Some notes from a trip to Lima, Peru several months ago. It was actually my second time there. Both times were relatively short about 4-5 days. Enough to sample a little bit and get a feel for the city.

Taxi to/from LIM airport runs around $25 US. I think it was about 45 minutes to get to Miraflores. Not quick.

First trip I stayed in a hotel in Miraflores @ about $130 a night and a $30 chica fee. This time I rented an apartment in Barranco @ about $75 a night. Real nice modern furnished 1 bedroom apartment. Obviously no chica fee here, but I only brought one chica back one night. It was a newer, well-kept building with 24-hour security in the lobby, and I didn't want to be too obvious bringing in several chicas.

Patience Grasshopper, we will get to the good stuff. I am just setting the stage, like I do in some of my trip reports. It's good to know other information about a destination too... a good trip is more than just good pussy. Soon enough you will be reading about one of my more adventurous nights out.

I have been to Lima long but long ago. it was an awesome trip until i drank some tap water; true and my fault and my only!!!; was told not to do it but sometimes i'm like a donkey !! (don't listen). had a stomach problem that kept me in the hotel for the rest of the trip ( i got this problem on my 2-3 day).
I did get to enjoyed some peruvian dishes and are awesome, also the pisco sour is out of this world!!! i am planning to change vacation spots next time and considering going to Lima next year. like the Miraflores area; would like to stay at the maria luisa hotel, affordable and comfy and make my daily runs to las cucardas!! funny that time, not all taxi drivers knew where this place is?!?! (playing dumb?!?!, who knows!!). if i go there next year i would like to make a machupiuchu trip and go also to Iquitos or pucallpa. such a BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY TO RETIRED!!!!

Funny you mention Cucardas... so here's what I remember of that crazy night.

During the day I had the idea to just catch a taxi and ask the driver to take me to a place with chicas. I was willing to roll the dice and see what happens. Driver takes me to a place but it is closed. Some guy there says it's only open evenings. I make a note of the place Suites de Barranco and vow to check it out later. I return around 8pm and it is open. It's a high end place with high end prices. 130 soles to get in - almost $50 US ! This was the cheapest entry option and included one drink. Well I decide I am going to figure out the deal here so I pay and go in. Upscale interior. About 8 chicas and I am the only guy. Knew it was early. Over the next hour a few more chicas and guys roll in. I befriend a guy from Brasil and we hang out together, which made it more enjoyable. Chica quality was very good - most 8s with a couple 9s. Eventually one gets on stage to dance so we have a show to watch. This place has on-site rooms, but the prices were ridiculous. Even though I was almost certain I wasn't going to take a chica, I invited one over for a drink just to see where things went. She was smoking hot from Venezuela. My Brazilian buddy invited a chica over too. Chica drinks were 60 soles. Some enjoyable time with a little dancing and grinding but nothing more. Eventually she wants to know if I will take her to a room. I ask about seeing her OTC and she is lukewarm. My buddy's chica had already popped the question and left when he declined. Soon my chica is gone too when I decline. Well it was an OK hour or so spent in Suites de Barranco. Maybe. Clearly a place where the taxi drivers get a nice commision. Probably more fun if you're loaded $$$.

Brazilian buddy and I head out, having agreed to go to Las Cucardas. I had done my research and knew it was far away, so figured why not go tonight if another guy was interested and would split the taxi fare. It is indeed far away, maybe 30-40 minutes. Driver says he'll wait for us and we pay at the end. Was a little surprised but grateful for the offer. We pay 35 soles for an entry ticket which includes one beer. You can google this place and see photos outside and inside. This place is the opposite of Suites de Barranco. Low-end and cheap, filled with lots of local guys. Not a tourist place. It is basically a brothel where each girl has her own room, and if she's available she'll be standing in the doorway. Most of them are friendly and smiling. Reminded me of the RLD brothels in Frankfurt, but more compact. Las Cucardas has about 60 rooms over 2 floors. This night around 10pm, there were probably 40 chicas and 150 guys. We got our beers and spent a good hour walking all over the place checking out the options. Quality was surprisingly decent, most around 7 and maybe ten chicas an 8. You have to be quick, you might narrow it down to 2-3 chicas and when you walk around again they were taken and their doors closed. I spotted a hot chica with her friend in the lounge area. Went up to chat and she was available. She was from Equador. Walked back to her room, paid 100 soles for the session about 15-20 minutes I think. It was OK, safe service. Not GFE but what do you expect. After a beer it took a little effort but I got my nut and all was well. My buddy took a chica too and had a good time. We walked around a little more, there was a stage show starting but all the seats were taken. Decided to call it a night and returned to our taxi driver. In the end, my Brazilian friend says he spent all his money. I said I'd cover for him. Dropped him off first then me. I ask the driver how much, fearing the worst. But he asks me what do I think is fair. I say 150 soles. He says 170 and we agree. So the total cost of the Las Cucardas adventure was about 305 soles or $110 US. Not bad ! Fun but I knew I would not be repeating this trip.

