If the Fed raising rates a quarter basis point in September, the Real will head to 4 to 1 soon. The Euro is already there. (Bastards)
Having been here for the last ten days, I can tell you that there are signs of inflation (Coffee, etc) and that the economy is sputtering along. In fact, I was at Bel Prazer last week around noon and normally it would be a dick fest, but there were only a couple of guys there. The girl I was with told me that it was very slow lately. Again, that is just anecdotal but I suspect that there is some truth to it.
I also noticed that the prices in places like Duda and Bel Prazer remained the same from 2014 to now which says a lot.
I had drinks with a friend of mine that works at Petrabras and she was telling me that she was having to work until 9 or 10 every night because they had fired so many people and she was having to do their work.
So what all that means to you is simple. Get your fucking ass down here. We are back to prices of 2007 and 2008. No, it's not the good ole days of 02 and 03, but it is good enough.
Here are some photos to remind you that Rio is still the shit no matter what you may have heard. Last time I posted photos, they went off the page so I will try to do better with the resizer tool.
First up, some rare photos taken inside Help circa 2008. Yeah, I miss the place too, and Terraco.
I'll try to add to it as I go along.

And here is some scenary. Although today has been overcast, I had at least a week of nothing but blue skies.
By Itasca on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 - 01:30 pm: Edit
How about a rare photo from inside Luomo? Yeah, I miss it too. This was the old lounge room before they fucked it up.
By Itasca on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 - 01:35 pm: Edit
Here is the current state of the Museum of Image and Sound. They started demolishing Help in Jan 2010 and this is as far as they have gotten. I believe we started Freedom Tower around the same time.
Perhaps they are building a secret meeting place for the Bilderberg Society inside, but more likely, it's just typical Brazilian inefficiency and incompetence.

Now for some terma ass. I dedicate this to all of you Asian mongers who like to fuck girls with 12 year old bodies and think that all Brazilian women are built like linebackers.

One thing I want to caution all ATM users of is that you should only withdraw money when the bank is actually open because shit happens with their crappy banking machines and systems and you don't want to be standing there waiting for the door to open and you money never appears. Trust me, it deducted it from your bank account back home.
I've always had good luck with Banc do Brasil but not this trip. Every branch I try, I have a different issue. Once say it is unavailable and another says I have exceeded my daily limit when I haven't withdrawn anything that day. I did manage to get it to give me $R200 the other day, but for the most part I have been sticking with Bradesco which caused another problem.
Last week I stumbled in there about 5 o clock half drunk and tried to withdraw 800 Reias. It processed, but the door didn't open. I got nothing. And yes, it took it out of my Etrade acct.
The same thing happened to me at this same branch back in 2012. they didn't do shit. Etrade had to cover it.
So I had to do the same thing last week but this time, I dealt with only women and after about 45 minutes of waiting, they finally handed me 800 Reias.
So today when I withdrew the same amount from Bradesco, I called over the attendant and told him to watch the entire process. Everything worked out ok though.
Bottomline, don't withdraw money during banking afterhours or you may give yourself a major headache because of their incompetency.

Thanks for the photos. Saudades.
Great stuff. Many thanks for taking the time to report on what you're seeing and hearing. I'm on my way soon. Two trips in the next two months, with cheap airfares, cheap apartments, and cheap pussy!

The board has a pulse again ! Thanks for the report.
I would be interested to know what the freakin explanation is for why the museum of site and sound has not been built yet.
Does anyone even feel the need to provide an explanation? The years just roll by.
How do you take 6 years to build a medium sized building? I wonder if it will be done in time for the olympics.

Whatever you do, don't withdraw money using a Bradesco atm. In the last three years they have deducted my money from my Etrade account and not given me shit.... three times.
Back in 2012 they took $R600 and wouldn't do shit to fix it. Etrade had to cover it.
So I swore it off then and have used Banc do Brasil exclusively for years without issue.
Until this trip.
For some reason either the Banc do Brasil doesn't want to read my card OR it will only let me withdraw $R250 out at a time. Anything more and it says I have exceeded my daily limit which is horseshit. It will let me withdraw $R250 out again in a few hours. I haven't tried it back to back to back but I may do so today.
Which brings me back to Bradesco. I told part of this story a few messages up in this thread.
I had to resort to using them because the first few days here I couldn't get anything out of Banc do Brasil. So I was successful at pulling out $R800 several times.... then the fuckers did it again.
Took $R800 out of my account and didn't give me shit. I had to go the next day and wait over an hour and they finally handed me $R800.
Yesterday it happened again, this time with $R250. Said "Transaction did not complete". I went back to my apt and looked at my account... yeah it did. roughly $70 was missing.
I went back to Bradesco again and waited and waited. Not only did they not give me my $R250 becasue they said it did not go through, but they said I owed them the $R800 because they said it was returned back to my bank.
Normally I would have said "ok, checks in the mail" but I have a Brazilian bank account with those fuckers so they were just going to deduct it from there anyway.
So now I have to explain all of this shit to Etrade and hope they will refund my roughly $300 (yep, that's all $R1050 is now
once again.
This is the type of inefficient incompetent shit that keeps them in the developing world.

