, i tend to eat wherever i feel hungry and picky where i eat. of course no problem bringing chicks for the nite.
Bars on fields have had a radical transformation and not for the better to me. the influx of koreans, japs and chinese is pretty noticeable, this bring higher prices, including pussy!!! the ones worth visiting and small bars are: Gecko's, champagne. lollipop, etc...

Always a good place to have a nice meal and drinks is Tequila reef cantina;

Didn't do much barhopping, maybe 'cause i was already spent from my time in thailand and did mostly some shopping and hanging out with some friends.
A friend gave me ride to the airport in Manila and got there a little earlier than expected. I do always want to be on time and not rush at the last minute.
Philippine airlines uses one of the kind of new terminal but is hot as hell!!! you'd figure these pinoys would make sure they put some decent a/c system but i guess is too much thinking for these guys!?!?

d51 d52 d53 d54 d55 d56 d57 d58 d59

Look this up; this is high tech a/c system on wheels these pinoys think is acceptable!!!! go figure!!!!

This is an old problem and i've said this before. filipinos don't understand the meaning of: "first imppressions last forever"; checking in is ok, i guess, now, they cordoned off the area for the passengers and it was very tight space, you couldn't even go out to get snacks and use the toilet (toilets were not very clean). it was a very unpleasant time for me and i could see for some of the waiting passengers. i did told the airline personnel about these shortcomings but to no avail; and to be honest, they couldn't do nothing even if wanted to!!! that is the main reason i hardly tend to use Philippine airlines for any flights.
Once we started boarding i was so glad i was on the move again and at least had the comfort i would forget this bad airport experience once i get to the states.

FINAL THOUGHTS
--------------

I think considering i wanted to do some more things this trip i had the chance to accomplish a lot.
On another note i feel i made a very wrong comment in chapter one and typed along those lines the term dumb while saying something about sadao. I sincerely apologised for the poor choice of word and wasn't trying to disrespect anybody!!! sorry guys, never graduated from college!!!!!
I do hope you find this report in good taste, sorry again for been late and i kind of lost this report for a while(my laptop eat it and spit it out months later!?!?).
Looking forward for my next report and do more travel in my Asia of my passions.///

Here's my final thoughts:

1) That Subic girl is hot!

2) She proves that Subic is probably better than AC for finding hot girls for 1500 LT with ease.

3) Great report, but I have to say you should have held onto Khun in Pattaya and never mind the DVDs, when there's bit torrents, and other DVD vendors in Pattaya. An extra day in Subic would have yielded another hottie or a good repeat. AC is truly for the Chinese sweat shop owners now with money to burn. It's not a destination where any working Joe can have a blast for under $100/night.

Pennies for my thoughts;
Bigpoppa, you are right on this thai chick and is now history in my mind, would make a better choice next time. subic is always a good choice when wanting to stay low for a while over there. still buy some DVDs at Panthip plaza but not in the quantity i used to, now is just looking for and watching them in the internet. sure angeles city, Bangkok and specially pattaya are changing with times in a terribly faster pace and it won't be long before they all look like disneyland (going that way!!). all i can say i'm so glad i had the pleasure to enjoy them when they were really rocking in the old days!!
thanks for your comments and next time would try to post a better report.

Another fine TR MP. If you don't need the amenities Mustang Suites are a steal at $700 - $800 php per night. Champagne's is a must stop at least one time per visit and High Society has freelancer's on any given night after midnight. Looks like you enjoyed your time there!

thanks for the comments. now back into the real world and getting back with life. think next time i will go to PI and stay there the whole time. I don't see myself going to thailand in a while; except for some medical check ups, that about it!!!