I can hardly recall when I was last in Lima. Maybe mid-1990s. I enjoyed it.

At that time, I needed a lot of taxi money to get to the monger clubs that were about half-hour away from the main part of Miraflores.

One real problem at that time was counterfeit Peru currency. I ate at a McDonalds and later went to a internet cafe, where the cashier examined my 10-sole bill under an ultraviolet light and said it was fake.

I compared it to real bills and could not see any difference.

Really put a damper on my trip to worry about counterfeits.

Was this problem during your trip? Also, how about street crime, which seemed to have increased in all Latin American big cities over the past decade?

You're right abou the cucardas, i guess is low end but its a more enjoyable and secure place than the now gone trocadero. anyways, i always go there when in Lima (last trips: '97, '05, '09, i think....). las cucardas is a good place to me, hard to get a camera in 'cause they do check you out and if found (like in my case), is kept at the front entrance til you leave. think you can get as much pussy there as you can get and the cost is a lot minimal than if you pull a chica from the high end clubs in Lima. best way to go is to get a taxi to get there and there are always cabs waiting outside so no need to have a taxi driver waiting for you, remenber you will have to pay for his time!!!
another big help is if you speak some decent or pasable spanish. most Peruvians are not well verse in english, so keep this in mind. i heard about the suites of Barranco but never actually check this place out.
I beleive food is so rich and diverse that i adquired a taste for Peruvian dishes, pisco sour ( true place of Pisco, not that phony crab from chile!!!!), and its many variations and mix drinks are outstanding!!! step aside tequila or bacardi!!!!! Peruvian chicas are friendly and if you speak spanish is a big plus, just remenber that like in any latin country, they are conservative and most are looking for marriage!!!!

RTG> RT here. Cucardas is more secure than the Trocadero, but the Trocadero is indeed open. I was last there about 8 months ago, but there was a rating of a girl posted just yesterday in PeruTops. Those guys would have massive heart attacks if the Troca closed.

I didn't have any problem with counterfeit Peru currency, fortunately. Also no problem with street crime, though I did not venture too far alone at night. Mostly stayed in central areas, Miraflores and Barranco and a couple times outside those barrios by bus or taxi.

Yes they do a thorough security check before they let you inside Cucardas. I had a burner cell phone that they kept but I got it back no problem.

I love the pisco sour too ! Excellent drink.

Suites de Barranco is located at 250 Republica Panama, near Balta metro station. There is no sign or name... it's down a driveway next to Nuevo Peru.

The Venezolana at SdeB quoted me 1000 soles total but said she could do 950. At the time that was about $350 US. Clearly ridiculous, despite her claim she was being reasonable.

They have always had an overinflated opinion on the value of the girls at SdB. The girls are pretty, though.

It's like when a really nice suit is marked down for $3,000 to $2,600. Yes, they're giving you a deal, but it is still fucking expensive.

Next day was Sunday and I ventured to one of the Relax y Vida places. The address is Calle Carlos Villaran 121 Urb Santa Catalina , La Victoria - Lima. I took a taxi and the driver had trouble finding the place, even after he called them and they provided specific directions. After I learned it's not too complicated. It's about a 1 minute walk from Javier Prado metro station and up the stairs to a second floor entrance. Low key, I don't recall a sign.