Also, a correction on the place I mentioned above called Copa Terapias - 583 Copa Ave sala 505 - it is still real massage but no offer of a jerk at the end. It is now $R100. Good massage but they used to relieve all of your pressure for $R20 more but it was neither offered and scrubbed from their website.
Bottomline, if you want a really good massage, go there, but I can't really recommend it anymore.

I took this shot of the backside of the museum. They are spending a lot of time doing the back and it looks nice with a unique design with a built-in image..... but no one can see.
It's going to look great for the people that live in the building behind it, but all of that effort is going to be missed by most people.
Some sexy scenery and girls in these pics...Thanks

I just experienced two of the most perfect weather days this past weekend. Couldn't have ask for better weather.
I spent the morning on the beach Saturday, then came in around 2:00 and walked over to Ipanema and ate lunch at the Blue Agave.
Then I walked out to Ipanema beach and sat for a while in the warm afternoon soon. Great day.

Sorry about the delay. I've been out of the beach getting fucked up on Barcardi Rum ($R30) this afternoon.
I didn;t take my camera with me but at one point this young woman came up and sat within 20 ft of me and guys.... she looked like Alessandra Ambrosio. Google her. I'm sorry I don't have any pics but trust me she was fucking hot. I thought she was in her late teens at first, but then she took off her shorts and she had a big tatoo on her hip. I've never understood why beautiful women want to fuck up their bodies with tatoos, but then again ,there are a lot of things I don't understand about them.
Anyway, fuck..... she was smoking hot. I'm pissed that I don't have a pic of here too.
Also, I went downtown this morning and fucked a doll of an 18 yr old at Flavia Massage for $R120. Yep, do the math. Tight as hell.
Finally, I know you guys like pics so here are some girls I've fucked in the past.

Here is one of the great sunsets I captured in Ipanema
This is a friend of mine on top of one of the mountains. That is probably the most impressive view of the city I have ever seen.
And this is my latest Tinder girl with me on the beach today.
I've always wonder why I've never seen a sunset in Rio. Usually I was in 4x4 during sunset but there must of been 1 day I should of seen one.

I know time is short for a lot of people that come down here but you really should take some time to do other things at different times of day and go other places in the city. If you are just running to a whorehouse every afternoon into the evening, you are missing out on so much.
Also, a note about Tinder. You aren't going to be successful on it unless you can at least fake that you live here. Despite its reputation, women don't treat it like a hook-up app. Well, maybe the 17 and 18 year olds but the others treat it just like Match.com or some other site like that.
But if you are here for an extended stay and have rented an apartment long-term, all of the single women in this city appear to at least be on it.
However, it will dispel one notion you may have about Brazilian women. They aren't all hot.
Jesus fucking Christ, I've seen more ugly ass women on that site than I can count. My advice, keep your searches in the 20s because as you know, women age in dog years and it gets pretty rough fast after they break 30.

Over the last year or so, it has gotten to the point where I hate to take the metro. Since they opened up the General Osorio station, you can usually never get a seat so you have to stand up the whole way.
I will usually take it downtown, but when I come back during the day, usually around lunchtime, I grab a bus out in front of Carioca.
Now before you snark at that, it is actually faster than the metro if you get on the right bus.
The one you want to look for is Copacabana 121. There are several that will say Copacabana on it, but some of them aren't direct routes and will go through Botafogo and Flamengo and it will take you almost an hour to get back.
121 is the one you want. Once you break through the logjam on Rio Branco, it's almost a straight shot with only one or two stops before you get to Barato Ribiero in Copacabana. Then you can get off wherever you want.
Speaking of Ave Rio Branco, it is a shitstorm right now. They are tearing it up down the middle to install new pipes and what looks like a trolley that will run down the center.
In any event, they have a lot of it fenced off and people are herded into these narrow passageways to get across the street.
By the way, I got 3.69 out of the ATM today. That was based on yesterday's close of around 3.74. It spiked to almost 3.80 before settling back a bit.
Here are some other photos you might enjoy.

