I still go Rio every now and then since I have very direct ties that keep bringing me back.

I generally don't post too much anymore, since my scene for the last year has been a couple of regulars I return to. Since my trips are usually short, 3-4 days - just like this one, I do not venture out too much from a mongering perspective.

This trip was different as I had gotten tired of the two regulars and just blew them off. This got me motivated to do some limited searching.

But time was limited, as I had to squeeze in two important too do's into my trip: 1) A trip to a dentist which I had planned about 1 month in advance, 2) Go to Maracana Stadium and watch the Flamengo vs Vasco game on Sunday.

On Friday night after an awesome dinner at Garota de Ipanema and hanging out at Blue Agave, headed to Emporio to check out the scene. A little later the working girls showed up - maybe about 5 regulars that I recognized. But I was with a Brazilian friend who is not a fellow monger and has connections to my private life, so could not act on anything. After we left Emporio and he headed home, I decided to take a bus and head down to Mab's Restaurant in Copa. I sat in the restaurant and had a few beers - some girls, but nothing spectacular. Walked down Av Prado Junior and by the various bars. Saw some of the former Balcony Bar's girls hanging out until I finally saw a girl that peaked my interest.

A hot tall black girl in a jump suite caught my attention. She was loud and boisterous, the Favela type, which then made me think twice. I am glad I pulled the trigger because she was an absolute sex manic - we fucked for several hours before I was just plain dead tired and sent her home. I gave her R$200 without asking, which now is only $50.00. Worth every penny.

I repeated with her again on Sunday and it was just as good.....awesome wild session. True porno movie quality!

Overall lots of buying power with the dollar being at 4:1. Eating out and most importantly good is actually affordable again. A meal at Frontera Grill set me back about R$40, or $10 - Garota de Ipanema's awesome Picanha de Chapa is R$104, which was insane when the dollar was low - now it is mere $25.00.

I also bought some generic Viagra. The pharmacy on the corner of Visconde de Piraja and Rua Farme de Amoedo has an offer, buy 2 generic and get one free. I bought 2 packs of 8 pills of 50mg for around R$66 and got one free. A total of 24 50mg pills for R66, or $16.50. So that brings the cost to .69cents per 50mg pill, or around $1.40 if you like to use 100mg. Great deal.

Overall great time in Rio. It certainly helps that I speak Portuguese and know my way around, but for those of you that do not just stick to the known termas and you will be more then happy!

Now is a great time to go - while the dollar is high and inflation has not caught up to it yet.

Thanks, LM. I'll be arriving in 5 days and plan to test the limits.

LM it is fun to change the normal venue from time to time. Very easy to go back to old habits. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Rio is different than before. Among us mongrels we refer to it as PHC (pre Help Closing).
You find yourself more selective and have to look in other places, but you can still have a lot of fun

Curitiba info I've posted a few years ago is up to date still.

Lovin,
It sounds like your Afro-favela hottie didn't speak English. Another reason everyone should learn Portuguese… BUT
Are you saying non-Portuguese speakers should only stick to the termas?

By Lovingmarvin on Tuesday, November 03, 2015 - 10:38 pm:  Edit

Without a doubt speaking Portuguese helps alot and will expand your horizon quite a bit. Not saying that non-Portuguese speakers should stick to termas, but at times communication can be a challenge. Termas cut through this potential communication challenge with established pricing. Some of the girls outside the termas will speak some english, but sometimes they do not......the more experienced ones do speak some.

Would I stick to only termas if I did not speak Portuguese.....No....but that is me. I did not speak the language when I first started to visit...but time and other factors certainly motivated me to learn.

Cool.Your personal preferred/suggested terma locations(for the Portuguese-impaired)in Rio ?

By Beefjerky1 on Friday, November 06, 2015 - 07:45 pm:  Edit

Late 2012 ifo:

All the first division termas have English speakers at their front desk. The manager at Monte Carlo speaks fluent English.

You should have no difficulties at any of the following.

Centro termas:

4x4
65
Cancun

Zona sul termas

Centaurus
monte carlo
solarium

True...you'll find a few girls who speak English in all the termas. If you don't speak any Portuguese, word gets around and the girls who speak some English will find you.

Bwana:
“girls who speak some English will find you.”

Ha ha- nothing like southern (South American) hospitality. Cool.

I vaguely remember Bwana “suggesting" renting an apartment versus hotels. I guess it's relatively safe to tell the girls at the termas where you're staying?

BJ1:
“All the first division termas”
Does first division refer to a specific location or neighborhood or is it just a general reference to quality as in” Div1 basketball teams at Florida State are better than Div3 basketball teams at Williams College”

By Beefjerky1 on Saturday, November 14, 2015 - 08:40 am:  Edit

More like the basketball analogy.

By Bwana_dik on Sunday, November 15, 2015 - 05:24 pm:  Edit

Apartment vs hotel: it's safe to bring a termas girl back; she's a bit less likely to rip you off because you know where she works, and she relies on rep=eat business and word of mouth. Nevertheless, when you do, keep all your valuables locked up, and never leave a drink of yours alone with her.