I paid the 130 soles entry and they gave me a bag to leave my stuff like cell phone. You go in and there's a lounge area and bar. I was offered a drink and I chatted with the 4 chicas available. Good quality, two 7s and two 8s. I picked one of the 8s whose name was Liliana. Went up to a nice room with jacuzzi and large bed/mattress. Soft lighting. Clean and upscale. Undressed and changed into a robe and slippers. Left clothes in a locker. Liliana took me outside the room to a shower area. Had a good cleaning then back to the room. Sorry guys I don't remember all the details but it was a 9/10 experience. Massage and body slide. No FS but might have been BBBJ. She helped me dress after too. Liliana was sweet and affectionate, accomodating and Geisha-like. Tipped her 80 soles. Total was 210 soles or about $75 US.

Walked out to Javier Prado metro and took the bus back.

I would recommend this place. In fact I was so satisfied I went for dinner and called it a night.

More details on RyV#1 above. It was open 10am-11pm, Monday thru Sunday. It's near Tai Lok restaurant, across from Interbank.

Generic Vitamin V- available at MiFarma at the corner of Cantuarias y Larco. 2X50mg was 27 soles.

Metro Cards - You need to buy one to use the metro bus network. Price was reasonable, much cheaper than taxis.

I wanted to sample more of the Lima spa scene. Decided to check out a place called Spa OSHUN as it was centrally located at Av. Jose Pardo 182 Miraflores.

Spa OSHUN - aka Oshun Baņos Turcos Pardo - is in a medium-size office building on the main floor. A bit odd. You pass a security desk, I told them where I was going (basically 20 steps down the front lobby) and there was no problem.

This place was a big letdown. Entry was 40 soles. You change into a robe and slippers in a locker room first. A mid-twenties woman, slightly gorda, came in to greet me and said she offered massage. I said I would look around first. She spoke English though I didn't need to. Went downstairs and there were showers, a sauna, a jacuzzi, a small pool which wasn't heated, a few cubicles where you could sleep, and a big eating area at the back. Near the pool were several comfy recliners and a TV. The entry fee lets you hang out and use the facilities. I expected a nice place with lots of good looking chicas, but the place was almost dead. There was one other guy, reading a newspaper in one of the recliners under the bright lights. And one chica in a simple massage room, the chica I'd seen earlier. She offered massage for 60/hh or 120/h and added "I do everything". Did not find her attractive so I passed. Tried to make the best of it and walked around then sat down in a recliner to watch some TV. I lasted about 10 minutes then called it quits. Oh well, only 40 soles down the drain.

As I headed to the locker room, I observed a good looking young chica come in the front door of the spa, walk past the reception and head up a flight of stairs. Hmmm interesting. After changing I went to the reception desk and asked about her. Was told she went to the "other" part of the place. Also was told the girls in the "other" part ONLY do massage. Hmmm. I asked if I could go look and the reception lady said yes. Went up the stairs and there were 4 young good looking chicas hanging out. Chatted them up and they were available for sessions in one of the adjoining bedrooms. There were no massage tables in the rooms, just beds. So almost certain those chicas did more than massage. Why didn't anybody in the spa tell me about this "other" part?! If I hadn't seen that chica come in I would never have known. In the end however I did not partake as the quoted price of 350 soles/h seemed high.

So the bottom floor of Spa OSHUN was a dud, but the top floor was interesting. I guess this kind of place might work for some guys, but not me. I knew the Lima spa scene had much better to offer - better amenities and selection of good looking chicas at better prices. So I headed out to find another place.

I wasn't disappointed that the previous spa visit didn't work out. That just meant I could check out the next place on my list sooner. So next I headed over to Ananda Spa. Taxi was 8 soles.

I was surprised to learn Ananda Spa is near Angamos Plaza - a large shopping mall in Surquillo. Not far from Miraflores. The mall is at 1803 Angamos Este, at the corner of Tomas Marsano. Ananda Spa is diagonal from the mall at this corner, and down a bit at 1648 Angamos Este. I had walked by here before and had no idea there was a spa in the area. However this place is so well hidden you would never know. You go past some open gates into the parking area of a medium-size office building half a block long. It looks like it might have been an active business complex decades ago, but now looks run down. There is no sign for the spa. Veer to the left and there will be a security booth. Tell the guy you are going to officina 301 (mention "spa" if needed) and he will let you past the metal gate. Walk up the third floor and go to the back of the building and you will see the entrance to Ananda Spa. Impressively hidden!