Are you mostly sessioning on-site?
Besides Eden, are there any other massagem/prive options in Copacabana? Can one still manage to get terma workers to the apartment on their days off / before or after their shift?
By Itasca on Friday, September 04, 2015 - 05:24 am: Edit
I've been heavily involved in the apartment scene. 4x4 can kiss my ass really. I'm kind of over going in there and standing or sitting around like a pathetic fuck. And when you are by yourself, you are even more pathetic looking.
I also find it hard to go in there and pay $R300 plus to bang when I can do it for $R120 with no downgrade in looks or quality.
As far as getting them back to your place, sure, money talks, but it is going to cost you. I suspect most of them would want at least $R400 and that might only be for an hour or so, then they bolt.
Other than Eden, I only know of Copaterapias in the same building but as I said, they are under new ownership I guess since I was there last year and they offer no help in the area down there.
Onix Massage downtown gives a token massage plus complete, or so I hear, for $R170. However, I don't need a half-ass massage for $R50 more when I go walk next door to Bel Prazer and get the same thing for $R120.
By the Bel.... nice line-up. Always turning over though. At any given time though there are 20 - 25 girls in there. I ask about it every time.

By apartment scene, you are referring to the office building brothels on Rio Branco right? Massagems / Prives. Did you go to the ones in Tijuca?
You posted a lot of photos of GDPs in what looks like your apartment, are these from the current trip or some of your greatest hits?
By Itasca on Saturday, September 05, 2015 - 02:37 am: Edit
Yes, Rio Branco apts. No Tijucca.
If their faces are blurred out, they aren't GDPs. It's just an example of how many woman hang around if you stay down here long enough. I met a lot of them online or through other women this year. I just thought I would try to liven up this dead site a bit.
Going to the ATM later this morning to get what will be a rate of around 3.79 after yesterday's close. Good times fellas.

Here are some other photos from around the area. If you have never taken the ferry over to Niteroi, I highly recommend it. To get there, take a bus from Copa that says Praca XV and that will let you off at the ferry station in centro. Or, take the metro and get off at Carioca and then cross Rio Branco and start walking toward the water. It is not a bad walk at all.
There is a small shopping center at the boat station across the bay where you can grab some lunch and then come back over. Some of the best views of the city are from the water, and it is cheap, sort of like the Staten Island ferry in NYC.

Is the building with the trashy apartment brothels still open in Niteroi? The pricing structure used to be just like BA85, R1 per minute. They caught a popular soccer star there partaking in the hooker services in that building. Undercover video was in the news & on youtube probably 4-5 years ago.
By Itasca on Tuesday, September 08, 2015 - 02:38 am: Edit
I don't know about Niteroi man. Seems like a long ways to go just to get laid when you have so many options in centro.
So anyway, this will probably be my final post unless something new comes up that I need to warn you about.
My purpose of this report was to show you that Rio is still Rio and it is still the best location for beach, scenery and women in the world. And with the current collapse of the Real, it can't be beat.
Inflation is still a concern, but you really only see it in some food items at the grocery store or in metro or bus prices. But with getting 3.70 plus for your dollar, even things like Jack Daniels Old #7 for $R109 on sale at Zona Sul has come back to earth.
But as I said before, the prices in the apartment cat houses downtown have stayed the same since this time last year. No pricing power because demand is off.
In fact, I have been eating out a lot more. One of my favorites is Blue Agave either in Ipanema or Copa. They have a lunch special there right now with 2 tacos, beans and rice for $R16.
Once again, do not withdraw money from Bradesco. At least 50% of the time they will deduct the money from your account in the USA and not give you shit. Stick with Banc do Brasil. I've never had an issue with them in over a decade.
One note about Banc do Brasil though. I've only been able to withdraw $R500 a day from them. Anything more and it says I have exceeded my daily limit. That has nothing to do with my bank at home so something new is going on there. I speculate that since the Euro and the US Dollar are so strong right now, it wouldn't take many gringos coming in there and cleaning out the machines of money every day just by asking for 500 dollar or Euros worth of Reais. That would be almost $R2000 per withdrawal and you can see how that would add up and the machines would need refilling. Just speculation on my part though. Others may not have an issue but I know it has nothing to do with my bankcard.
Remember, if you are going to use WhatsApp or Tinder down here, be sure to register them in the USA first because to activate each, they have to send you a code to your phone.
I end this with some of the photos you like. Some I took over the last year, others women sent me over WhatsApp.
Enjoy and get your asses down here.

