I figure more of you will be coming over here with the cheaper airfares. So this is a quick public service announcement.

I've been too busy for "hobbying" this summer and had planned to "break the fast" with a trip to the Philippines. (That's only three hours away.) With gonorrhea being rampant in the P.I. I was only going to go with the most exquisite specimen. But after searching for days I found no one who met that standard, and came back home. That's right: so help me, I went to the P.I. without doing anything! I swear on the CH site. :-)

That brings us to Moral #1: anytime you set foot in the P.I., even without doing anything, you will get gonorrhea.

Cut to the chase:
I picked up a girl at the Rainbow Club, which some folks call "Rainbow One." She was a nice chocolatey Esarn girl, "Toy" from Surin, 22 years old. She had had no kids. She had no tattoos and no implants, and an unshaven pussy. That's just what I like: a fresh country girl. A Thai version of Ellie-May Clampett.

(Note: she's not the only "Toy" working at that club. If I remembered her number I'd include it here. The other Toy I know there is from Chumphon --white skin and has had a kid.)

She had it. Withing 48 hours it started burning during urination. I thought "Nah," but by several pisses later there was no denying it.

I went to Bumrungrad Hospital. Some expats give me flak about going there (higher prices), but you get what you pay for: I lay down on my tummy gazing out at a spectacular hi-rise view of Bangkok, with its skyscrapers going out to the horizon.

Also --and I thought this was a really nice touch-- they injected a Rocephyn ampule into each (ass) cheek, rather than one big injection. So I was able to walk out on my own instead of being wheel-chaired out to a taxi.

Moral #2: Looks can be deceiving. No matter how pure and innocent she looks, she could have something. {Especially if she barebacks no questions asked. Duh.)

I was sure I was coming down with a cold because my throat was getting scratchy and sore. But as I type this, that sensation is fading away. (Yes, I had gone down on her.)

For the record, this is only the second time in fifteen years I caught it at Nana Plaza. (I was living here full-time then also.)

Not to ruin your day Costar but your chances of contracting HIV/AIDS from a female carrier (bareback) is fairly low around 0.38%. The risk factor multiplies by as much as 8 to about 3% when the HIV/AIDS and Gonorrhea are both in play.

I think it's safe to say that very few on this board are concerned with HIV.

However, gonorrhea is a concern, depending on where you go. For guys going to the PI, I think most of them are prepared for clap, if not outright expecting it. It's pretty much a cost of doing business there these day, for the bareback crowd at least.

So, if the clap starts to become more commonplace elsewhere, guys need to know. It probably won't change much, but at least they won't be surprised if they catch it.

Some of us are lucky, Cat, I haven't had it in 10 years. Or maybe what we think is good "selection judgment" actually is. But part of the "good judgment" is that the clap is rare in LOS, where I bareback about 30% or more (excluding Mango Massage, only ever had one from there).

The risk of getting the drip is increasing in AC and I think HM is correct, good judgement goes a long ways but it's certainly no guarantee. I don't bar fine that much when I'm there, not nearly as much as I used to since I spend more time with companions who don't work in bars, at least not any longer. The two times I got hit with the drip were from Thailand and the good ole USA. Never had a problem in the Philippines.

I do also don't get to pick gilrs out of the bars as much as i used to do in these past yearfs, guess, i'm getting older. still, i realise i need to be careful and always practice safe sex; which means condoms and all other common safety issues. sorry to say but going bareback is a no no for me and going down on the chick is taking way too many chances and playing Russian roullete!!!!