I rang the bell and was buzzed in. As usual, had to leave cell phone etc in a bag at the front lobby. Choice of chicas was very good. About 8-10 chicas. A few 7s, a few 8s and one or two 9s. Not a line-up, just hanging out with them in the front lounge area. You could chat with them first and there was no pressure to pick. Ended up choosing a 24 Y/O Limena named Mariana. 110 for the hour. The place is semi-upscale with several rooms. In the room was a twin-size bed and a shower. Smaller than the room I had at RyV#1 above and no jacuzzi. Also not as quiet - at times you could hear music or other chicas outside. Mariana brought in a boombox so we had music in the room to block outside noise. Session was good, massage and bodyslide for most of the time. I think more was available but I chose a tittyfuck finish. Gave her 80 soles tip. Total cost 190 soles or $70 US.

Ananda Spa is a solid option with a convenient location. Would recommend. Compared to RyV#1 above it has a better selection of chicas. The rooms and service were a notch better at RyV#1 however.

Tequila Rock

Perhaps the most well-known mongering spot in Lima. In fact there are two locations. You'll pass one on the way from the airport to Miraflores. And the other in Miraflores. Only went to the latter. Both times it had a good selection of 20-30 chicas, with 5-10 guys. Good ratio. Chica quality was good, most 7s but several 8s and the occasional 9. Some Colombianas here. 40 soles entry. Drinks were reasonably priced. Chicas were asking 500 but would do 400 soles. You can negotiate more time than an hour. Took a chica out on both visits and had an excellent time with each. Total cost about $180 US.

Monica Cabrera Spa

This is an inexpensive, legit place but you might get lucky. I discovered it on my first trip to Lima. It's in Miraflores @ Av. Benavides 347, inside a small enclosed strip mall. You can't see it from the street though I think there is a sign. I enjoy getting a real massage so I checked it out. There were two young masajistas both attractive. Early 20s. Took an hour for 60 soles. Small place and small rooms but nice enough. Rooms are private and they play soft music to relax. My chica gave a good massage and didn't cover me up, even after I flipped. Very interesting ! Although she didn't make any sexual contact it was quite enjoyable. Tipped her 20 soles and on my way out asked if she could be more sensual next time. She laughed a little and said no. But I came back to see her another day anyways. Took 1.5h this time. Same service, after the flip I had a raging hard-on. But this time she was up for some fun, but said we had to be quiet. She took her top off and let me play with her tits and gave me a bodyslide ending in a happy ending. Got the impression she did not always do this. Great time. Tipped her 60 soles. Total damage for 1.5h was 150 soles or about $50 US.

Second trip to Lima this place was high on my daytime to-do list. Went three times and saw three different chicas (Mari/Jodani/Valeria). Prices were 60 soles for 1h and 80 soles for 1.5h. Did the longer session twice as it was such a great deal. Unfortunately I didn't get anything close to what I got last trip. Best was the last chica Valeria, who kept me covered on the flip, but just barely, and spent plenty of time massaging all around my groin giving me an obvious hard on but she kept going. It was great but no happy ending. Have to think another visit with her and that might have changed.

If you like regular massages, and enjoy pushing the envelope with young attractive "legit" masajistas, this place could be an enjoyable daytime diversion.

La Cabrera - no affiliation with Monica !

Rather it's a top notch Argentine-style steakhouse. Great ambience, great food though pricy. I spent $50 US on my meal with some wine and including tip. Worth every penny. The presentation was so impressive I almost didn't want to start eating. Unfortunately didn't have my camera. Highly recommended.

A few photos in and around Larcomar. It's probably the most well-known shopping mall in Lima, right on the ocean. Great views. A must-see. Lots of restaurants, shopping and even a movie theater.

Was La Cabrera at the end of Grau, right where it merges onto the street with the Metro? If so, I've walked by a few times and have wondered about it.

Well that's it. I found Lima to be fairly safe, slow and laid back. It might be a little dull for some people. Decent mongering options though not spectacular. I will likely be back some time.