How do you get up to the mountain top where that picture of your friend was taken? I would love to go there and take some pics.
By Itasca on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 - 04:41 pm: Edit
Also, I've gotten several inquiries about certain women in the photos. I don't know what to tell you other than it probably wasn't "your" girl. The odds are against it so relax.
But if you happen to recognize a tattoo in a strategic location all I can say is..... sorry, I fucked your girlfriend.
And guess what? She didn't say anything about you.
My only advice is.... don't have a girlfriend on another continent. Bad idea.

Most of the metro trains have now been converted to newer cars that look a lot sleeker. The lead cars actually have a bullet-type nose on them.
They also open to the next car which at first I thought was going to be really great because that allows people to migrate to the next car and so on if one starts to fill up.
However, whatever convenience Brazil giveth, it normally taketh away. Now I can't take a ride on one without some fuck parading down the entire length of the train begging for handouts. It is usually someone blind being led by some old person or someone pretending to be blind.
It is kind of cool to stand in the last car and look up through the entire train and watch how it zigs and zags. That line is no where near being a straight line I can tell you that.
As far as withdrawing money out of the ATM, I have been using Banc do Brasil exclusively for the last three weeks with no issues. I can still only withdraw $R500 a day though for some reason.
Again, do not use Bradesco. Some of all of the withdrawal drama I talked about might scare you off from trying to do that down here and instead make you want to exchange cash. That has never been my thing. I think it is a terrible idea to bring a wad of cash like that. I knew a guy that used to bring $10,000 in cash for a 3 week trip and slowly exchange it. Too many things can go wrong with that. Even if your apt has a safe, they hardly ever change those combinations and for that matter, the keys to the front door.
Also, the cambios are goign to give you at least .10 below the current exchange rate where as the ATM will charge you 1%, typically around .04 off the current rate.
I had a friend arrive yesterday and the first thing he did was go to exchange money. I asked him what rate he got and he said he didn't know because the guy was in a hurry and just handed him the cash. He assured me he had always been fair with him which I don't believe. This particular guy is also extremely naive so the dude probably gave him around 3.65 and he doesn't even know it.
Here is a photo of a girl that walked by on the beach the other day. After I fumbled around for my camera, that is the best I could do but GD, she was fine as hell. I wanted to take my face and bury it in her ass.
Until next time.

Here's how good things are now: I had a dupla with two great freelancers. We were together for almost 3 hours of fucking and drinking. It set me back just over $125 US.
I will be back in Rio next week.....Got a regular I will be hooking up with ( a civilian) so at this point not sure I will have anything interesting to report. Let's see....if this changes I will post a report.

When I first started this update on Rio in mid August, I titled it as going to 4 to 1 soon. When I arrived in mid August, I was pulling around 3.47 out of the ATM. In just one month the Real has fallen almost .50. I got 3.89 out of the ATM yesterday. Good times.
Here are some photos from the beach yesterday and one from one of my bike rides. They have created a very wide sidewalk around the curve in Leblon so now you can easily ride a bike to the Sheraton and beyond. I think they are going to extend it all the way to Barra.
Also, below is one of Bel Prazer's finest still curled up asleep after the mauling I gave her last night. I'm not going to tell you which one because all of you will go in there and fuck the shit out of her just to spite me. ;)

A monumental moment was passed yesterday as the first time in my Rio vacation fucking career, the Real crossed the 4 to one threshold. Since it closed well above 4, I am going to wait until about mid-day to go pull some money out of the ATM since there is about a day's delay on the rate you get. At that point I should be able to officially say I got 4 to 1 out of the ATM.
Like a prophet, a Prophet of Poon, I called 4 to 1 at the beginning of this report.
If you have only experienced Rio in the last decade in the sub two or slightly higher range, then you really need to give it another look because dividing everything by four is magical. It's uplifting and soothing in the way a 18 year old at Bel Prazer strokes the back of your cock with her tongue, as happened to me yesterday, a glorious site indeed to watch. I went in there despite the fact that my Bel gf told me not to while she is away this week visiting family in Minais. She told me that the other girls would tell her if I went, but fuck, I don't care. She doesn't know who she is dealing with. All will be well I suspect even if she finds out.
Speaking of Bel let me inform you of something that I had to tell a dumbass friend of mine yesterday. He assured me that if you went an hour and paid $R150, they gave you one of the bigger beds on the floor. I told him he was full of shit and it was random and he was wasting $R30.
I was right. I was on a big bed yesterday and only went 40 minutes as I always do. And I remembered I was in the same cabini last week too, again with only a 40 minute session. So don't talk yourself into any bullshit like this Magoo and convince yourself you are getting special treatment by paying for an hour instead of 40 minutes. All you are getting for that extra $30 is her taking longer to come to the room, her taking a longer shower and the two of you laying there awkwardly after you have blown your load longer.
If you prefer the bigger beds on the floor, what you can do is as you are walking back with the girl, tell her you want that. She doesn't give a fuck and they don't care which open cabini she goes in.
Same with Duda. You get nothing special for going an hour, but I will tell you the better cabinis are across the hall so always ask for one of those. They all have big beds on the floor.
By the way, Duda doesn't really have a good lineup right now but that could all change next week.
As for the Real, I remember those down years all too well. None of us thought we would ever see 2.50 let alone what it is now. When I renovated my apartment almost a decade ago, I wanted to install a split a/c unit in it but it was going to cost roughly $R3000ish and be almost $2000.
I had it done last month for a total of $R2815 which ended up being about $750 at the time.
For those of you that remember, Dominos has the two for Tuesday pizzas which I usually get. The two mediums at $R36.90 which works out to about $9. I eat on those things for two or three days.
Generic Viagra is still cheap if you know how to get it. I have been paying $R33 for boxes of 4 pills @ 100 mg. I promptly cut them in half and double my stash.
I go to Droga Raia because I have what amounts to a preferred shoppers card there. It drops the price considerably. Without using the card, the price for the same box comes up as $R80 I believe.
Also, a little tip. If you buy more than three boxes at a time, it drops the price about $R6 a box.
So how do you get one of those cards? You can't unless you have residency. It's not like getting a Zona Sul or Pao de Acrucra discount card where you just give your CPF on a form.
For this one, you have to have a Permanent RNE number before they will let you have it. So that piece of information is not going to really do most of you any good, I'm just providing it as a benchmark on what you should expect to pay. Prices will vary from drugstore to drugstore and you may be able to find the same box/dosage in another one in the $R50 to $R70 range. However, I usually have to make multiple trips to buy some when I'm down here because everyone wants to use my card. The other day I bought 5 boxes for someone.
Finally, some more information about buses. As I mentioned before, I take buses almost exclusively downtown and back now because I just find the scenery and experience better than standing up riding in an underground tube.
The bus you want to try to get on outside of Carioca is 121. It is almost a straight shot to Barato Ribiero where you can get off anywhere.
Another number you can look for is 128 or 132. Both are straight shots also, only they turn to the right at the Cardeal Acoverde metro station and go down Rua Tonelero instead of Barato Ribero, which runs parellel.
Try to get on the 121 though first because they are doing some construction on a building on Tonelero and traffic can be slow in parts.
As far as taking a bus downtown, it is a little more difficult because they don't stop at every bus stop, but try for the 125 Central. It takes you downtown on a straight shot then you can exit anywhere along the road where the big Theatre is located and walk across the busy street heading away from the water toward Rio Branco about 3 or 4 blocks.

I didn't go and pull any money out today like I said because I saw the rate spiking again. So I will wait until mid-day tomorrow and go get about 4.12/4.13 out of the ATM based on the close today of 4.178. Amazing.
Thanks for the regular updates, Itasca. I had a good time 2 weeks ago in Rio, but planning to have even more fun when I return on the 5th.
I've been making 3-4 trips a year to Rio for over 20 years, along with a couple of extended stays. I've never seen a situation like this. I've got freelancers I know begging to get on my calendar, and a couple have proposed discounts off their usual rate. Their local business has apparently slowed considerably. It's a great time to be a tourist with dollars in Rio.
I will be back on Friday....yippe...go dollar!
How long are you in town, LM? I'll be arriving on the 5th.
Only for 5 days...going home Wednesday of next week...got too much work going on, but still wanted to get in some play time with the dollar peak right now. Unfortunately even if the dollar stays high, inflation is pretty high as well - so it will catch up somewhat to the increased currency exchange in the coming months as well.
But I think the girls will be hungry for business as the economic crisis in Brazil just seems to be getting worse so that might keep prices down from that perspective.
I want to also scope out Emporio in Ipanema - that always had working girls, but I wonder how many more since Balcony closed. Also Shenanigans... the girls had been chased out somewhat but I wonder if some have found their way back.

Yesterday was a great example of why you shouldn't try to exchange dollars down here. When the currency is this volatile, the cambios aren't going to risk giving you anything near the currently traded rate because they risk losing on the trade when they turn the money over.
So for example, if you had gone into a cambio yesterday morning when the Real hit 4.24, they wouldn't have given you anywhere near that. More than likely you would have gotten around 4 or less.
Why?
Because the volatility in the currency right now is unprecedented and they know it. Remember, when I arrived in mid August, the Real was at 3.50. Currencies simply do not move like that in one month.
So using that same example above, if you had gone into a cambio around 4 pm yesterday when the real had retraced back to 4.05 and still strengthening, you would have probably gotten around 3.85.
I know a lot of you like to have the security of having a wad of dollars while you are down here but as I said before, I think you are courting disaster with something happening to it. I prefer money on demand.
I finally pulled some money out of the ATM yesterday after about five days. I got it around 4 pm which would have still been based on the previous day's close. With my 1% foreign withdrawal fee, I got 4.06, the first time I have officially gotten over 4 to 1 for my dollar. Amazing.
If you are jonesing for Mexican food while you are here, you have three choices: Rota 66, Blue Agave and Azteka. The first two have locations in Ipa and Copa. Blue Agave currently has a lunch special with two tacos, beans a rice and a small salad for $R16.
Rota 66 is a bit more expensive. I went there for lunch the other day and got a chicken burrito plus mixed rice and salad for $R42. Here is what it looked like. More food but bigger price.
Also, I talked about viagra the other day. Expect to pay around $R50 plus depending on the drug store. That price is for 4 pills at 100 mg. You could be in for quite a shock when they say $R70 or something else.
I got these five boxes for $R33 a piece with my drug store card. If you are down here anytime soon, I don't mind buying some for you if I'm around and unlike other gringos down here in the past, I won't try to make money off you.
Here is a photo one of my friends put up on FB when she came into town for Rock in Rio. Rod Stewart was staying at her hotel.
Finally, here is a photo of one of my pain in the ass girlfriends. She works in a hair salon in Zona Sul. I say pain in the ass because she always wants to go out with a bunch of people and I'm not in to all of that shit anymore. I just want to eat something at night and lay in bed and watch Law & Order or something while she rubs my feet or belly. So we are constantly butting heads over that. But with an ass like that, I tend to put up with a few irritations.

Well, I should have waited until this morning to withdraw that $R500 yesterday afternoon. I got R$4.06 then based on the previous day's close.
I went this morning about 7:30 to get more and I pulled out $R300 at a rate of 4.15, even though it closed late yesterday at 3.95, I still got that. Unfuckingbelievable.

Things are really bad down here for a lot of the natives. They are either working a lot of hours for very little pay or not working at all. Earlier in the report I mentioned my friend at Petrabras and how she was having to work until 9 or 10 at night doing other people's jobs that they had laid off. Well, she finally got the axe a couple of weeks ago and is now scrambling to find another job and another place to live because she can't afford the apartment she is in. That's just one of many situations like that down here.
Anyway, after a brief strengthening of the Real after they announced they were going to support it again last week, it has resumed its downward trend. I knew that wasn't going to work which is why I haven't withdrawn any money since last week when I got 4.15 out of the ATM. I remember this time last year when the Real was trading around 2.30 bumping up against 2.40 and the officials here said they were going to aggressively defend the Real at 2.50. That didn't work out so well because there really is nothing they can do to stop the pessimistic slide.
Here are some more photos from Ipanema and Copa Beach over the last few days.

Do you have vanity license plates embossed ASSMAN?
I can relate

Actually, I can't take credit for these photos on the beach. A friend of mine took them. He has probably the best zoom on a sub $300 point and shoot camera I have ever seen. He can peer through umbrellas, chairs and annoying vendors to zero in on ass.
Also, I mentioned earlier that they were still working on the Museum of Image and Sound and that they had spent a lot of time on an intricate design created with tiles on the backside.... which no one can see.
Anyway, you can finally make out what it is. It's a woman with her mouth open. How appropriate for this city because I have had some of the best dick sucking sessions this year ever. It's like a whole bunch of them went and took a dick sucking class. Most of them absolutely love it.

If you are down here this time of year, you will probably want to have a way to watch the NFL without going out to find a bar that has it. In the past I have used my Slingbox back home, but occasionally something happens to it and I can't connect to it like this trip. It worked fine before I left but I can't connect to it remote away from my home network. I believe it has something to do with my home router settings, but I can't do anything about it until I get back home.
I've been using this site:
http://www.stream2u-tv.me/sports/nfl.html
The games are spotty sometimes and some of the links have annoying click through ads that keep popping up, but if you keep at it, you can usually find a link with a clean game.
Also, you can watch a lot of the network tv shows online now by going through your cable or satellite portal page. You just sign into your main account with your provider and click on the channel you want.
You will need to trick it into thinking you are in the USA and I do that by using CyberGhost, a free program you can download. It works on most websites and apps, although the FX Now app is annoying stubborn and won't authorize content play.

Well, for the first time in Rio, probably ever, there has been a price reduction at one of these apartment brothels in Copacabana. My friend went there recently and told me what he paid, and I didn't believe him because I had gone to the same place in August and it was much more.
However, I went to their website and he was right. They dropped the price significantly.
When I went in August they had a weird pricing structure with a massage and jerk for $R120, massage and oral for $R170 and massage and complete for $R250.
That was the pricing structure going back to at least last year around this time.
But since I was there a month ago, they simplified and dropped the pricing structure.
Now.... 30 minutes $R150 massage and complete
1 hour $R200 massage and complete
Again, that is in Copacabana so if you don't feel like going downtown, that is an affordable option. They are also open on Saturday.
Here is the website:
http://edenspa.com.br/
You can't really go by any photos on these sites because the girls come and go so they don't update them very often.
All I can say is that my friend is very picky and he likes the place. He's gone three times in the last week I think.
So check it out. I don't know how long it will last, but the fact that they dropped the price is telling.
Ave Nossa Senhora 583, sala 401 I believe.
The website is even touting its novos precos.
By the way, I appreciate your efforts in providing new info on Rio. Great job.

Best advice I can give you today is don't do Ingrid at Duda right now. She's a tall striking blond with frizzy curly hair, but her pussy smells like that fish market down by the Fort in Copa.
Also, about Bobby Flishman. I too got the mass email as did everyone that ever did anything with him and all I can say is.... boo fucking hoo. If you knew what I knew about that fuck ... anyway, I can't say anymore or he will write Hombre and get it deleted like he has in the past but you get the gist.
Here are some photos that my friend has captured over the last week with his incredible zoom camera. Sometimes you never know what you are going to get from 50 to 100 yards away but there should be something in the group most of you will like.

When I first arrived a couple of months ago, I tried Tinder again but for some reason, I wasn't having the same success I did when I used it last year. I even told some of my friends that I thought it had played out, that women were tired of using it. So for the first month and a half, I talked to a bunch of women but nothing really caught my attention and motivated me.
Then about 3 weeks ago it exploded again. I guess I put up some better photos because it is back to what I remember last year.
Therefore, don't give up on it if you are going to be here for a while. True, you aren't going to be able to date women if you are a short-timer (they see right through that) but even so, you can use it to find putas on there too. You don't even have to match them, most put their WhatsApp number on their profile.
The exchange rate is still great and it is popping back toward 4 again. Since mid August I have averaged around 3.77. My high was the day I pulled some money out of the ATM at 4.15. I couldn't believe it. I've also had several withdrawals of around 4.05 and 4.09. Good times. Your money goes a long way and you will find that you are eating out a lot more.

Tinder. She was very tender too. I'm amazed at how many women are actually on it, women of all ages.

Thank you for the reports. Heading there in July for a month. appreciate all the info. Welcome any addition updates as well.
Great report! Might have to head back to Rio.
So sad that L'uomo is closed. You mentioned you still go to 4x4 and Monte Carlo. What does MC cost these days? (In a regular cabina for whatever the normal time is. 45 minutes?)
Thanks Itasca.
Cheers!
